Could Mike Evans Become Top-Five In Touchdown Catches?

February 6th, 2026

How many TD catches left?

Joe sure hopes Mike Evans returns for 2026. Because he sure does look like he’s got gas left in the tank. Baker Mayfield sure thinks Evans will return.

Evans is sneaking up the charts of the best touchdown catchers in NFL history. He currently has 108 touchdown catches.

The most touchdowns Evans has had in one season was 14 and that came in 2021. Let’s say he matches that. Yeah, Joe knows, that’s unlikely to happen. But hey, let’s play along, shall we?

So let’s say Evans catches 14 touchdowns. That would give him 122 touchdown catches and put him one touchdown catch ahead of No. 6 on the all-time list, Larry Fitzgerald.

A dicey goal would be making the top-five. Joe is confident Evans would have to play two more full seasons of healthy football to have a shot. Currently, No. 5 is Marvin Harrison. He had 128 touchdown catches.

So Evans is 20 behind Harrison. If Evans could average at least 10 touchdown catches in the next two seasons, Evans could reach the top five all-time for touchdown catches in NFL history.

Would a feat that would be.

Evans is currently nine behind Davante Adams at No. 7. And Adams, like Evans, doesn’t appear to be slowing down.

Evans was right there with Adams but Mike got hurt and Adams went nuts this past season. I know he wants to atleast get close to that top 5. Come on Mike come back!
