Baker Mayfield Accuracy Throwing Into End Zone

July 6th, 2026

How accurate?

This can be interpreted as either bad or good. That’s because Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield is right in the middle.

NFL handicapper turned stathead Warren Sharp decided to document who is the most accurate quarterback when it came to money throws.

What are money throws? Throwing into the end zone. And it seems Mayfield is in the middle of the pack. Tied for No. 14.

So Mayfield is not in the top-ten (grumble).

But Mayfield is tied with the great Pat Mahomes (applause)!

Now when Sharp twittered this out, he didn’t specify what was “accurate.” Was he just using completion percentages or was he using something from NextGen Stats? So, what is accurate?

Joe knows there were some touchdowns and near touchdowns Mayfield threw to Emeka Egbuka that were absolutely on the money. Couldn’t ask for a better throw.

Something tells Joe that when Mayfield threw to Mike Evans in the end zone, Mayfield wasn’t too worried about accuracy. He was just getting rid of the ball and getting it to an area where he knew Evans had a chance of hauling the ball in.

Mayfield no longer has that luxury with any of his receivers.

Troubling: Mayfield is just below that midget Bryce Young. (Oh, no!)

A middle (😆) QB for the Number 2 Hotseat genius. Who favors the gag in crunch time of games, prime time games and important games.

    Great combination.

    Mike Evans knows.

Are you the same person as Lynvh? Isn’t it him that brings up prime time games constantly like they are more important than regular games?? All to be disingenuous to try to prove Mayfield’s is bad when he clearly isn’t? If you constantly ask your QB to drive for the game winning TD multiple times in the same game because your defense just turns around and lets the other team score in 2 plays, eventually he *will* make a mistake. Or someone will run an incorrect route. Clean up the defense (we did), and keep the O-line healthy and we will win.

    A lot.

    Lynch/Mayfield
