Report: Maxx Crosby Tells Tom Brady He Wants Out Of Las Vegas

February 10th, 2026

Las Vegas DE Maxx Crosby.

It’s been quite a while since Joe linked to a story typed by his good friend, former Washington Post and CBS NFL scribe, heavy metal headbanging Jason La Canfora.

But La Canfora has news on a subject Bucs fans have a keen interest in.

Seems last week, La Canfora was talking with an NFL general manager who La Canfora said is in the market for an edge rusher. This same GM said All-World Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby has already told Raiders part-owner and Alex Earle-chasing Tom Brady that he’s done with the Raiders. The general manager in question, per La Canfora, seems encouraged and skeptical.

“He told (Raiders owner and future Hall of Fame quarterback) Tom Brady he will never play for the Raiders again,” said one NFL general manager who would have interest in trading for Crosby.

“That’s a fact. He told them he’ll retire before he ever plays for them again. But I’m not sure they’re actually going to trade him. (Browns pass rusher) Myles Garrett said the same thing last year, and we know how that ended up.”

The ransom Mark Davis allegedly wants for Crosby is obscene. First, remember that Crosby is damaged goods. He missed a couple of games to end the season with a knee injury. Davis reportedly wants two first-round picks.

So for Joe, that is way, way too much. Crosby, 28, has a bum knee and no one knows when or if he will be 100 percent by September.

Tack on that Crosby is due some $30 million for 2026, that’s just way too rich for Joe’s blood. Perhaps if Davis ate most of Crosby’s salary, that would be different.

Shoot, Crosby likely hasn’t spoken with new Raiders coach Klint Kubiak. And who is the Raiders’ new defensive coordinator?

Seems to Joe there are several bridges to cross before Crosby is on the trade block.

    Naaaaaaaaaaas

  11. Bee Says:

No way the Bucs get this guy. It would be a waste of picks.

  12. Derrick Says:

Mike Johnson- please explain how th glazers are cheap?? They have year after year given to the ok to extend players?? Go away troll

  13. Slacker Says:

Find which edge rusher has the best coverage rating in madden and get him.

  14. Muscle Hampster Says:

I don’t see how this is relevant to our team. He’s not coming here

  15. Brandon Says:

Dude makes $30 mil a season… that is his value… if that. What low IQ fans don’t understand is that a player at the top of the wage scale for his position is worth, at most, his salary… so trading ANYTHING for him, other than another highly paid player, is too much. The NBA knows this… they ship guys out all the time for less than nothing just to escape the contracts. The irony here is that if you pay big money to free agents, the only way you stay out of salary cap hell is by drafting well… which is impossible to do when you ship off 1st rounders like they’re tokens from Chuck E Cheese.

Hilariously true and I’d even add, Crosby would cost us cap and at least 2 players in what Davis would take as trade compensation.

Agreed. The Glazers may be inept at times, but cheap? Nope. They’ve repeatedly shown a willingness to spend when it made sense to do so. Just because they’re not Jerry Jones/Dan Snyder/Mark Davis level dumbasses when it comes to spending doesn’t mean they’re cheap.

  18. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Myles Garrett…now there’s someone I wish we had.

The price on Maxx Crosby is too high…but…this year’s first rounder? That would be tempting. He has more experience than anyone we could use that pick on, he gets the sacks, and at 28 he has 4-5 years ahead of him.

The cap hit is where it hurts though.

  19. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

His injuries are a slight issue. He didn’t just miss games in 2025. He did the year before as well…but…they were minimal games missed…and he was forced to miss the 2025 games.

  20. Permanently Moderated Says:

He’ll go to a real contender for the Super Bowl. He wants to win.

  21. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Draft Cashius Howell in the first.

  22. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Permanently Moderated, the Bucs will be a contender.
