A defensive captain in the middle of the field who can get other players where they are supposed to be and do what they are supposed to do. I chose linebacker. I’m down for trading the 5th, 6th, and 7th for a extra 3rd or 4th securing 5 picks in the first 4 rounds where the most talent is. Then hitting UDFA hard for holes and roles. Team needs talented playmakers not just bodies. Rounds 1-4 is where it’s at. As much injurys this team has might just need the 5th-7th picks. Tez came in handy for example. That’s what is fun about the draft, who knows till it happens.
The defensive line has been neglected for too long.
The off-ball linebacker class is deep, which means there is plenty of talent still on day 2 and 3. Outside of an occasional freak unicorn, cornerbacks are only as good as the pass rush makes them look.
DL or edge. NO REACHING FOR POTENTIAL. NO TWEENERS. Draft someone who was productive.
The 1st and packaging the second pick should allow you to move up into the top 10 maybe the top 5.
I would not be opposed to moving backwards to draft a linebacker and pick up extra choices.
But no more reaches in the second round for defensive players that really work out to be a 4th or 5th round pick.
Hard to pass on Sadiq if there there. That speed is insane. Bigger and faster than Bijan and he matched Gibbs speed at the combine. That’s crazy, breakaway speed. He doesn’t really seem like a project either. There will be plenty of defensive talent in round 2-3 I’m sure.
If Kenyon is not there then trade down and get some more day 2/3 picks. There may be a lot of DT, CB, or LB DE options there. I hope if he does trade down he gets a good haul pick wise though.
Trade back a few spots, if possible…
Ioane
Hill Jr (unless Arod is there)
Cashius Howell
Will Lee 3
Landon Robinson (or Trigg if there) or Endries later
Jack Kelly
Caden Curry
Sawyer Robertson
Thats where Im at now, with trade downs and grabbing an extra pick in the 2nd…but dont know if Jack Kelly will last that long….
As long as we don’t draft some odd ball position in the first it will add to our team. My preference would be DT or Edge. I’d be happy with a draft that landed us Edge, DT, ILB and G.
QB is the one exception to BPA. Bottom line is you just can’t have too many great players. Also, good teams draft years ahead and not just for the current year. Exactly what Licht did with Egbuka (I admit I was surprised, but it turned out great).

Trade back a little and still grab Ioane….but dont let him get to baltimore.

Draft a corner that won’t get paid and then get bored. We already got a too many of those. “I am that man….who makes business decisions.”

Proof that Bucs fans don’t think losing Mike Evans in the WR room is as a big deal as the need at other positions is
Again, why Bruce Arians was right in his take (even though and if LVD didn’t have a great season last year)
Lost Mike and still we know WR room isn’t near a top concern as other parts of the team are. The polls are doing the real talking.
April 12th, 2026 at 7:21 am
bucs are in a position of luxury they dont have to target just one position

NO MORE SHINY OBJECTS!!!

Gotta go BPA. Which I think is going to be Sadiq or a CB. Wouldn’t mind trading back, but my big concern is Sadiq ending up in Carolina.
April 12th, 2026 at 8:00 am
Sonny Styles with the Saints and Sadiq with the Panthers for the next 10 or so years. Wouldn’t that suck.
April 12th, 2026 at 9:30 am
even saddiq on saints would be bad with the bucs linebackers
April 12th, 2026 at 9:38 am
I went with don’t target any position. I like the BPA approach but please go defense!

What I like about these polls is that they are done by IP Address, so people with dummy usernames cannot vote more than once.
I voted Edge, and I’m happy to see other feel the same.
However…Jason Licht tends to catch us by surprise…and if I consider all of the positions signed in free agency…I suspect he will draft a Cornerback.
Not a prediction, but a suspicion.
I’m not in favor of trading unless it is by only a couple spots.
April 12th, 2026 at 9:43 am
A real surprise would be Quarterback. But that would be so wrong this year.
April 12th, 2026 at 9:44 am
Trade down. Go defense in the first three picks in any order: CB, ILB, DT
April 12th, 2026 at 9:46 am
For those saying best player on the board…what if that player who falls to us IS a QB?
Or another position we don’t need?
April 12th, 2026 at 9:46 am
It doesn’t matter, Licht will be ridiculed regardless of who he takes and how good they are. 😒
April 12th, 2026 at 9:53 am
Trade back a few spots and grab either, Akheem Mesidor, R Mason Thomas or Jacob Rodriguez.

Field position. Draft field position. That’ll fix everything.
April 12th, 2026 at 11:39 am
I went with DT.
For me, it starts up front on the D-line.
That won’t solve all of our problems; we’ve certainly got other glaring defensive spots to fill.
But, seriously shoring up out D-line will take some of the pressure off of the other problem areas.
I know Jason Licht doesn’t like to do it, but if we need to trade up or down, I’d be fine with that.

If a great X WR is there you take him. Without an X no one in the WR room can do what they’re good at.
An X is a force multiplier that would make it a great room. Without an X it’s a slightly below average WR room.
Edge otherwise.
April 12th, 2026 at 2:38 pm
problem with this draft the players ranked 10 thru 20 are players at positions the bucs dont need. will be hard for bucs to get value
April 12th, 2026 at 8:21 pm
You’ll be able to get a decent X in round 4 or 5 or even later. DT dries up pretty quick for stars. LB too.
