Pat McAfee unloads on sports journalists. Joe can tell you a lot of the things he said are true. Also, some of his gripes sound a lot like what Howard Stern had to say about radio suits some 50 years ago. [Awful Announcing]

I really liked Caleb coming out of the draft. He had some setbacks at first which is normal for some rookies changing over from college to the NFL. Agreeing with Kay, he has shown himself with a “signature move” now.
Schein is right on about Josh. He definitely has some injuries, especially against the Jags, and he kept on truckin!
I applaud Lynn Jones for her genuineness. A breath of fresh air in the middle of madness. Coen deserved the praise that she gave him. No, my keyboard hasn’t been taken over. Yes, I was one that didn’t like the way he left. However, he and his team did turn things around from their last season, showing growth.

If you think Tony Romo is bad, Chris Collinsworth is worse.

I miss Johnny Cash.

TampaTown – In agreement. Collinsworth makes me turn down the sound.
mg – I have been going back and listening to Johnny Cash so much lately. My dad loved him. Listening to one of his last songs “Hurt” still sends shills. No one like Johnny.

Man, AMEN to all of that. McAfee is spot on. Locally, John Romano is exactly the kind of person he’s talking about. They’re the first ones to rush in to cover certain unsocial issues with their predictable slant. They’ll take every opportunity to color every big news story in sports with some rehashed leftist slant they picked up on from some nobody on X and they practically trip over themselves to do it. It’s the biggest reason why I never subscribed to The Athletic when they were a failing sports news operation. They’re filled with those kind of people. I’m sure some of them have tried to cram commentary on the Good shooting in some of their articles while hating themselves they couldn’t cut it as a political journalist.
Kudos to Lynn Jones who’s clearly a good person and a fan of the team. I have no doubt she does a good job covering the team and the Jaguars have been an amazing story this year. Her professionalism should not be judged based off of a 30 second clip. Thirty freaking seconds!

heyjude – In rural America where I grew up I had a choice between two types of music Country Western or Polka. Johnny was a savior.

McAfee had no problem with spreading salacious false rumors about a teenaged girl. Not sure what that had to do with sports.
His moaning rings hollow.

Romo’s first few games were pretty good but man he just has a man crush on some guys that is ridiculous. His spewing on and on about how Mahomes could mount a comeback in the SB against us till the 2 minute warning was just loathsome. And the guy that covers some college games, mostly Ohio State on major network sounds like he is trying to be Sephen A is just unbearable. Everything is drama and over the top, hard to watch sports with the sound on anymore.
