The Law Comes Down On Gerald McCoy

January 30th, 2011

Already in San Diego training/rehabbing his torn bicep like a madman and loving it, per his Twitter acccount, Gerald McCoy fell a little less in love with his left coast experience on Friday.

McCoy wrote that he got punished by local cops for talking on his cell phone and driving.

Apparently driving and talking on the phone is illegal in Cali bc I just got a ticket for it!! Not even a warning. I have a Florida license.

Joe knows the dangers of chatting on the phone and/or texting and driving, but Joe will never understand how these states crack down on that stuff yet it’s perfectly legal to have two hands on a hamburger or a mitt in a bag fishing for a french fry.

Big Fast Food has quite a stranglehold on the government.

Man that title scared me for a second Joe!

there is no such thing as a warning in CA.

Everyone thinks it’s about safety but in reality it’s a money making endevour. More citations equal higher revenue. Higher revenue means lower deficits.

Damn tofu munching California sissies, leave our DT alone!!! Lol. Cool that he’s hard at it already! Like to see an article on whos tearing it up at one buc already, or working out with their private trainers. Just to see who is “reaching for greatness! Think it would really surprise everybody, in a good way!

  6. Scott Says:

Atrain nailed it. There have been numerous studies showing that there is no increased danger from using a cell phone and driving than there is from changing the radio station or conversing with other passengers in the car.

Money plays a big part, but there is also the California mentality. The politicians there know whats best for you and are going to damn sure make certain you do it.

  7. Hawaiian Buc Says:

Where is Thomas? Shouldn’t he be blaming Raheem for the lack of discipline?
Obviously if we had a “real” HC, this would never happen!!!

  8. RustyRhino Says:

    Wow Really????

“Higher revenue means lower deficits.” Please pass this information on to your Congressional Representative on the state and national levels. I do believe they have forgotten this simple fact…

As for McCoy way to go getting out in San Diego and working to get better, hope Price and the other DT’s are out there or @ Onebuc working with you.

In even more important news, JoeBucsFans.com reports that Arrelious Benn was cited by his homeowners association for his grass being too high.

Thanks for keeping us abreast of every meaningless little thing that happens.

Don’t forget to inform us if someone on the Bucs gets a paper cut or something like that also.

This is no big deal but you do have a point Joe. The justice system is a little hypocritical at times.

  11. Westcoastbucsfan Says:

Yeah I live in Cali. You also cant tint your windows, have an aftermarket exhaust or a gun. The laws here go above and beyond ridiculous.

  12. Capt.Tim Says:

California has become a parody. Plus I still blame them totally for Pearl harbor!! Their salad eating, tree hugging, in touch with their feminine side patheticness led the Japs into thinking we are a country of “sissies”, or as I like to call them” Thomas2.2s”.Easily beaten. I don’t blame them. On several trips to California, I’ve thought about conquering myself- but what would I do with millions of crying sissie boys??!? If Tennessee or Alabama was on the West Coast- Or Florida, don’t think we would ever have been attacked! – true story lol

  13. Capt.Tim Says:

I heard its the law in California, that you have to watch “Logo” Tv 3 hours a day, or
they put you on a tofu and seaweed diet for 6 weeks- true story!
Plus you should read their version of “the Castle Law”. If an intruder breaks in your house, you are required to Gather your family and LEAVE your home. Standing with the women and children outside, as the intruder comfortably goes thru your home- and that really is a true law. And whoever wrote that law should be choked with it!

Having now lived in Tucson Arizona for the past 3 years and having gone several times to California (San Jose, L.A., Palm Springs) from Arizona. I don’t see much not to like about California, as for the “sissy” Boys stuff I’m not sure that fits all of California. I like California nice weather for the most part. Beautiful Countryside parts of it have WAY to many people, but plenty of isolation if you choose. Totally awesome seashore along US1! Wish I was staying longer (almost) so that I could ride my 700s up that highway to Canada. But soon I am back to the other side of the country. NE Georgia Clay is calling my name.

  15. Capt.Tim Says:

California is Beautiful. Lots of beautiful girls, too!. Buuut, the polical landscape out there has become so pompous and smug, they are taking the constitutional rights from the Citizens. Plus taxing them into the poor hole. – not for me, Brother. The Good Captain likes to keep a few muskets around. Nothing but Respect and utmost admiration for the police and Military- the Best of the Best! But just in case they are a little busy during my time of need, I like to think home security starts in the home:)
