BSPN Hype In Full Force On Revis

August 13th, 2013

Jimminy Christmas! In the BSPN video below, veteran NFL insider Sal Paolantonio reports on Darrelle Revis possibly playing in Week 3 of the preseason with over-the-top-urgency, as if the British were arriving in New England to thwart the revolution. Paolantonio is covering the Bucs, who are on the Foxborough practice fields with the Patriots today.

He shares the big Revis maybe that rockstar general manager Mark Dominik told him this morning. Enjoy the BSPN hype below.

The “Red Hot” Tom Brady? C’mon Sal. Can a veteran QB really be “Red Hot”, in the preseason?

Sorry, but I quit listening to Sal, years ago. After I read this:

“The research that we did on Sanders, it’s pretty convincing when you read the chapter, that he was really a product of that cozy climate-controlled Silverdome,” Paolantonio said. “Nice carpet for easy stop-on-a-dime maneuvering, 72 degrees, Detroit faithful keeping the defensive line off-balance.”

This guy tried to dump on Barry Sanders. Called him an overrated HOF. Whatever you say Sal, whatever you say…

With the uncertainty with all the other injuries, it’s good to know the most hype’d one is sounding great.

Although New England’s defense has gotten better, I don’t think Brady will find it as easy on offense. There are way too many question marks. Rookie wide receivers, often injured wr’s and no more PB tight end until Gronk comes back. With the patriots it’s all about the passing game. They do have a decent backfield but NE notoriously has used the pass to set up the run. I think when Brady has to play teams with good LB’s and secondary they will struggle this year.

Isnt there something going on with the Eagles he could be reporting on? I didnt think ESPN let Sal talk about any other teams.

One thing you can learn from the last ten years of football is to never rule out the Pats. Not many sexy names on offense but as long as Brady is slingin the pigskin the Pats will be a force

    REVIS REVIS REVIS!!!!

  7. Kevin Says:

I would almost rather see Revis wait for week 2 too play. I mean he needs to get on the field before that in preseason and maybe play the first half or first quarter of the jets game and rest another week. One extra week would do him good and have us in a good position for our Saints home opener

  8. Buc1987 Says:

Yes Kevin and while we’re at it. Maybe after the 1st half of the Jets game we could sit him down and put a pacifier in his mouth or spoon feed him some Gerber peas and carrots too.

  9. Mike J Says:

Kevin, I was thinking along those lines also.No great need to hurry.

  10. Buc'n Junkie Says:

^^^^ There’s a million reasons why the Bucs will have Revis out there on opening day!

  11. Buc1987 Says:

Buc’n Junkie…this is called the wussification of America. Where in the hell does anyone get the idea that Revis is not 100% yet? I think maybe we better baby Revis, Nicks, and hey throw Dougie in too because we don’t want him to get hurt or anything if he gets too many carries. Good grief.

Revis is making 1 million dollars a game. He will be playing the whole freaking game on opening day. Nicks on the other hand may be part time. It’s not like if one of us has a preference on how to play Revis we can do anything about it. But hey run it by Schiano send him a letter, maybe he’ll take that advice, probably not.
