What a time to be alive!
The Buccaneers kick off the 2026 NFL season in seven short days — after the NFL gets rolling in just three days.
Months and months of waiting is coming to an end. League fantasy drafts are wrapping up. Daily fantasy arrives. Joe broke down and cried when the Patriots-Seahawks injury report came out yesterday.
NFL football is the darling of the sports world. What other sport’s minutiae captivates millions of fans year-round?
The Bucs are embarking on a critical season. Jobs are on the line at quarterback and head coach, and so is the self-respect of Bucs fans. Very few folks enjoy walking the Publix, Aldi or Neighborhood Walmart aisles wearing Bucs gear if your team can’t win the NFC South landfill, especially after a historic collapse to end last season.
There’s also a new wave of Bucs players to prove themselves. The Bucs aren’t “running it back” like they were in 2021.
Legends left One Buc Palace and free agents will play a critical role along with rookies Rueben Bain, Josiah Trotter and Keionte Scott in the starting lineup.
The wait until next Sunday at 1 p.m. will feel long. Joe is here to count the seconds with all of Bucs nation.

Forgot how angry football makes me after watching that Michigan game. Just wasn’t right at all. Screwed the kids at western Michigan. They won that game.

This is what I see in the extreme big picture.
We don’t have explosive offensive weapons, we have a cast of chain movers at RB and WR .
If healthy they can return to 2024 production.
I have already been looking for the best RB in next year’s draft

So much noise. Play the game and let’s see what the Bucs have. We gained nothing from preseason, so the Bengals will eat the Bucs alive or the Bucs will tame them. We shall see.

It’s unfortunate the Bucs are playing the Bengals week 1…
If it was after week 6-8 they would have probably had a chance.
But week 1 with a healthy Burrow, Chase, Higgins and Andrei Iosivas against our DBs?
Nah.
It’s going to rain salty pewter colored tears until we play the Browns.

Good the season starts. It was a difficult off season. I am hope the new radio announcer is worthy. Hard to replace Gene and his calls over the years. I will follow almost all the games on radio and let ya know how he is.

You’re dreaming, It was a good call and Western could have played like they did all game and kabash that Hail Mary. You’re right, Western deserved the win but gave it away!

To me this season is a flip of coin type, in that it could go good, real good, bad or real bad!! Also, It doesn’t help that Bowles is still here… That said, if both the O and the D can gel early and Bowles and Robinson can play with a game lead and make good real time game adjustments, then things could be fun!!! We’ll find out soon!!!

Marine. Bucs under Bowles havnt lost their first game of the season. Let that ptsd from lovie smith Tennessee ready wear off already lol. Now we could still loose. That offense is legit scary. Honestly it’s going to be a good test for our defense and one I look forward to.

The last time the Bucs lost their opening day game… it was on the road to open the 2020 season – the year they won their last SB.
The Bucs also lost their opening game in 2002… the year they won their first SB.
