New Depth Chart Looks Familiar

August 13th, 2012

The leader of the New Schiano Order shrugged off the first depth chart of the season last week as some sort of “league-mandated” detail that nobody should read much into.

Then Greg Schiano proceeded to say what’s worth noting is how subsequent depth charts change.

Well, the new official “unofficial” Bucs depth chart was released this evening and nothing has changed that isn’t related to transactions, per an in depth JoeBucsFan.com staff analysis. For example, injured Da’Quan Bowers moved up a notch with the release of Jayme Mitchell.

So either Greg Schiano still sees LeGarrette Blount as the No. 1 running back and fumble-prone Preston Parker as the top punt and kickoff returner, per the depth charts, or Schiano isn’t ready to invest more of his precious daily 1440 minutes into meaningless paperwork.

    Yes he is…

Please don’t let P.P. return anymore.

  3. Oahubuc Says:

Please, please tell me he doesn’t think Myron Lewis is a starting, or even a serviceable corner.

  4. JT Says:

These are worthless until the depth chart only consists of 53 players.

  5. GABA Says:

    Jt got it right.

  6. RustyRhino Says:

Paperwork is only done after the 1440 min.

  7. Jrock Says:

Wait, JBF staff? Are you making the wife crunch numbers or something now Joe? bwaaha

  8. Jwayne Says:

would like to see more of michael smith on returns.

  9. Big Picture Guy Says:

I think Blount simply is just the starter until he is ineffective in a game. It really is his job to lose. Doug Martin has to earn it, as much as Blount has to lose it. Till he does, Muscle Hampster stays at number 2.

  10. Fired Greg Olson! Says:

I think Stroughter at PR and Smith at KR (being a rookie, I feel more comfortable with him at kick return.)

In 23 PR attempts, Parker has zero touchdowns and averaged 9.1 yards/return.

Stroughter has zero TDs and averaged 9.2

    But here’s the kicker:
Stroughter has 3 career fumbles in three seasons.
Parker has 8 fumbles in two.

For the last time, there is no ‘P’ in hamster!!

  12. Bucfan1532 Says:

    @ lion
I concur with your aggravation of the muscle hamster spelling.
A hampster is a storage device utilized in many homes as a device to store clothes. Since some of you probably never change your drawers so a hampered is probably unnecessary.
A hamster is a small furry creature that your children like to torment regularly.

  13. bucyea Says:

My GOD…that would be a hamper, NOT a hampster. WOW

  14. OAR Says:

I’ve got a hamper for my hamster and I think I’ll call it a hampster!

  15. Bobby Says:

    @Bucyea….LOL!

I will never for the life of me understand why people waste there time here trying to correct other peoples typos. This is a blog about the Bucs not an education forum. If you understand what they are saying, do you really have to try to put them down just to make yourself feel better?

Anyways about the article, I agree with whoever said the depth chart is pointless until the 53 man roster is established. Parker will make this team as a receiver without a doubt.

Because for the intelligent, such mistakes drive us crazy. It’s psychological.

    On Topic…

…I believe Boulnt is starting because the #2 has more playing time in these games…hence Martin will get more playing time.

  18. McBuc Says:

LOL, Pete, you should have double checked for typos after such a post…

  19. SilenceTheCritics Says:

I think it only bothers the weak minded to constantly have to correct other adults.
