Bucs Pass Defense To Get Tested?

Given how rotten the Bucs’ pass defense is, as a team, Joe can not just write off Miami rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers.
Last week Ewers made his first NFL start and he wasn’t horrible. He completed 66 percent of his passes. And per Rich Hribar of Sharp Football Analysis, the Dolphins did not have him dink-and-dunk much at all.
40% of Ewers’ passes were 10 or more yards downfield (5th on the week), and 16.7% were 20 or more yards downfield (6th).
Unfortunately for Ewers, he was ineffective when he pushed the ball.
On throws 10 or more yards downfield, he was 6 of 12 for 8.4 Y/A (20th) with 2 interceptions.
So there is the thing: Why wouldn’t the tanking Dolphins test the Bucs? What harm would it do? If Mike McDonald claims the Dolphins are not tanking, why not test the greatest weakness of the Bucs and throw it long?
Given the fact backup quarterbacks average 313 yards against the Bucs this season, it would not shock Joe if we are all biting are fingernails in the fourth quarter.
Sadly, Joe has zero faith in this Bucs defense.

Seriously. Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder have watched the Bucs pass defense and have co-written a new derivative of a hit song “Ain’t no stopping us now” sung n the voice of opposing bottom shelf quarterbacks who suddenly look like Tom Brady / Michael Vick clones when they play His Jeeniusness.

Hopefully our players get drunkenly wasted at the Hard Rock Miami and show up to play on muscle memory..it’s our Only chance. I’ll supply the Barf bags.

Todd and our defense could surprise us today. But not to say, we won’t be “nail biting” in the 4th quarter. Still optimistic that things can fall our way.
