Baker Mayfield Blasts Kevin Stefanski
January 21st, 2026Boy, this blast from Baker Mayfield sure came out of the blue!
We’re starting to reach the outskirts of the winter blues, where a lack of football and cold weather combine to test a man’s soul. (Don’t worry. There are still three games left in the 2025 NFL season and the combine is about a month away.) But holy cow, did Mayfield sure throw a brick of lit M-80s into the middle of Central Avenue last night.
Joe’s good friend D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution inadvertently caught a stray, getting under Mayfield’s skin with an innocent twitter yesterday and Mayfield turned that into a blast at new Dixie Chicks coach Kevin Stefanski, who was Mayfield’s coach for his last two seasons in Cleveland.
How did you spend your Tuesday night?
It seems there’s bad blood between Mayfield and Stefanski. And Joe doesn’t blame Mayfield for being peeved. After leading the Browns to the playoffs in 2020 and having Pat Mahomes and the Chiefs on the playoff ropes on the road, the next year, Mayfield got injured in 2021. And it’s pretty obvious Stefanski dumped him on the sidewalk like an unwanted puppy since Mayfield was traded to the Panthers by the Browns.
And Mayfield, if you haven’t guessed by now, does not forget when he’s been shafted.
Boom! And you have to figure the NFL secretly loves this. Drama sells!
Joe’s just going to throw this out there: No later than Week 3, the Bucs will play the Dixie Chicks either on Monday or Thursday Night Football.
Educated bet: Take the Bucs on the moneyline when the two teams first tangle this fall.

The Stafanski/Penix relationship is gonna be an interesting watch lol, Bucs def dodged a bullet by this hire.
January 21st, 2026 at 4:21 am
Penix has had 3 Serious knee surgeries. But Mayfield isn’t mad at Penix. Arthur Blank is, was, and always has been an idiot of an owner. And you think Stefanski was embarrassed by the Watson fiasco? You ain’t seen nothing yet.
January 21st, 2026 at 4:34 am
Seems like I remember when Baker trashed talked Brady a year or two ago that the next thing I heard out of Brady’s mouth was “oh my god! What a dime! That may be the best pass I’ve ever seen”. Then he handed Baker his MVP of the game, or dawg of the day, or whatever it was. You guys remember that pass to JMac on the flag. Right? I’m still in awe of that throw. So was Tom.
January 21st, 2026 at 4:41 am
Yikes!
January 21st, 2026 at 4:47 am
Baker has 45 turnovers since 2023 tied for league lead with Geno Smith.
Baker can’t beat the Falcons without Stefanski and it took them missing a FG to beat them at the start of the season. No one is scared of Baker, especially with how he ended the season on a 2-7 slide. He needs to focus on playing better not trash talking a coach who wasn’t even talking to him.
January 21st, 2026 at 4:50 am
Not if Cousins is playing Joe. And no you have to be drunk to pick the Bucs while Todd is here. lol
January 21st, 2026 at 4:57 am
Love it! Go Baker! Go Bucs!
January 21st, 2026 at 5:19 am
Bake is trying trying to inspire his off season work out program, add some pounds to the bench press. Unfortunately Baker has 10 more guys on offense and 11 on defense that need to feel the same way for this bulletin board quote to work
January 21st, 2026 at 5:26 am
Sub .500 career QB mad at sub .500 career coach for not sending him a “Happy Trails” text or ‘best wishes’ Hallmark card after being traded.
QB expresses anger over “garbage” treatment by former team and coach and cannot wait to face former coach twice a year after he takes job in Atlanta.
Baker—some might care about your anger in Tampa or in Atlanta, but for the large part, nobody cares.
This is where I wonder about the maturation level of a QB on the other side of 30. Baker didn’t need to say this, a child … maybe.
Baker is not some superstar with a fist full of Super Bowls. He’s a zero championship, sub .500 guy who just opened a door that didn’t need opening. The only way this can go for Baker is down. If he beats Atlanta, who cares? But if he loses he will look like a fool.
This was a time to say it didn’t end well in Cleveland, but he’s past that now and wishes Stefanski luck, except when playing the Bucs of course—or say nothing at all.Come on, Baker. You’re past 30. Time to grow up.
January 21st, 2026 at 5:28 am
Bee…oring. Whose side are you on? This is awesome. It’s what makes Baker unique and tick. We need more, not less.
January 21st, 2026 at 5:32 am
Joe, betting the Bucs to win is a good way to get your legs broken.
January 21st, 2026 at 5:36 am
Oh My God. That’s really going to hurt him when it comes time for his next contract, and bla, blah, blah. Lmao. I remember just a couple of days ago, when there were soooo many people on here, who said the exact same thing about RWhite hahahah. LoL. Hog Wash. Now, let’s see how consistent these people are when RWhite really said a BUNCH of NOTHING.
January 21st, 2026 at 5:43 am
JA says it best! Could not have been stated ANY BETTER. His best comment on here. I also, have questioned his maturity level, now in HIS 30’s. I really don’t get the whole Baker Mayfield OBSESSION. It’s very weird. Especially, for an “ADULT.” I can see being an 8-14 year old KID. But, not an actual adult.

NOT from your QB you don’t. So, I guess you’re “one of those” then, who LOVES the ‘head-bunting’ Linemen, and getting up into opponents faces every time he runs for 6-yards, & etc. ABSURD.
January 21st, 2026 at 5:48 am
Idc what other say about this cause football is prime entertainment. This IS entertaining…. Nfl could be rigged for all I care as long as it entertains me. Much like “professional” wrestling.
January 21st, 2026 at 5:52 am
It’s EMBARRASSING, folks. Take off your Baker-colored rose glasses. It’s pretty pathetic. It’s weird.
January 21st, 2026 at 5:52 am
Ok , joe; I guess you needed to throw all the QB “experts” on here a bone. They need something to gnaw on as well.
January 21st, 2026 at 5:54 am
Baker Mayfield had the Chiefs on the ropes Mahomes goes down, Chiefs are on a 3rd-string QB, and Baker still can’t close. That’s the difference between a guy and a franchise QB. Baker has taken a SB contending team and turned it into a fringe playoffs team at best. We deserve better at QB.
January 21st, 2026 at 5:55 am
And I see that all the baker sceptics have already weighed in with their insightful analysis.
January 21st, 2026 at 6:00 am
RWhite = NOT a big deal, and will have ZERO effect during his next contract negotiations. But, BAKER = WILL play a factor in HIS next contract talks. And, that’s the difference between a RB/WR/Defensive Player on a team, versus your supposed STARTING (“franchise”) QUARTERBACK. Trust-ME… NO Head Coach wants ANY of THAT from his ‘starting’ QB. Not one under 30. DEFINITELY, not one OVER 30.

@ 19kill – Was that the Colt McCoy game!? That wasn’t really that long ago, either. Seems like it tho!

January 21st, 2026 at 6:16 am
From most of the comments here, I can only conclude that, if not for Baker Mayfield, this team would be winning Superbowls. One reason? He gave the opposing teams too many seconds at the end of games for them to come back and win. Yes, 3rd and 24, and baker should have figured out how to stop them. Bring back Trask?
January 21st, 2026 at 6:29 am
Told Ya! right here in these comments. The only way that Stefanski was NOT a meh pick was that Baker will be up for every atlanta game next season.
Forget the Saints. The new bloodfest is the falcons as long as Baker is here.

On the way to work, listening to 620, it was pointed out again that Ledbetter really started this exchange. Good for Baker for calling it all out. That is our QB and we are so lucky we got him after Brady. Look at what happened to the Browns for choosing the wrong QB and dumping Baker. We are all like a family with the Bucs. You can disagree with family, friends, and some colleagues. But if anyone wrongs them, we got their backs!

OMG. Now, that I’ve actually had the chance to digest Baker’s comments… What a DUMB statement. Just REAL REAL DUMBBBBBB. God, that’s sooooo STUPID. Yeah, we really needed THAT. They’re gonna be CHOMPING AT THE BIT. You KNOW Bowles sure did not appreciate it! Hell, NO COACH would. You’d sure expect much better outta your 31-YEAR OLD Quarterback. We are witnessing ‘the end’ of the Baker Mayfield Era in Tampa.

@hugh glazerhouse
I’m on the side of logic and reason. Baker was talking to his former coach by responding to a tweet by a reporter. Think about that for a sec. Baker is basically talking to himself. Smh…goes to show you how intelligent he is. Baker is good at talking and carrying a chip on his shoulder but when it comes time to execute when the season is on the line he fails.
This team needs less talking and more execution. This is what I mean when I talk about leadership. If you wonder why the team faltered offensively down the stretch, this is why. Baker is mentally weak and this proves it. If he wasn’t he would let his play do the talking and WIN.
Again I say, NO ONE is scared of Baker.
January 21st, 2026 at 6:53 am
For all his talk, we sure did show everyone this year by sucking terribly. Talk is cheap. Put it on the field losers.
January 21st, 2026 at 6:54 am
Keyboard courage and Internet muscles don’t make a team Baker. Not sure if you saw our squad last year.

January 21st, 2026 at 7:08 am
I wish our defense had that kind of fire…….from anyone! Mayfield may not be Brady or Josh Allen, but with even an average defense he’ll win most games. Let’s see how many games the Bucs win when they don’t give up the go ahead score.
Scoring Defense:
Broncos D 3rd
Patriots D 4th
Seahawks D 1st
Rams D 10th
All four remaining teams are at the top in scoring defense! Fix this and we’ll be OK

Bucs gave up as many touchdowns as the Raiders and they are picking first in the NFL draft. Tied with the NY Giants picking 6th in the draft.
January 21st, 2026 at 7:20 am
Baker needs to worry about watching tape and the playbook. We was one of the worst rated QBs in the NFL over the last 8 weeks of the season. He should also stop the damn commercials. Look at his history in Cleveland with all the commercials….crashed and burned.
January 21st, 2026 at 7:42 am
I am from Cleveland and for all of you criticizing Baker’s comments about Stephanski, you don’t know what you are taking about. I love this!!! Baker has every reason to criticize Stephanski, because the guy stuck a knife in his back. Stephanski going to Atlanta is literally the BEST thing that could have happened to the Bucs, since The BUCS put themselves in our current position of lacking better coaching. The Stephanski stuff could have lit a fire back in Baker that could bring good results for the BUCS. Anybody criticizing Baker’s comments obviously does not understand what motivates Baker Mayfield. Now it is time for this team to bring in Nate Scheelhaase and get serious. It’s time for Bowles and Licht to focus on the positions of need. And it’s time for ownership to understand that this is the last chance we the fans give Todd and Jason to get it right.
January 21st, 2026 at 7:46 am
Stefanski is like the offensive version of Bowles,, he had a few good years being a coordinator and since he’s been at Cleveland his D has alway outplayed the O (due to Schwartz ),, he’s a so called offensive guru as Bolwes is a so called defensive guru ,, Hopefully Schwartz stays away from Atlanta

Responding to the Bee/Melvin club is a waste of time. That being said Sam Darnold was Baker’s backup in Carolina. He was a second string backup in Seattle until he was elevated due to Geno Smith’s top tier salary demand. He has thrown more INT this season than Baker but he plays for a team with a defense that can hold a lead.
January 21st, 2026 at 7:48 am
Love this. Finally something to get excited about. Sure hope we see this fire & passion from the rest of the team. Now go find an OC AND DC Glazers. Let’s see the same passion from ownership. Because if you think you can squeeze a different result out of Todd’s D next year, well that’s simply insane thinking. We need two proven coordinators OR a new HC. Make it happen!

@ bucnjim – the “winning” comment was more of a slap. Though, still true regardless if they’re actually ‘winning’ that particular season, or not. Bottomline being, you DON’T hear that type of ‘childish’ NONSENSE from ANY NFL (‘franchise’) Starting QB. And, for very good reason. Actually, for lots of reasons. Mostly, because no HC or FO worth their salt, would ever stand for it. Diva WR’s/Defensive Players, it’s a lot more expected and not as big of a deal. But, Quarterbacks… THE LEADER of YOUR FRANCHISE. Just Hail Naw. No way Jose. It’s a REAL BAD Look.

January 21st, 2026 at 8:01 am
Bee “nobody is scared of Baker”. 😂😂😂 I doubt that is what people were thinking in the first half of last season. Baker didn’t go from being the only candidate in the running for MVP to struggling in the second half of the season because he just lost his talent🙄There was alot wrong in Tampa, and Baker was the least of it, but it all caught up with the team by mid season. I am talking about the fact that we can’t tackle anyone, pressure anyone, cover anyone, or protect Baker. We only had about 30 sacks all season which is abysmal, and our secondary is bottom 3. Those are the main issues with the team and baker is not responsible for any of them. If your think so highly of Drake Maye, Matt Stafford, and Sam Darnold, then why are you on a BUCS comment forum? You are welcome to get on the Rams, Seahawks, or Patriots comment forum any time you like. Nobody on here will miss your lack of football knowledge.

@ JustVisiting – a basketball player, and a QUARTERBACK are two entirely different things. It’s not the same. Nor even CLOSE. And, MJ was extremely childish and an asshole. Ask ANYONE. Though, you can’t compare the two. It’s cool and exciting when MJ does it! It’s embarrassing when Baker does. He just looks like a total FOOL. 💯
January 21st, 2026 at 8:44 am
We know that any HC/OC who remotely knows what they’re doing will run circles around Todd Bowles and his bend AND break defense. The best the Bucs can do is hope the rival coaches show pity on Bowles, like McVay did and didn’t put 55 points on him.
The owners must be very proud of those irrelevant NFC South “titles” that Bowles was bragging about how HE won (not the team, he said “I won the division”). Maybe they can put up a banner if Bowles manages to win 7 games this year, or a participation trophy for him. 🏆
January 21st, 2026 at 8:46 am

Stop trying to revise history, the only reason they lost that game against is because of a blatant uncalled targeting/PI call on Rashard Higgins that resulted in a touchback in the end zone. Basically Baker threw a dime to Higgins who got it just before the end zone and instantly got hit by a helmet to helmet hit causing him to lose possession and fumble out of the endzone.
Anyone who blames Baker for this is 1. A colossal idiot. 2. Biased as all hell. 3. Knows nothing about football and is just looking to throw shade at Baker.
All these but Baker isn’t good in the playoffs guys are hilarious, especially considering that they are throwing shade at the guy who has the highest career playoff passer rating (105.9), even above Mahomes. You guys wouldn’t know a good qb even if he threw you a dime right in the face

Baker has played for shlt teams with new OCs his entire career. I hate to call Tampa a shlt team but anyone who saw Brady’s last game here know this was a shlt team. Extremely lost football team. Bakers first game here at Minnesota turned that around. Should have won 10 games but did anyone see what Stroud did after Baker drove us down the field for the go ahead td with under a minute to go. Of course he went 80 yards on 4 passes to beat us. So we only won 9 on our way to second round playoff loss. Good game. Baker 3 td passes, defense gave up 200 yards and 2 tds to the Lions-In the 4th quarter!! Baker turns shlt teams into contenders. Our defense gave up more touchdowns than the Raiders this year. Last defensively in the RedZone. Sucked out loud. All year long. And Bob in Valrico. It’s hard beating a team when you’re up 14 in the 4th quarter and then the other team has 2 eighty yard drives for TDs in the fourth quarter and a long drive for a field goal to beat us by a point. Mayfield threw a pick but Atlanta still had 64 yards to go. Only reason he threw a pick was because they were stomping our defense so bad that we couldn’t run the ball when running the ball was the only thing we should have been doing. Don’t even mention last years first loss to Atlanta. Mayfield smoked their a$$. Bucky fumbled, rookie center had a brain fart, and our defense was our defense. Atlanta sucks and they still did that to us. As far as the buzz that Mayfield is immature and should keep his mouth shut. One of Baker’s strengths is he doesn’t give a rat’s a$$ about what anyone else thinks about him. I said when I followed Baker over here 3 years ago that he’s one of the top 10 QBs I’ve ever seen in this league. Many of this teams fans didn’t think he was top half in the league. In the last three years he has hands down been the best QB in the league and stats bare that out. He just needs to find a team that cares as much about winning as he does. He can lead the horse to water, now it’s time to see how thirsty this horse is.

How can a quarterback like Baker Mayfield talk when he’s on his 4th team ? He’s choked the past 6 games he threw picks late in the 4th quarters in all of those games that lead us to loses . I can’t wait until he’s gone from the bucs.

Stefanski will fail in Atlanta. He’s one of the most overrated coaches in recent memory and a major part of the continued dysfunction in cLEAVEland.
January 21st, 2026 at 9:42 am
Pro football is a team game. Yes, you need a reliable QB, but you don’t need an all world one. Mahomes without a quality defense and offensive line is just another guy. The kid at Buffalo gets you to the playoffs every year and loses. The kid at Baltimore same thing. The kid at San Diego 0-2 in the playoffs Bo Nix, give me a break .he’s an average talent. Philly, a class kid with a great defense. The teams remaining evaded injury deficits. Baker is not flashy but he is tough and is a leader but you don’t win in this league with two injured guards and weak linebackers. Our starting 22 prior to the season were good enough to compete with anyone but no coach could have made it to the Super Bowl what we had playing on the field in the last half of the season.

“By the time it was over, there was a lack of trust on both sides.
Mayfield was annoyed Stefanski missed a meeting the day after the Browns were thrashed by the Patriots and thought the play-caller should attend every session. Stefanski was absent because he was meeting instead with Myles Garrett, according to a source, after Garrett lashed out to the media postgame over the coaching staff’s lack of adjustments at New England.
In one of those “careful what you wish for” moments, Stefanski never missed another meeting and privately shined a glaring spotlight on his quarterback during film sessions from that day forward.
There were plenty of errors to point out. In a league built for close finishes, Mayfield had a passer rating of 17.8 in the final four minutes of games last season when the Browns trailed by one possession or less.
For those insisting it was the shoulder injury hindering him, Mayfield’s career passer rating was 51.1 under the same parameters – 59th in the NFL. His 19 career interceptions in fourth quarters are the second-most in the league since 2018.“
Per Jason Lloyd, Browns beat writer for the athletic back in 2022
I usually don’t care about dudes being catty on the innanet, but the last part grabbed my attention because it sounds so familiar.
Anywho, Baker lashing out about Stefanski and not directly AT/TO Stefanski speaks for itself and it sounds like he need to grow up whilst continuing to move on.
Hurt people hurt people lol

WBL. You don’t know what happened in 2021 with Mayfield and Stefanski. Torn labrum and fractured shoulder in third game. Totally different animal than this years shoulder and oblique. Surgery was required. Stefanski let Mayfield play because Stefanski won 11 games and then a playoff game the year before. Only Stefanski didn’t do that- Mayfield did. And with a shoulder harness weight of over 10 pounds Baker only could get to 8 wins. Couldn’t roll out and pass and Stefanski blamed Mayfield for that. Surgery right after season and finds out he has been replaced. A whole bunch of first round picks and 250 million given away to a perverted piece of Shi. And of course Stefanski has never won another playoff game. But he did win 8 games these last 2 years. He’s the definition of a pus.y. And Baker hasn’t even begun the payback. Some of us have been waiting 5 years for this.

“He’s the definition of a pus.y. And Baker hasn’t even begun the payback. Some of us have been waiting 5 years for this.”
Well with a lot of people currently talking about their time in Cleveland together after Mayfields outburst. It sort of sounds like they brought the b*tch out in one another to be honest. Mayfield probably felt he was more important than Myles Garrett, Stefanski probably didn’t like Baker feeling that way, and
I don’t care about Stefanski not a Browns fan nor have I ever been, BUT our “franchise” QB posted this after also posting “focused on the work, not the noise” then proceeded to make noise himself.
I got no dawg in this tiff between grown men, but as just an observer it’s kinda childish. You’ve made money, had some success since leaving Ohio, but still mad? What next, is he gonna lash out at PJ Walker for taking his job in Carolina?

Every time a replier on this site uses the words “Baker” or “Mayfield” he or she should pay a $1.000 royalty to the quarterback for using his name and exploiting his personality. Those who tarnish his name by abusing it should, in addition, pay a punitive $10,000. Many of these people would have nothing to write about and attain their dubious literary fame without Mr. Mayfield’s name, which they attach to fantasies of their own invention, which, of themselves, would attract little interest.

Kevin Smith you are right. Allot went down in Cleveland which is where I am from. I was a Browns fan my entire life until they intentionally attempted to ruin Bakers reputation on and off the field in an attempt to get the fans to accept Deshaun which as we know did not work. I have not watched a Brown’s game since Baker left Cleveland. Also Kevin Stephanski has had 13 starting QB’s under him and he is a complete failure as a coach. Atlanta is not better under his leadership. I love that this is lighting a fire in Baker and it will make things much more interesting this season despite the lousy coaching.

Bee, even IF that is true, that BM6 leads in turnovers, i read somewhere he has less turnovers per playoff game than anybody in the league EVER. .8 per game and that’s what matters most. When the money is on the line BM6 is money!!! Remember that’s why he has a 105.9 passer rating in the playoffs and that IS THE HIGHEST EVER.

Bee, says Baker leads the NFL in turnovers since 2023. He of course failed to tell us All-World Josh Allen follows him by 2 turnovers and All-Universe Pat Mahomes follows close behind at 5. He also failed to tell Baker leads both in TD’s by alot more than the turnovers. Typical “statistics lie and liars use statistics” type situation.

@MoBucs
That sounds like Cubans under Castro lol
Had the father of a friend of mine tell me they referred to him as “Michael Jackson” when openly critiquing him in public back in the day.
So just for you, I’ll refer to him as “Uncle Rico” so I’m not disappeared by the Bakettes or the Mayfieldites
😂

So Baker has all of 5 more turnovers than Mahomes but he also has 20 more TD’s than Mahomes in that same time frame. So that is a net gain of 15 TD’s over All-Universe Patrick Mahomes. I would take the 5 more turnovers and 20 more TD’s qb. Just sayin Bee.

Myles Garrett and Kevin Stefanski. A couple of pus.ys that had to be the story. Baker jumped on each one of their butts and they whined like the little bitc.es that they are. Garrett was the 1 pick the year before Baker was the 1 pick. Garrett went 0-16 his first year and Baker, in his first year won 7 of the 13 games he played. And he had enough of a brain that he could speak in full sentences. Got all the endorsement money. Stefanski and Garrett want to be the center of attention. Instead, they’re losers. Baker set the all time QB rookie record in TD passes-in 13 games! If he’d of played 16 or 17 games he was on pace for 5000 yards and 40 TD passes. As a rookie on a team that lost 31 of their last 32. Not a QB in the league could have done that. Just like there isn’t a QB in the league could have stepped in for Brady the way Baker has. Baker Mayfield is a QB savant. Stefanski and Garrett are jealous little girls. And I’m being kind.

baker is a clown lol
someone please tell baker that this aint TTU or OU!!!!…baker needs to grow up!!!…he did the same childish thing with Hue Jackson lol
bakers 4th quarter INTs should be motivation enough…not KS..
Baker will lead the NFL in INTs again in 2026….book it!!!
GO BUCS!!!

I have always wondered what Stefani role was in this? I think Haslam and gm wanted watson he’ll or high water and baker played completely injured that last season to try and save his job, when he had a limp left arm all season..torn rotator I believe. Think Stefanski was forced on watson no matter what during the season

Becky, my twin brother is Kevin. He was our QB through high school. My son Arthur played QB through high school. Me and Kevin played corner and absolutely abused a tight end who ended up at OU and then spent 10 years with the Atlanta Falcons. That Falcons player’s son and my son were their schools QBs 25 years later. Both all state honors. Only that player and his son were 6 foot 5. And me and my son are 5 foot 10. Can’t help but standing up for the underdogs. And the QBs.

@MelvinJunior, kind of an odd take on emotion for a guy who always has to type in caps as if he’s Trump or something. You want the whole team to be as boring as Bowles. What fun is that?
January 21st, 2026 at 2:26 pm
Hey bake fans , seems like Joe Thomas has opinion about your beloved qb….
January 21st, 2026 at 2:39 pm
Mel junior, how about you get back to the huddle and not scream in all caps. You get the irony of gigging a guy with emotion when you type in all caps half the time. We get it!

You sure won’t see mature Quarterbacks such as Sam Darnold and Mathew Stafford make insane comments like this. That is because they are GROWN MEN and are way too busy WINNING. It’s a fly on their shoulder and they just brush it off. They have moved on from getting shipped-out of NYJets and Detroit. Baker is a selfish immature child with little short man’s disease.
January 21st, 2026 at 2:49 pm
It’s amazing how much of Baker’s Family is here on this site and how much time they spend on it still fighting that battle. Including Baker himself. Lmao.

@bee
Mikebuc
If no one reads what I write, including you, then why respond to my post when I didn’t mention you? Lol…
——–
Try and keep up .I said when you mention baker. So we know you posted but since the subject is Baker we stop reading because we know with your Baker Derangement syndrome it won’t be intelligent
January 21st, 2026 at 3:34 pm
What it is
You and I are different. I’d take Mahomes SB WINS over the best playoff QBR. I’ll take playoff wins over regular season TDs. See, I’m focused on winning and championships, not stats and popularity contests. We don’t speak the same language.
MikeBuc
You said all that but you didnt say I’m a liar. Because you can’t. I point out the obvious and speak the truth. The truth can sound like unintelligent derangement to the delusional.
Yall sound worried. If yall were confident in Baker yall wouldn’t have to fight this hard every post. Lol…yall see what everyone sees and thats Baker’s time is running out. He going into his 4th season on his 4th team and there’s still questions about his play. If hes as good as yall say he is, we’ll see it this fall.

“Myles Garrett and Kevin Stefanski. A couple of pus.ys that had to be the story. Baker jumped on each one of their butts and they whined like the little bitc.es that they are. Garrett was the 1 pick the year before Baker was the 1 pick.”
Here’s what it likely boiled down to, both players were upset after a loss. Garrett expressed his frustration publicly and the other was frustrated the coach had to go have a heart to heart with the Garrett which cause Stefanski to miss an offensive meeting. Baker vocalized his frustration, so Stefanski went on to troll Baker in meeting with and about his own on-field play.
Funny thing about your response, is that you got really close to making it sound like Mayfield, was as important to Cleveland as Garrett was than or has been since.
My good man, I’m here to let you know, don’t do that. Also, since Bakers’ cry for emotional healing, a TON of Browns fans are coming out the woodwork about that time period and the sentiment is far from unanimous.
Also obvious some things/people don’t change
January 21st, 2026 at 4:59 pm
Sorry Kenton Smith I got my names mixed up when I was trying to talk to you about Kevin Stephanski lol So sorry about that. I certainly meant no disrespect. You story is very interesting and impressive, and like you I always fight for the underdog. I also agree with your comments. You have an immense knowledge of football and I really respect your opinions. Go BUCS!
January 21st, 2026 at 8:06 pm
WBL. Did I make it sound like Baker was as important to Cleveland as Garrett was? I’m not that stupid WBL just because you are. Baker was outrageously more important to Cleveland than Garrett. Didn’t you read the last post I explained the difference in terms of their impact when they got to the Browns? 64 head coaches and GMs would tell you it starts with the QB. And it does. They would all tell you they would take a defense that gives up less than 14 points a game and an offense that runs for 200 yards a game and they would make do with an average smart QB. But out of 32 teams none give up less than 14 points and run for 200 yards per game. The teams all got sneaky and started running high powered offenses and the game has changed. Garrett is probably a first ballot hall of famer and Mayfield probably won’t ever even make an All Pro squad. But Garrett will never be as important to his team as the QB is.
January 21st, 2026 at 8:53 pm
Long time listener and reader first time commenter, yeah the overhype on baker is tiring he’s been in the league 8 years and has not lived up to the number one overall pick status. He’s overrated and overhyped and the infatuation with him is weird. Maybe licht can learn how to evaluate and scout college QBs so we can finally draft our franchise qb.

People hiding behind fake names and keyboards calling other grown men 🐈 is hilarious. I’d be willing to bet 90 percent of the people saying that absolutely would not say it to another man’s face
