The Wednesday Injury Report

December 17th, 2025

Injury-free? Finally?

Health will not be a major excuse if the Buccaneers can’t beat the stumbling Panthers on Sunday afternoon.

And there’s a great reason for that.

The Bucs have a short official injury report. Yes, Calijah Kancey, Cody Mauch, Ben Bredeson and Zyon McCollum are on injured reserve. Mostly, those are painful losses. But the rest of the roster is very healthy.

The full Wednesday injury report is below.

Baker Mayfield is not on it, following weeks of nursing knee, shoulder and oblique woes.

Mike Evans is fine, despite being “limited” in practice today and Joe assumes Lavonte David’s knee issue isn’t much more than a veteran rest day. Cade Otton (knee) didn’t play last week.

The only thing that gives the BUCS a chance is that it’s an away game that won’t get much exposure.

  2. Teacherman Says:

    Ra’Shad Wisdom hits hard.

    Let him play LB sometimes.

We are getting killed in the middle of the field.

We need to play more dime package with only ONE ILB.

    Preferably Deion Jones.

I also think we need some packages with zero linebackers.

    Only DBs and pass rushers.

KJ Britt cost us last year. Same thing this year. Just a different 5th round LB.

The injury report is less than it has been and that is a great sign. Go Bucs!

  4. SlyPirate Says:

    SVD!!!
SVD had a rough start but he turned it around. Glad he’s back. That’s a big deal.

Saturday: James Madison vs Oregon CFP
Once Licht locks in on a school, he tends to go back to the well. Bucky and Tez are Ducks. You may want to watch because some future Bucs may be on display.

The Bucs needs are TE, DT, Edge, MLB.

    Ducks to watch …
    #1 Ranked TE – Sadiq
    #3 Ranked DT – Washington
    #7 Ranked Edge – Uiagalelei
    UDFA Prospect MLB – Boettcher

I wouldn’t be surprised to see us with Round 1 – Washington and Round 2 – Uiagalelei.

I don’t know what to think. Will the defense all of a sudden snap out of it? Will they no longer have the multiple lapses in judgement or technique or misfit’s and stop allowing all those explosive plays? Probably not. Have they fixed the special teams issues? Because if you allow the Panthers to start drives at the 50 yard line they are going to win. And now Miami is starting their new rookie qb…and we all know how the Buc’s defense performs against rookie and/or back-up qb’s. idk…tough being a Buc fan right now.

  6. Kenton Smith Says:

Getting healthy and hopefully much needed attitude adjustment for the stretch run sounds awful good to me.

  7. bucs63 Says:

Glad you acknowledged the 4 missing starters. We’ll need some splash plays from the offense . And the defense needs to give the ball to the offense. Ugh. Gonna be a challenge. Go Bucs!

  8. El hefe Says:

No the offense needs to just score without excuses defense ain’t been the best but when they get the ball back it would be nice for them to turn it into points at least once this season

  9. EEK Says:

    none of it matters

    this team is done

  10. JustVisiting Says:

I think the offense is going to show up strong enough to compensate for the D.

  11. Adrnagy Says:

One thing is for sure. When Winfield plays good / great. Defense as a unit is good. Went he was out injured. Defense was good. Since he’s back different.

  12. Hodad Says:

Between Dennis, and Morrison there will be at least two explosive plays. Licht can’t pick em, Bowles can’t coach em.

  13. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I don’t recall seeing an injury report that small all year.

  14. Bucsfan2023 Says:

SVD is a touchdown for the Panthers waiting to happen

  15. Bucsfan2023 Says:

The injury report is small because most of the injured players are now on the IR report

“No the offense needs to just score without excuses defense ain’t been the best but when they get the ball back it would be nice for them to turn it into points at least once this season“

Kind of want to wait for the season to finish to run back all of our turnovers and see exactly what the offense did with them. Can think of a few instances we’ve gotten the ball back and settled for 3 or punted, rather than cash them in for 7.

  17. HC Grover Says:

All we need is over 30 points. Canales and his Carolina Shrimp will collapse.

  18. Scotty Mack Says:

This offense should be scoring at least 35 points per game but the problem is the middle of the O-line. The pocket is collapsing very quickly on Baker and it is impossible to get to your second and third reads when you can’t see them due to the immediate pressure up the middle.

Since we don’t use a tight end very much in the passing game, I think they should play with 6 offensive linemen.

  19. drdneast Says:

Good take Scotty Mack. Mayfield was lucky to get off the field alive last week in direct contrast to our feeble pass rush attemts. I think we tried 6 O lineman on the first play of the second series pn our final possession and a D Lineman burst through untouched and tackled Bucky for a 4 yard loss. The play call didn’t help much either. Waning: We are going to run.

  20. Pewter Power Says:

This game might be flexed! there is interest in the division battles across the league and for some reason they think this might be an interesting game. Maybe it’s the return odd Mike evens and McMillan

  21. Nicholas Carlson Says:

I challenge Todd to play 4-3 defense

  22. PoopyPants Says:

    Panthers 34 Bucs 20

Byrce Young 23-29 390 Yards 3 TD Passes

    Baker Mayfield 21-35 265 yards 2 TD 2 INTS

  23. Crazyhorse54 Says:

I long ago put away rose-colored glasses and realized the Bucs are a divided team with very bad coaching/administration. You don’t have 2 OCs leave in as many years and spin it as part of Bowles coaching tree. No, key leaders leave because of some internal dysfunction. I doubt the Bucs win another game.

  24. Lightningvinny1 Says:

Screw it , spread them out and go 5 wide,, Big Mike, JMac, EE, Godwin ,, Sheppard (or Tez),,, sprinkle in the occasional QB draw

  25. IrishTony Says:

We’ll probably win this game and probably win the division. I still believe Bowles will resign/retire after this season. He said it before the season if anyone was listening.

Just finished watching it. Interior seemed to collapse more than now

    Best injury report all year

Coulda fooled FOX. Currently, four days out (lot of time to change), the only markets FOX is piping the game to are only in Florida and the Carolinas.

  29. firethecannons Says:

The only thing that matters is Todd Bowles getting fired

  30. Firethecannons Says:

Unfortunately, on this website, you can’t delete your comments. I would delete my comment above. I have no confidence in Todd Bowles defense.

  31. Oscar Says:

    Crazyhorse54
They left because they got head coaching jobs.
