The Bucs (7-9) lost today, of course, in Miami, their seventh “L” in eight games. But the Panthers (8-8) got rolled at home by Seattle, as expected. So next weekend (time and day to be determined) the teams will square off in Tampa for a trip to the playoffs.

Gruden was fired. Dungy was fired. Honestly, if the Glazers were to pull the trigger immediately, not one of us would be mad. The culture is obviously better in Miami than in Tampa right now and considering the offensive talent we have, it’s a darned shame.

Why in the world you think that is an absolutely is beyond me, whether or not I agree that Bowles should be fired (they don’t listen to you, me, Munch or even the Joes). Win or lose, my hunch is Bowles stays, regardless. I’d put him staying at at least 60% either way. They strike me as extremely concerned about “social justice” (whatever that really is) and I’ll leave it at that.
And again I ask, if not Bowles, who is guaranteed to be better?
One thing they could do to apply some pressure (and cover their collective social justice a$$) is to tell him he absolutely has to hire a defensive coordinator and remove himself from that part of the equation. Bowles could refuse and fire himself.
