“Follow Suit” On YaYa Diaby

December 29th, 2025

The Bucs have developed an edge rusher.

He may not be special by NFL standards, but YaYa Diaby is certainly a promising 26-year-old with 7 sacks this season and 12 tackles for loss. The latter stat ranks tied for 14th-best in the National Football League.

Diaby is a half-sack from tying his rookie-season total, but more important, he’s playing better ball late in this season. That was the message from Todd Bowles on the Buccaneers Radio Network following yesterday’s groin-stomp by the Dolphins in Miami.

“He’s really turned on another gear and has been playing well the past couple of weeks,” Bowles said of Diaby. “He doesn’t have the sacks to show for it but you can watch the tape and see how well that guy’s been playing. We just got to follow suit.”

With one game remaining this season, there are only 12 double-digit sack artists in the NFL. Perhaps that puts Diaby’s season total of 7 in perspective. He had 7.5 as a rookie in 2023.

The Bucs are sure to continue their annual offseason pursuit of a stud edge rusher, but Diaby is settling in nicely as a solid No. 2.

Joe hopes to see Diaby finish strong Saturday against the shaky Panthers.

  1. Todd Bowles Says:

We chase studs yearly, but YaYa’s the homegrown heat—rest of y’all, watch the tape and match that fire. Haters calling for my head? Tell ‘em Diaby’s got more pop than their hot takes. Playoffs or bust, baby.

  2. Truth be Told Says:

The Pass Defense is Putrid. We need alot more than this guy. We need a whole new scheme aka DC. This has been a hard year to watch defensively. It’s Time for Todd to Go. Lincoln Riley with a Real DC is my .02cents.

  3. Aqualung Says:

Everyone regresses and sucks under Belowszo. Don’t play Kancey so he can suck one more time.

  4. Todd Bowles Says:

Lincoln who? Save the fantasy football for offseason; I’ll take my three straight South titles and extension over your 2 cents. Truth be told, real ones watch us win Saturday—your move, chief.

  5. Sal Volatile Says:

Credit to JPP not the coaching staff.

  6. Lakeland Says:

Yeah 7 sacks a season is ” Great” for this team

Now Licht will reward him with a 5 year $160 Million deal

  7. Mac Says:

Told everyone they don’t want Tampa in the playoffs. NfL making sure if Tanpa gets lucky somehow and wins that Atlanta will aid Carolina to get in. No wants to see Bowles get embarrassed by the Rams or niners in the 1st round matchup.

  8. BucsFan81 Says:

Watch the Falcons beat the Rams. It may come down to the Bucs winning Saturday and the Saints beating Atlanta on Sunday. Pretty sure the Saints would lay down to mess up the Bucs chances if that was the scenario.

  9. Daryl Green Says:

Don’t worry Atlanta playing their butts of with nothing on the line.
Why in world we can’t play with the intensity these other teams play with nothing on the line crazy.

  10. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

He made 2 plays the whole game.

  11. Bucs Reality Check Says:

    GO FALCONS!

Only chance to get a new coach is if Bucs miss the playoffs.

  12. Simeon4HOF Says:

Never thought Id be watching this game like a Bucs life depends on it.
They go up 14-0 might as well start calling HC candidates

  13. Tony Says:

If they just stop dropping them into coverage he could very easily have like twice as many sacks as he has now.

  14. Buc in VA````` Says:

Falcons are showing how to give a crap.

  15. Simeon4HOF Says:

Maybe our team shoulda thought more about what an ATL win does 2nite, maybe that woulda helped lol, before that bs yesterday.
If ATL plays like this to save Morris again next week they’ll best the Saints
Dungy was our best coach, he and Arians ..
If the Glazers fired Tony, they will fire Todd over this 1-7 stretch etc

  16. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Bates pick 6

  17. Simeon4HOF Says:

Bowles is gone. These Bucs wont psychologically be able to even beat Car after this ish 2nite

  18. TheBigSombreo Says:

Falcons game thread… and they are going to win…

  19. BPBucsfan Says:

Falcons 14-0. Pick 6 on Stafford.

  20. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Start the Search. Please

  21. SBucs13 Says:

The Falcons are playing with passion, heart and desire. None appeared o. Most Buc players this year. The falcons are playing to save their head coach, the Bucs didn’t and won’t next Saturday. Wouldn’t it be perfect for the falcons to spoil the NFLs big plans for next Saturday and make the Bucs game meaningless. The Bucs won’t show up anyway and lose big.

  22. ElioT Says:

Jessie Bates is way, more better than Winfield Jr.

Atlanta would beat the Bucs 4-5 times.

    Raheem > Bowels

  23. Pewter Power Says:

When you’re fired take that joke of a“elite” preseason pass rusher markees watts with you and all the other mediocre edge rushers this team refused to try and upgrade

  24. Mac Says:

Told ya Falcons were winning. National Fixed League doesn’t want boring Bowles in the playoffs. Networks will get no viewership for a blowout game. They have to have Atlanta win out. Saints will 100% lose next week. Better draft pick and Atlanta is playing for their coach unlike our “beloved” Bucs have the past 2+ months.

  25. Simeon4HOF Says:

Hopefully Stafford has an MVP night next 2 hours

  26. Oscar Says:

Stafford getting pressured up the middle. Was that happy feet I saw preceding that pick six? I think it was. Also no one open. That’s what can happen. For the Bucs it is a chronic problem this year.

  27. SBucs13 Says:

Can’t think of a worse head coach than Todd Bowles. Lazy, full of excuses and plays not to lose. I’m willing to give all the candidates to replace Todd the benefit to rebuild this broken team. Most of the players on this roster wouldn’t start for any other team. A testament to players Todd’s system demands Jason deliver and those Jason has delivered in his own. A little of lazy, passionless players.

  28. Simeon4HOF Says:

Otw to being atleast 14-0 at halftime. Lovely

  29. Outrigger Says:

Kirk Cousins going to stick it to the Bucs again

  30. It's Corn Says:

Think how many more he’d have if he didn’t have to cover receivers!

  31. Tye Says:

    Falcons aint playing tonight!!!
They will beat the Saints next week so this game likely decides it….

  32. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

    LOL.

Atl is going to win out now, so it won’t even matter if we beat the Panthers next week.

That’s honestly exactly what this Bucs team deserves at this point.

  33. Simeon4HOF Says:

ATL defense playing 3 times better than Bucs

  34. Buc in VA Says:

Look at those Falcons go. Actually trying and making effort and showing energy and excitement.

  35. BPBucsfan Says:

Bijan Robinson 93 yd house call. 21-0 Falcons.

  36. Simeon4HOF Says:

    21-0

    Fire Bowles Sat night

  37. MadMax Says:

Wow, even dirty birds deserve more to be in the playoffs than we do. 21 -0 against the friggin rams ROFLMAO…what a sad state of affairs we are now…..

HOPE THEY WIN SO CAN PLAN EVEN MORE TO BLOW THE WHOLE DAM THING UP!!!!

  38. ElioT Says:

Wow – ATL opening a straight-up CAN against LAR.

Such a difference watching this game vs. anything the Bucs have dribbled out over the last eight weeks… or really all season!

Bucs are the worst team in the South now. Great job Jason and Todd!!

    #BUCSLIFE

  39. GaBucinRh Says:

This is exactly what this team deserves…. FALCONS!

  40. Jugheadfla2 Says:

Hahahahahahahhahahaha……….season’s over Joe, nothing left to write about. No way in hell saints beat ATL next week

  41. Oscar Says:

I guess the Falcons defense isn’t too bad. They can make some qb’s look bad at times, even the mvp.

  42. ElioT Says:

Crazy part is the Bucs look like they’re having fun losing…

Falcons are having fun whopping a**

  43. BucsFan81 Says:

I think we can just Fire Bowles tonight. Looks like Atlanta saved Rah job.

  44. Chuckys Bucs Says:

Looks like ATL may just end the season for us regardless

  45. Jugheadfla2 Says:

Stafford just throwing up hail Mary’s left and right…..wtf?

  46. Colonel Angus Says:

This will be good, just in case Bucs f@ck up and win Saturday. Definitely ain’t rooting for Saints anyways. NFC South is a damn joke.

  47. Simeon4HOF Says:

Dont feel blue 2nite Mr Kubiak
We have a boiling over and on fire spot bout ready 4 ya in Tampa

  48. Oscar Says:

Horrible clock management by the Rams!

  49. stucbuc Says:

What’s even worse is that the whole division is competing, improving and beating good teams at the end of the season. While the Bucs crash and burn and show no signs of improving or growing.

  50. Simeon4HOF Says:

On a lighter note ATL is saving Morris’s job,
    so they will still suck

  51. Mac Says:

I’m glad I hammered the Falcons tonight. I knew what the NFL was going to do here. Networksdont want this sad team in a playoff game to get embarrassed by 20+ points vs a well coached team. Guarentee Tampa wins next week and Carolina still gets in because Falcons will easily beat the Saints next week. Was going to bet Carolina next week but not anymore. Tampa wins and Bowles WILL NOT be fired. Boycot 2026 by guys please!

  52. BucWild410 Says:

BTW, the Falcons are playing inspired tonight. Their sidelines are pumped, players pumped…..The Bucs have not played like this in about 2 months.

  53. Oscar Says:

If this was the Bucs up 21-0 at the half, they would probably still lose.

  54. BUCDADDY Says:

Yup. Agree with most here. If they are smoking the Rams, Falcons are not losing to the Saints. This is really what we deserve though after losing to Altanta, Miami, and New Orleans. Seems fitting, especially since we can’t beat teams we’re supposed to. The football Gods don’t lie. We are that bad and don’t deserve to have anything handed to us. You gotta take control of your destiny, something the fake pretenders in Tampan can’t.

Plus, we were just going to.get smacked by the Rams or Niners in the first round anyways. Saves us all more heartache. I guess there’s always next year if we can start a decent rebuild year. But I’m still not banking on the playoffs for a few more years. We missed our window, and continue to get worse, while everyone is getting better.

  55. Nicholas Carlson Says:

Let’s see Kancy and Diaby meet in the backfield and the Bucs win 3, 4, or heck even 5 games in a row and make some history!

  56. Jugheadfla2 Says:

At least Rah can dial up a dang pass rush…….Bowels goes with the im sure our secondary will be fine by themselves method

  57. Simeon4HOF Says:

They play the saints in ATL

  58. HeavyE Says:

Wow! Damn, wish we had Cousins at QB!!!

  59. firethecannons Says:

Rams beat the the Bucs to a pulp meanwhile Panthers and Falcons are able to perform. At this rate Bucs will be 3rd in the division. Nothing absolutely nothing to look forward to with Bowles as HC, absolutely no hope at all.

  60. Jugheadfla2 Says:

Seriously, why isn’t there a Rams Falcons game thread? It’s really the only thing to talk about right now

  61. BucsFan81 Says:

lol Cousins is beating the Bucs without even playing them. You Like That!!! We need new coaches and a new QB. Just sign cousins so he can stop beating us. If you can’t beat them join them scenario.

  62. Aqualung Says:

    Bwaaahaaaahahaaaa

Falcons win out and Belowszo finishes 3rd in the worst division in football ever .

    What a Maroon.

  63. firethecannons Says:

Bucsfan81 lol!!!!!!!! Bucs sign Cousins to stop the beatdowns

  64. Lakeland Says:

    TBH,

The Bucs don’t deserve to be in the playoffs
They had too many chances to wrap up the division
They blew it, they stinks, they suck

  65. Jugheadfla2 Says:

I would 100% take Cousins over Baker right now. Guy can toss the ball around unlike under throw, inaccurate, bad read Baker

  66. Obvious Says:

Morris is a clown. Shows you how bad our HC is.

  67. Simeon4HOF Says:

Insert stick figure meme poking Bucs logo seen 7 of the last 8 weeks “Do something”
to Joe’s say something lol. The ship is sinking fast and have no control of own destiny anymore thanks to Morris. Cannot believe falcons are eliminating us from playoffs tonight.
Was a cakewalk end of schedule we said …

  68. Simeon4HOF Says:

The Todd just cannot escape Kirk Cousins lol

  69. Lakeland Says:

I wonder what Sean McVay is telling his players in the locker room

And l wonder how they will respond in the 2nd half

  70. Lakeland Says:

Brandon Dorius has 8.5 sacks now

  71. Simeon4HOF Says:

    So Kubiak? McDaniels? Gruden? Derrick?
    Who’s it gonna be Glazers

  72. Jugheadfla2 Says:

    3rd & 28…….never forget

  73. Blows sux Says:

Its looking like the bucs will play their last game of the season on Saturday afternoon. If Atlanta goes on to win this game its over because they will beat the saints on Sunday

    Thanks bowels
    Oh and you suck!!!!

  74. Winny Testaverde Says:

The league probably wants to claw back the Bucs vs Panthers in ( semi ) prime time. Seahawks may have broken the Rams a bit…still time left in this one but it ain’t looking good.

  75. BucsFan81 Says:

In all honesty the Bucs did this to themselves. They couldn’t even beat the sorry Dolphins. Had plenty of chances to beat teams that had bad records and didn’t do it. They haven’t won a game since November 30th against Arizona.

  76. Simeon4HOF Says:

Rams drove but no TD. Game essentially over; ATL playing like Dawgs 2nite on D

  77. Jugheadfla2 Says:

At a certain point here McVay is going to be content with the L….so about coaches, I know everyone wants an offensive head coach but what about the Texans D coordinator or Vance Joseph….someone who can actually design a competent defensive scheme

  78. Simeon4HOF Says:

Should be an asterisk next to most recent division titles giving Bowles any further credit, as in while the Confernce sucked until they all decided to beat the Bucs end of 2025
Ain’t no points for barely winning NFC South when they all sacked. What with what was left of BAs and Tom’s team

  79. Simeon4HOF Says:

Conference sucked now we suck worse than all 3 of wn. How’s that happen, unless Todd’s the coach

  80. stucbuc Says:

The whole division is improving and playing better as the season ends…..except the Bucs. They are imploding and setting up a culture of losing for the next decade. What a pile of garbage Jason Licht and Todd Bowles have been. Shame.

  81. Les Says:

YA YA GIVES HIS ALL .NEED MORE DOGS ON D LINE FOR SURE .

  82. BucsFan81 Says:

Season over. No reason to even play on Saturday cause no damn way the Saints are going to beat Atlanta to help Tampa.

  83. Les Says:

Bowles let the the ship’s crew down.⁸

  84. Tye Says:

WoW!… Watching the Falcons defense wishing the Bucs defense could play like this against top offenses… Bowels really has destroyed the passion of Bucs fans!

  85. Trey Says:

Sorry but 7.5 sacks is not #2 worthy. #3 maybe. Maybe David Walker can become our #2 guy, but we need to make a big splash in free agency this year, or a trade for a stud edge rusher.

  87. Rod Munch Says:

How is it every time I watch a Falcons game, they get the calls. Even vs the Chiefs they get calls. How much money does Blank have in his ref slush fund?

And before you dopes say “19 penalties,” the refs literally gave the Falcons two TDs and overturned two turnovers – I’ll take that over 19 5 yard penalties.

  88. JA Says:

Anyone using the moniker, Todd Bowles, would be a hard mind to meld.
How do you wake up and think, “I know, I’ll become Todd Bowles on JBF and pretend to speak for him? He-he, that that should throw them off.”
As for me, I’m simply trying to learn the impetus behind the action.
Is it humor, HC empathy, a desire to portray yourself as someone other than yourself to resolve some sort of internal conflict, or a … I give up.
Not making fun, just curious to find the rationale.
I’m with ya, pal. You have a friend in me.

    ———–

Yeah, what we should do is offer a 2nd rounder for Garrett, that should get it done since edge rushers are a dime a dozen.

Also in this Bowles super soft zone defense, you could have LT in his prime coming off the edge and he’d be stuck in single digit sacks — well actually Bowles have him in coverage 70% of the time. When you play super soft zone like the Bucs do, a QB always has someone open to dump the ball off to if they get pressured. Remarkably when the Bucs play man – they pile up the sacks – yet Bowles reverts back to his stupid soft zone the moment there’s any momentum going and gives up huge long 3rd down plays because of it.

A chance to lose at home to Carolina?

  93. Simeon4HOF Says:

  94. Rod Munch Says:

So if the Bucs blow up the roster and do a full reboot and they’re 3-13 next year at this time, will all the dummies rooting to miss the playoffs be consistent with their beliefs and say, good, I’m glad we missed the playoffs have been happy talking about the draft for the last 6 weeks — or will the same people constantly yelling for everyone to be fired and cut, be calling for everyone to be fired and cut? I think I know the answer.

  95. Simeon4HOF Says:

Bowles got fans goin thru this additional rollercoaster a day after that bs in MIA.

    ——–

So answer this question… who is that?

Also what hot HC prospect is going to want to come to Tampa and be stuck with a $42M quarterback on a huge losing skid, who played so poorly he got everyone fired, and you’re stuck with him because of his fully guaranteed deal?

I keep pointing this out to people, and they literally never answer it. The Bucs likely are only going to get another mid-level middling coach this cycle because of Baker’s contract, and the fact you can’t actually start a true rebuild because of it. You’d be expected to compete in the NFC South, when really you need to probably do a full roster rebuild – but you can’t because of that contract, and you’re not drafting high enough to get a new QB and you don’t have the money to get a real 2nd option.

It’s not bashing Baker to point that out – it’s just the reality of his deal and having an older team with some talent, but not enough to truly compete. That’s not a team that hot coaching prospects going to want to go to. I don’t think anyways.

  100. Simeon4HOF Says:

    24-17. Crazy night

  101. Told You Says:

@Rod Butt Munch, read you moron. People have literally been “answering” it all day. So outside of bashing Baker, what real ideas do you have? Do we keep Todd Bowles?

  102. Simeon4HOF Says:

Rams can definitely move the ball must be nice

  103. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Disagree Munch.
Tampa is just a new HC, healthy guards, and 3 Defensive players away

  104. MadMax Says:

Shut up rob….your inbred low iq dna is showing.

  105. D-Mac Says:

For anyone watching the Rams vs Falcons games, that is what real defensive development looks like over the course of a season. Take notes, Bowles, if you can even get a job after the Glaziers do the right thing and presumably fire you.

  106. Simeon4HOF Says:

Naturally the rest of a coaching staff and better depth as well. And a TE lol.
Point is doubt a candidate wont turn down coming hear bcuz of Baker.
That is ridiculous. Yea he hurt and needs ro play better. Also alot easier when only starting Oline playing are Barton and slumping #67.

  107. Sly Pirate Says:

    Disagree Munch.
Tampa is just a new HC, healthy guards, and 3 Defensive players away

    ——-

Again, with Baker’s massive deal and the Bucs rolling over salaries for years to stay competitive, I don’t think this is nearly as good of a job as people think. The Baker Boi(s) still think week 6 MVP is the real Baker, but if Baker loses again vs the Panthers, he’d have lost 8 of 9 games, including 5 games in a row with the playoffs on the line. No coach with options is going to want to deal with that – so you’re going to be stuck with a mid-tier option.

If the team is really just a few healthy players and a few defensive players away, why not just stick with what you have? Baker single handedly has lost these last 4 games, if he was just a Mike Glennon level QB, the Bucs go 4-0 in that span and have the playoffs locked up. If Baker just needs to be healthy, then why would you make any changes when the Bucs should be competing for the 2nd seed in the NFC on Saturday if Baker was just middling the last month.

New HC is not going to turn Baker away I mean. Doubt a candidate will not come here bcuz of Mayfield.

    ——-

If Bowles is fired, it’s because the Bucs have lost 8 of their last 9 – and Baker lost 5 games in a row with the playoffs on the line. He’s not young, and he’s on a big deal – and he’s done this act through-out his career, having some hot streaks, and very long bad streaks. He’s a huge when it comes to a new coach and will limit options. You might get someone to come in who says they can fix Baker, but that’s not going to be a top option.

BTW, if I’m the Glazers, I go to Arians and beg him to come back to save Bowles – to be the “co”-headcoach for a year. That solves a ton of issues and would yield a huge turnaround if there was to be one. Then if it still doesn’t work, you do the full roster reboot in 2027 – and with that, you can get probably anyone you want since they could rebuild it from the ground up.

  124. Ander Says:

All of you dont want to go to
    The playoffs anyways.

  125. Told You Says:

I just can’t root against the Bucs. Haven’t in 42 years, not starting now. Go Rams!

  126. Tye Says:

uh oh…. Falcons putting forth a valiant effort!!!

  127. Obvious Says:

Baker has not been good for 2 months, but he hasn’t done anything single handily.

There are only 32 of these jobs so yeah I think several good options will want to come here.

I see a lot of posters here that are willing to admit that Baker has been part of the problem but really only one that is afraid to fire a head coach that has proved to be mediocre at best and in over his head at worst. From what I can gather it’s due to fear that another lost decade follows.

Moving on from Bowles doesn’t guarantee success and it doesn’t guarantee failure. What it does do is cut ties with a guy that can’t get it done. That’s all.

Also – baker has one more season left. The new guy will get to decide what happens going forward with him.

  128. Simeon4HOF Says:

I want to go to the playoffs

  129. BucsFan81 Says:

@Rod, what’s your solution for coach then? Keep Bowles?

    ———

Compared to committing to another middling coach for years, yes – I’d give Bowles one more year, but force him to give up play calling duties on defense. If it’s truly just health with Baker and the guards and a few defensive starters, then that would show up. THEN if it still the same old same old, you fire everyone and blow up the roster and start over. And to be sure, I think that would be the outcome. But I do not want some coach like Mike McCarthy coming in and being stuck with the guy for 4 years because we wanted to try to get one good year out of an old roster.

Ideally though, as stated above, I’d try everything to get Arians to come in as co-head coach for a year. He’s around the team, Joe reported he was blowing up yelling about the Falcons team, if he’s going to get that worked up anyways, then just be the head coach – if there’s anything left to this roster, I’d expect him to be able to squeeze it out. He should be on a football sideline, not in semi-retirement in any case. Arians is also very protective of his guys, so he might come in if it’s to try to save Bowles career. A long shot, but I’d try it.

21 seconds in 2025 is plenty of time to get a FG.

Also, as previously noted, it’s 100% certain the Falcons will lose to the Saints next week if they win this game. It’s just the way it is with a team like the Falcons.

  133. Simeon4HOF Says:

Rams have no timeouts. Game over.

  134. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Hire Kubiak asap

  135. BucsFan81 Says:

We’re cooked. Let’s Fire Bowles tonight and not wait for the disaster that will be Saturday afternoon

  136. Ander Says:

All of you guys do is complain about bowles congrats bucs fans you guys got your wish no playoffs

  137. ElioT Says:

    lol

    Falcons win!!!

Bucs can’t control anything – get what you deserve.

Bunch of punk-A** posers probably watching and crying right now, but they’ll soon accept it and look forward to vacation because they are losers.

  138. Jugheadfla2 Says:

    Wow….that would have been a TD…..lol

  139. Rod Munch Says:

Stafford missing passes in crunch time like he’s Baker Mayfield.

  140. Faspro Says:

    Man, that was dpi

  141. BucsFan81 Says:

    Vegas making calls

  142. Rod Munch Says:

The refs gave the Falcons 2 TDs, and overturned 2 TO’s vs the Bucs, and tonight the refs just saved the Falcons again. How much money does Blank put his the refs Venmo account?

  143. Simeon4HOF Says:

I didnt call for Bowles to be fired till that ATL loss. And here we are.
We need a new HC. We need a new DC. We need a new OC.
It is what it is. And it sucks.
I wanted Bowles to succeed and in the end still hoped he would.
Now no playoffs, and Im fire the HC hott bcuz that’s the last thing I ever wanted,
And it is Damn sure the Last thing that should have happened.
    We were @@@@@@@@ 6-2!

  144. Ander Says:

I hope you guys are happy

  145. Chuckys Bucs Says:

Not the Bucs year. Even ATL is making sure our season ends this weekend

  146. Tye Says:

    Falcons WIN!

  147. BucsFan81 Says:

Season over boys. From 6-2 to not even making the playoffs. Wow and the sad part is they might not Fire Bowles.

  148. Bucs Reality Check Says:

    YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    THANK YOU, RAHEEM!!!!!!!!

    BUH BYE BOWLES!

  149. Rod Munch Says:

With 100% certainty I can tell you the Saints will beat the Falcons next week. We saw this same act a few weeks ago with the Panthers, and the Falcons aren’t as good as the Panthers.

Also, amazing how every call ever in history has gone against the Bucs outside of the Brady years.

  150. Bucs Reality Check Says:

    Rod,

Falcons will beat the Saints in Atlanta.

    BUCS SEASON OVER!

    END THE BOWLES ERA!

  151. Simeon4HOF Says:

So the Bucs will miss the playoffs when 2 teams they were supposed to beat have ATL emerge. Neither NO or ATL are going and they control the Bucs destiny.
    Cannot make this up

  152. Simeon4HOF Says:

But it’s not our HC fault that just led us thru a 1-7 end of the year total collapse ???!

  153. Told You Says:

@Obvious, thanks for pointing out the obvious some can’t see. To diss Baker but think we should keep Todd another year is indefensible. Give him another year to see what…we’ve seen the same for the last three. If Baker is so bad, a good head coach would be smart enough to know he only has one year on his contract.

Nothing! not even the draft, nothing, it is over completely if they keep Bowles as HC.

    Rod,

Falcons will beat the Saints in Atlanta.

    ——–

And the Panthers will rout the Saints – where have I heard that?

The Falcons are not a good team, and teams like the Falcons always fall flat on their faces. As a lifelong Bucs fans, I’ve seen many times see a 4-9 Bucs will beat a team like the 11-2 Bills, then always lose the following week. Every single time. That’s the Falcons.

I know you so-called Bucs fans are celebrating the Bucs being eliminated from the playoffs – but you’re rooting for it too early.

  156. Bucs Reality Check Says:

    “So-called Bucs fans”

I’ve seen us hoist the Lombardi in person, have you?

  157. FortMyersDave Says:

Rod Munch: 1988: Bucs beat the Bills 10-5 on a cold December day at the Sombrero. Vinny avoided turnovers and Kelly threw a few piocks while the Bucs also had a goalline stand. As you said , they then lost the next week on the way to a typical 5 or 6 win Perkins season….. I think Rah could lose to the Saints easily and keep in mind that he probably thinks he is coaching for his job which could be a good thing (just like Bowles) if you want an ATL L. However, the Saints may decide to tank and guarantee that 4th place schedule and top 8 draft pick.

  158. Rod Munch Says:

FortMyersDave – The Saints have been the best team in the NFC South for the last month, I really don’t see them tanking to try to get a higher pick, they will want to keep the momentum going, and they have legit momentum right now. I think the Falcons falling flat on their face is the lock of the year – it’s just what every team like the Falcons do in that situation, we’ve just seen it over and over again.

So the game on Saturday means a ton. Not that I’m actually expecting the Bucs to win, but I’m not going to join the crowd rooting for failure because they think if Bowles is fired everything is magically solved and we’re a SB team next year.
