The latest.

Per a report from NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Antoine Winfield Jr. is expected to be out a “couple” of weeks with a sprained ankle.

Bucs coach Todd Bowles said today Winfield suffered the injury on the second-last play of the win over Washington yesterday.

So not only are the Bucs down three corners and two starting defensive linemen, the Bucs will be without their All-Pro safety and playmaker when they travel to Detroit.

Bad news on injury front.

An under-the-radar free agent signing this offseason was cornerback Bryce Hall. When he kept his hands off receivers, he was a talented defender. (more…)
