    let’s get ready to rumble!

  2. SensibleBuc Says:

Can’t wait to see what Barron does. He certainly has the look of a thumper stud safety.

  3. SensibleBuc Says:

I’m not going to lie, the new Nike collar is growing on me. I think it looks sharp.

  4. aj Says:

Nice to see a little swarm there. If Bennett can add an extra move, he will be stellar.

  5. aj Says:

That was one of those throws that Freeman cannot be making. Too dangerous.

  6. Rrsrq Says:

    Ahmad Black on the int…

  7. Oahubuc Says:

    Ahmad Black chomps one!

  8. ron Says:

do i hear run d really run d

  9. Rrsrq Says:

    Live look in nfl network

  10. aj Says:

Mike Williams does not lose jump balls. Seriously.

  11. dan Says:

    gerald with a knockdown. nice.

  12. aj Says:

Yeah, McCoy looks solid so far tonight.

  13. SensibleBuc Says:

I like the way Wright looks in the run game. He’s put up a few nice tackles.

  14. SteveK Says:

    How’s the RB’s doing?

  15. Oahubuc Says:

That run D we had for a second was great while it lasted.

  16. lurker Says:

chris johnson doing well, i think

    lol

  17. lurker Says:

    oops you meant tampa’s

  18. aj Says:

Offense has not looked very good at all, outside of the Hamster. I hate penalties like that on Black. It was a clean hit and well below head level. It is not his fault Locker can’t throw the ball straight.

  19. SensibleBuc Says:

    @SteveK

Doug looks great. Had a nice cut back run of 5-7 yards then he broke off a 15 yarder that was called back b/c of a Zuttah hold. Broke a couple tackles on that one. Blount continues with his stutter stepping but the line isn’t giving him much help.

  20. Mikefree7 Says:

Martin looking good. Unfortunate and unnecessary hold by zutah

  21. scott Says:

does anyone know the name of the cheerleader at the top of this page????

  22. SensibleBuc Says:

Don’t see much reading of progressions out of Freeman. Instead of forcing it to K2 he’s forcing it to whoever is in the slot or the TE position.

  23. Oahubuc Says:

    The run D is back!

  24. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Martin looks so explosive out there. I don’t see how Blount is going to beat him out for the starter spot.

  25. SensibleBuc Says:

Doug Freaking Martin: Vision and a nose for the first down marker. Love this kid.

  26. SensibleBuc Says:

LMAO Zuttah. Do some pushups man.

  27. lurker Says:

ouch free, he’s regressing with coaching?

    great d-play!

  28. 1976buc Says:

Freeman still looking one dimensional and Martin is missing block. Not impressed tonight but who knows. Consider this a teachable moment.

  29. aj Says:

You thought the Bucs made the Fins look bad? Carolina is absolutely pasting them right now.

The Bucs o-line has been atrocious. Good thing for the Bucs defense, Jake Locker does not look like a pro QB.

  30. lurker Says:

well, i didn;t think the corner would get turned in year one anyways. just like with dungy.

  31. Rrsrq Says:

O-line regressing already and so much for the Dan O. Experiment..

  32. Thomas2.2 Says:

How is that run-stuffing Gerald looking?

  33. BROCKTACULAR Says:

    OH-NO ORLOVSKY

  34. the_buc_realist Says:

    @lucker

don’t say that, don’t be a hater, you must be the cheerleader!

  35. BROCKTACULAR Says:

    DISMAL DEFENSE

  36. Rick Says:

i thought orlovsky was looking good in camp. Uh oh

  37. Rrsrq Says:

I think Schiano will be doing some yelling this week…

  38. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @Thomas,

He actually looked pretty freaking good, according to my eyes, as well as the eyes of John Lynch. Idiot!

  39. SensibleBuc Says:

    @Thomas

He looked good when he was in there. Good penetration. Seems to be coming under control a little better this year. They stuffed CJ2K in the backfield a bunch before the 2nd d-line came in and started getting gashed.

  40. Thomas2.2 Says:

Our D Line is allowing running lanes the size of Texas

  41. SensibleBuc Says:

It’s kinda hard to eval Danny O and Blount trying to do anything behind this 2nd team line. They’ve been a sieve.

  42. ryan Says:

looks like 2011 all over again

  43. SensibleBuc Says:

    …and Blount’s hurt. Wonderful.

  44. Rrsrq Says:

Not good, Blount goes down with hit to the knee, walking very gingerly

  45. Rick Says:

    oh noooooooooooo

  46. BROCKTACULAR Says:

    Oh no Blounts hurt

  47. Thomas2.2 Says:

Blount with 6 carries and 5 yards?

  48. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Seriously Thomas, why don’t you just STFU right now.

  49. Rick Says:

lets just end the game now this is about to get ugly

  50. SensibleBuc Says:

Our 2nd team O-line is atrocious.

  51. Rrsrq Says:

Did Dan O. just fall down from touch football

  52. Rick Says:

blow the whistle, blow the whistle (says orlovsky)

  53. SensibleBuc Says:

    @ Rrsrq

I would to man. He’s barely getting to his 5th step before being pressured. Cut everybody lol

  54. Thomas2.2 Says:

If Blount’s hurt Dom’s an idiot for missing out on Demps.

  55. Rick Says:

any estimates on attendance at the game?

  56. 1976buc Says:

Someone mention Blount and there he is. Doubting Thomas. Like a teenager doesn’t know when to shut up. What a piece of work.

  57. SensibleBuc Says:

    *too

  58. Thomas2.2 Says:

Is he hurt? Stats show now 8 carries 11 yards.

  59. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“If Blount’s hurt Dom’s an idiot for missing out on Demps.”

    ——–

Do you seriously have any idea how stupid that statement is?

  60. Thomas2.2 Says:

Calm down ladies it’s preseason. They weren’t champs last week and they are not chimps this week.

  61. Thomas2.2 Says:

    Chumps

  62. lurker Says:

    realist, wtf u talking about?
thank god i don’t know you in real life…

thomas, are yo grading already? lol
don’t you have a spouse to nag?

  63. lurker Says:

thomas, how do you think that dom could force a player to come here?

again, please be quiet because you are making yourself look foolish again!

  64. raphael Says:

hopefully its just a sprain on Blount…

  65. raphael Says:

hope its not ligaments like it looked like

  66. JSmalls Says:

Did someone say the run D is back? Back to late fall 2011!

  67. Thomas2.2 Says:

Lurker, yes I do – by not being out bid. Demps is a Florida boy, $ would have sealed the deal

  68. Miguel Grande Says:

    What’s the score?

  69. Thomas2.2 Says:

Lurker, you are foolish if you think Demps would go play in New England over home and take a pay cut. Come on man!

  70. Thomas2.2 Says:

The score is Blount 1.4 yards per carry, Martin 4.2 yards per carry

  71. raphael Says:

Its all Demps nothing to do with Dom. Its the same money in a pool.$75,000….Your annoying 2.2 whatever

  72. raphael Says:

and demps will see more action in the short passing game in NE..its a no brainer .. just like ..oh nevermind !

  73. Thomas2.2 Says:

They weren’t limited to pool $.

  74. raphael Says:

    20-7 i think

  75. JSmalls Says:

A lot to a little, that’s the score! Same as last year! Unexplosive on both sides of the ball!

  76. Northend Says:

Cant watch, how are the LBs looking???

  77. Hawaiian Buc Says:

So I take it you know Demps Thomas? How do you know what he wants? Has there never been a “Florida Boy” who has wanted to play elsewhere? You make as if Demps is an All-Pro. Doubt you’ve ever seen him play.

And I don’t know if you know, but Blount looks very seriously hurt. So if you were smart you would just shut up already. I truly wish I was in a bar with you right now.

  78. 1976buc Says:

Thomas the score is if Blount is out the Bucs are screwed. We have a rookie backing up a rookie. Are you sure you are a Buc Fan?

  79. Thomas2.2 Says:

Dom should have just handed ne a 2nd round pick, since he gets zero value out of them. Where’s Arrelious? Lol

  80. Derek Says:

bucs gettin pushed around just like last year. first team, second, whatever its still disgraceful. its sad any nfl players miss and tackle this badly

  81. Northend Says:

    Any sacks?

  82. JSmalls Says:

Graham’s available. He was our most explosive offensive player the game and 1/2 he started last year. Championship!

  83. Derek Says:

anyone else feel like youve been through a full game? and its only halftime ugh…

  84. Thomas2.2 Says:

I don’t know if Blount’s hurt or not – I hope he isn’t of course. I am following the game on radio and game cast so relax.

I saw demps play a ton buddy.

  85. JonBuc Says:

Paralegal Tommy 2.deux piling on a guy that most likely has a season-ending injury? Sounds about right….

  86. Thomas2.2 Says:

North end? Nope, of course not and we are down 13 – but somehow Gerald dominated again! Lmao

  87. Thomas2.2 Says:

Is it seriously season ending or are you ladies just being dramatic? I have heard nothing of the sort.

  88. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    Thomas,
You think it’s funny that Benn is hurt? You think it’s funny that Blount is hurt?

  89. Oahubuc Says:

We are starting off youngry, from what I can tell.

  90. Hawaiian Buc Says:

We actually do have a sack dip sh!t. Dekoda Watson. GMC got a hit on the QB. Pressure on Locker also caused an INT.

Blount got hit directly on the knees by a LB coming in at full speed. Knee bent pretty awkwardly. So if you don’t know what you are talking about, STFU.

  91. cc Says:

Blount may be out for season.

  92. cc Says:

Doug Martin’s Fantasy stock just went up with his performance tonight coupled with Blount injury.

  93. Thomas2.2 Says:

I think it’s funny that rock’s draft picks suck.if Blount is truly seriously hurt I feel terrible for him but I don’t know yet if he is – do you?

  94. JonBuc Says:

Why can’t Tommy 2.Deux be out for the season?

  95. Thomas2.2 Says:

I missed the Watson sack, but love it. I want him beating out Jane.

  96. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“I think it’s funny that rock’s draft picks suck”

    ——

Then you are not a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Case closed

  97. lurker Says:

thomas, there are people saying new england will go 16-0. you do not think the bucs will do well win-wise, but demps should choose tampa bay because he played at uf? but he went to new england because dom didn’t pay enough?

    ummm, ok.

  98. Thomas2.2 Says:

    That is funny JonBuc.

  99. BucFan20 Says:

Thomass you are as stupid as we thought. Dom was not out bid. Demps decided to go where he had the best chance to win a SB NOW!!

  100. raphael Says:

guys please don’t react to a PUNK like 2.2 ….he is just a kid that doesn’t know anything …

  101. Thomas2.2 Says:

Um Hawaiian: you can love the team and not the GM buddy.

  102. BucsOrDie!!! Says:

Lol our 2nd team is getting pistol whipped by their 1st team and people on the website act like the sky is falling. Calm down it’s Preseason and i do mean Pre- season

  103. the_buc_realist Says:

our linebackers will equal or more sacks then the d-line this season

  104. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    Thomas,

Let me teach you a little life lesson: If you don’t know what’s going on, keep you f-ing mouth shut. It looked like a very bad injury, like a very typical ACL tear. The last thing we want to hear is you putting f-ing “lol’s” and seeing you write negativity about him. That’s a great way to get an arse whipping if you weren’t alone in your mom’s basement.

Blount is starting to show signs that it may not be and ACL, but I can guarantee you he will be out for a while.

  105. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    Um Thomas,

    That’s not what you said.

  106. lurker Says:

let’s not feed the trolls, please.

  107. raphael Says:

don’t feed the little punk troll…its what she wants

  108. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Why would it be funny to see players not work out for the Bucs? I miss your logic. I don’t care if you are our GM, I would hope every one of your players become All Pro’s.

  109. Derek Says:

if blount walked off on his own and is on the sideline now and hes walking around (with a limp though) hes not that badly injured. not saying he might not miss a couple weeks but im sure its not season ending

  110. Thomas2.2 Says:

Exactly Derek – these emotional fanatics freak out over everything – like preseason games.

  111. JonBuc Says:

GM Mark Dominik may have missed out on Demps but has announced the signing of paralegal/janitor Tommy 2.Deux to a lucrative deal. ” Tommy brings a lot of football knowledge to the table ” said Dominik. ” Playing in the high school band gave him an up close view of the game.”

  112. Derek Says:

watching this bucs so called defense must give john lynch nightmares

  113. Thomas2.2 Says:

It’s not funny that they dont work out – it’s funny that some people think our GM is an asset when his record clearly establishes that he is a liability.very few have a worse record in the draft and FA

  114. the_buc_realist Says:

wait till we see all the turn over on the roster until next year, Schiano will gut this team of all the Dominik’s bust, i mean draft picks

  115. Thomas2.2 Says:

Don’t make fun of paralegals JonBuc they are very valuable buddy, as are janitors.I was never in the band but I like your jokes. Unlike hawaiian who needs to relax and understand that this is the preseason

  116. Bobby Says:

Had to check in to read the posts. My gosh Thomas…you are one pathetic human being. I really don’t know why you would ever even think any real Buc fan would consider you anything but a pestilence on this or any other site. Sad….

  117. Thomas2.2 Says:

Right on Buc realist! Hey but Joe will miss Dom jogging down MLK in his black leotard.

  118. Derek Says:

7-0 bucs now 23-7 titans. sure brings back memories…

  119. Mattindaytonathisweek Says:

WTF!! Is blount really hurt or what? This sucks, these FN idiots over here wont show the game cause Tbow is playing or something. Wencan’t afford to loose blount!!! DAMMIT!!!

  120. Derek Says:

preseason or not im sick of the losing

  121. Thomas2.2 Says:

Bobby: what are you a nurse? Pestilence? It’s great having female Bucs fans!

  122. JSmalls Says:

What had Dom brought to the table.?.? Other than played out polo shirts.

  123. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Anyone who puts any meaning whatsoever on a preseason game, other than evaluating players’ individual performances in certain situations, is not very bright. Preseason NEVER, EVER correlates to the regular season. Calm down all you negative Nancy types. We’ll know what this team is about when Carolina comes to town and not before.

  124. Thomas2.2 Says:

In 3 drafts: name 2 inarguably good picks? I like Clay and Mike Will but there are arguments to be made that the jury is still out. Who else?

  125. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    Thomas,

I understand this is the preseason. I’m not panicking about the game. However, losing major players is bad for the regular season. I don’t appreciate jack wagons like you who don’t even bring your sorry arse to the stadium talking about players negatively while they are on the ground in major pain. I don’t think it’s funny when you say “Where’s Benn, lol”. I don’t think it’s funny when you say that you think it’s funny when a certain draft pick doesn’t work out. If I was around you right now, I’d be spending the night in jail, but it would be well worth it.

  126. JSmalls Says:

Maybe we should work on our toes ‘inside the line.’

  127. raphael Says:

why do you guys continue to bother with a punk kid troll ? really?

  128. Robbie G Says:

Here we go AGAIN!! gave up 201 rush yards so far. The offense has -12 passing yards?? What about the take shots down the field. I know it is on ly 1 game, but they look sick..

  129. Derek Says:

down goes dan for the count. let ratliff take the beatings the rest of the night

  130. Thomas2.2 Says:

First of all – I made nearly every game for 20 years. I took most of the last 2 off, but have already bought my tix for the opener. Second, I want no one to be hurt – ever. Last, this is an opinion website if it makes you want to commit a crime then you need to get a life and psych treatment.

  131. JSmalls Says:

    -Freeman not looking off WR’s
    -Bad play from center
-No explosion on either side of the ball
-Over 7 yards a carry against our D
    -No depth

Carolina will do as they please. I like Shiano, but it’s going to take a while to toughen this team up and Carl Nicks ain’t big enough to accomplish that by himself.

  132. raphael Says:

    @robbie G there have been 2nd and 3rd string in for awhile now….relax !

  133. Miguel Grande Says:

I’m not watching the game live. Sunday morning is when I can watch, it’s tough. Listening to the comments, I can’t believe I’m siding with Hawaiian Buc over Thomas.

I hope to God that LGB is ok.

It’s not necessarily a bad thing to get spanked in the preseason.

  134. Derek Says:

its one thing to lose in the preseason getting dominated in unexcuseable

  135. JSmalls Says:

I know, we didn’t game plan and they did!

  136. BucFan20 Says:

Where was all the pressure getting past the line to Freeman? All I could hear is right side. But who? This was to be a great line. Sounds like crap.

  137. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I don’t consider it a crime if it’s done to you. More like a service.

  138. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Buc fans are great, but Buc “fans” are the worst.

  139. the_buc_realist Says:

Hawaiian, why are you so upset tonight about Thomas asking where benn is? Some have been asking that since he was drafted

  140. Hawaiian Buc Says:

    @the_buc_realist,

Because he’s hurt and he put an “lol” at the end of his statement. I don’t think it’s a laughing matter. Thomas takes pleasure in the struggles of members of this team. That’s almost okay, but to laugh at injuries is inexcusable in my opinion.

  141. Joe's Mom Says:

RB’s are dime and dozen in the NFL. I know my son Joe has a man crush on LGB but my muscle hamster will do just fine. Joe your “uncle” Mike is over and we’ll be in my room “wrestling”, please don’t knock honey, your meatloaf is in the oven.

  142. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Cody Grimm is not making this team. I hate that fact, but it’s true. He has been consistently late. He isn’t even close.

  143. SensibleBuc Says:

@Derek and anybody else complaining about the score

    C’mon bro that’s a little too dramatic.

The fact of the matter is when the game was being played 1s v 1s we played them even. Freeman looked ok. He had a few opportunities to run for big gains outside the pocket but threw instead. Martin looked great running the ball. The O-line allowed some pressures most likely because they’re running vanilla blocking schemes.

The defense played on the Titans side of the ball for most of the 1st quarter and forced a pick. We looked ok…and it’s just preseason anyway.

  144. raphael Says:

    exactly ^^^^

  145. Hawaiian Buc Says:

We pulled our starters (at least the majority of them) a good 2 series before the Titans, and they took advantage. I do think this game exposes my biggest fear that depth is going to be an issue for us this year.

  146. Thomas2.2 Says:

Apparently, Hawaiian is unstable if he gets this worked up over open thread commentary during a preseason game. Most of you have the intellectual capacity to comprehend that many of my comments are TIC

  147. mark Says:

    Well,

I guess Shiano and Co. have a ton of work to do. And as far as Dom. is concerned, this is his year to be on the hot seat. So much for all the talent. You have to wonder if Polian has gone senile. Sounds like Lynch is a better judge of the true state of the D line.

  148. FLBoyInDallas Says:

    Michael Smith runs with authority.

    Michael Smith > Mossis Madu

  149. Hawaiian Buc Says:

I’m well aware you meant it TIC, but it’s in poor taste. You don’t joke about injuries.

  150. Raheem Morris Says:

    Anybody miss me yet?

  151. JSmalls Says:

My penis has more depth than the Bucs.

  152. Thomas2.2 Says:

I cant see the game, had no clue if, when or how bad he may have been hurt.

  153. Derek Says:

hide the women and children and family pets after this one

  154. BucFan20 Says:

    @FLBOY
I wish they would put him behind the first string line to see what he can really do.

  155. mark Says:

    Thank goodness it is over….

And I just purchased NFL rewind today. Well, at least I didn’t purchase the preseason games And at least if we play like this during the regular season, I can do the 30 minute replay the next day and won’t have to suffer for three hours.

  156. Thomas2.2 Says:

Don’t worry. We pulled our best and most productive offensive player Martin early.

  157. Hawaiian Buc Says:

“I cant see the game, had no clue if, when or how bad he may have been hurt.”

    ———

    Exactly my point.

  158. sandbagrudy Says:

so what happened to all that swagger and lipservice tonight talk of punching them in the mouth jamming the ball down the throat of opposing teams 30 to 7 this is going to be an ugly season that game was like a shower scene from Oz someone lost whole lot of manhood

  159. AlMcnasty Says:

People flipping on Thomas for pointing out Blount’s yards per carry after an injury need to chill. I do hope he recovers from whatever the hell happened as soon as possible but come on….. Even with Blount out you can’t feel that bad with Martin and Smith out there. We all know Blount can crank out a monster run from time to time but consistency has hardly been his strong point. His yards per carry has been greatly inflated by the occasional beast run. I couldn’t be more stoked for Martin. He looks like something special. I’m also really curious to see what Smith can do behind our first team O line.

  160. raphael Says:

it was the Titans supuerbowl win ! did you see it…

    *smh*

  161. c-span Says:

I root for freeman, but he is starting to look like captain check down. I wonder why he isn’t looking down field. I hope they are telling him to just throw to underneath routes

  162. JonBuc Says:

Karma will be a real bitch for the baby bitch that is Tommy 2.Deux. Laughing off Blount’s injury? Really? Karma will come back around and snap him in his little acorn. A demotion back to legal secretary is in order as well.

  163. Miguel Grande Says:

I don’t remember a shower scene in the Wizard of Oz.

  164. John McKay Says:

We’ll be back, maybe not this century but we’ll be back.

  165. Eric Says:

Never seen a team with such talent.

  166. 1976buc Says:

“Even with Blount out you can’t feel that bad with Martin and Smith out there.”

McNasty, How can you feel good with 2 rookies in there? Come on now, these guys are untested!

  167. JonBuc Says:

Reporting a groin injury for Blount? I hope it’s only that and not serious. If you see the replay of his knee being bent backward, you won’t believe he avoided serious injury. Hoping for the best…

  168. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Look guys, Michael Smith is not the answer at RB. I’ve seen the guy play in person, and he wasn’t that impressive. He didn’t even start at Utah State. I’m not saying he can’t contribute, but he is not Darren Sproles. He can certainly contribute in the return game, and maybe occasionally in the running game, but in no way is he a real NFL running back (on a regular basis). He’s not even a lock to make the team. I’d love to eat my words, but I just don’t see it happening. If we lose Blount, we have to look elsewhere for another RB.

  169. lurker Says:

wow, it might have actually benefitted blount to lose the weight he did. he probably added flexibilty.
