Tristan Wirfs Training With Greats

June 30th, 2026

Other than Tristan Wirfs, no NFL player has ever been named All-Pro at right and left tackle. Wirfs is a living legend in a lot of ways, a five-time Pro Bowler marching toward the Hall of Fame, though he has a ways to go.

Wirfs could rest on his laurels and rest his body. He’s got a lot of mileage on his big frame for a 27-year-old. But Wirfs appears to be challenging himself this offseason.

There are photos, reports and video on various social media of Wirfs training with fellow O-line superstars Lane Johnson (Eagles), Dion Dawkins (Bills) and Creed Humphrey recently in Oklahoma.  Joe loves how Johnson and Dawkins have a lot more experience that Wirfs and likely could open his eyes to a couple of things.

Joe already noted how Wirfs looks like he has re-made his body this offseason, going a step leaner than past years.

Perhaps Wirfs has re-thought his 2024 interest in retiring before his body says it’s time.

He’s even more ripped than usual and so is Goedeke. The Bucs look mighty hungry to me and I think a lot of people and teams are underestimating them. That’s a good thing!

  2. Truth be Told Says:

This is what a Cornerstone of your Franchise looks like. Let’s hope he becomes more vocal and starts asserting his stature more in the locker room. This O-LINE is Top 5 if they stay healthy. Go BUCS!!

  3. Stpetematt Says:

The O-line is top 1-2 if they stay healthy. I expect them to be dominant and formidable, and our run game to be feared across the league. In 2024, the Bucs were the only team in history to have a higher than 70% completion percentage and average more than 5 YPC. I expect nothing less *this* year if they can stay healthy!

  4. Ant Says:

I aint trying to hate but he went to therapy for that position switch lmao

  5. Ed Teach Says:

Wirfs is surpassing Gruber for all time Buc’s tackle which is wild.
Could you imagine if Wirfs was on the Giants? Media and the public in general would be bowing down in worship!

  6. 3.28.Evans Says:

Love reading this. Although his head coach was able to get him to regress last season, so there’s always hope.

  7. LynchMob50 Says:

We’ll need him to be healthy so we can run the ball more.

That way Baker won’t have as many chances to throw the game away in the fourth quarter.

Look at me being all Polly Positive!

Perhaps the Pom Pom squad will join me in some lemming speak!

  8. Steve V Says:

This team has a chip! Can’t wait till the season! (P.S….No wynch your still a tallywhacker!)

  9. PSL Bob Says:

They need to put him in as a 3rd TE every once in a while. I’d love to see him score another TD.

  10. Steve V Says:

Bowles should’ve inserted Mike Evans at tackle he is my hero!

  11. 3.28.Evans Says:

Mike Evans should still be a Buccaneer. He knows.

  12. Bucnbeers Says:

As veterans get older, the realize the importance of taking care of their bodies. Now, he has to set the example for the little man.

And that’s why a turd smells so ya know where it’s at…..

  16. JA Says:

Good for Wirfs. He’s letting his actions and commitment to winning do the talking, and he’s not asking for a big contract extension after a 2-7 finish.
I wish we had more like him.
