The talent in the front seven is no excuse. This isn’t a two year regime. These are hand picked people and this regime has had an opportunity to build it

  2. Bucfan593 Says:

Could Todd Bowels be safe if he hired a defensive coordinator and remained solely a head coach?

    Jovial podcast!

Love it, “All is not lost.” Perfect statement.

Felt really bad for Mike last week. He did such an excellent job and took it all to heart for sure. Happy to hear the great news about Mike’s future too.

Godwin is looking better and better. Kirk did get very lucky last week. And he was very lucky that Pitts did so well too. Plus some ref concerns. Still, it was a close game. A “debacle” but almost winnable.

Watched a few episodes of the Bucs documentary, and will watch the rest while off work. No worries Ira. No need for fans to fast forward. So far, the entire way it’s been put together is absolutely awesome!

  4. Bucfan1988 Says:

Joe (Steve) you’re wrong on what you said.

The 4th & 14 screwup you said was ONE HUNDRED PERCENT Winfield’s fault…

You were wrong. Just admit it….

  5. Smarter than Joe Says:

Ira shows his lack of football IQ AGAIN

Can’t bag on Bucky when the genius OC has him running behind the interior of the OL. Coen was a master run designer, Grizz is NOT. Bucky needs to be schemed to run in the open space or screened. He’s not Derrick Henry he’s not running behind 3rd and 4th stringers.

    Be better Ira

  6. Ha-Ha-Ha Says:

What if Mike McDaniel gets fired in Miami?????

  7. Bucfan1988 Says:

Btw I think all the Bucs defensive players need to watch the early episodes of Raise The Flags documentary…

Maybe it will motivate them to bring a little heart into their job.

    Really enjoyed the documentary.
    Finished it up last night..

  8. NCbucfan Says:

HeyJude, how did Cousins get lucky? He looked just as good if not better in the 2 games he played us last year. We had the same defensive coordinator then.

  9. OneAndThree Says:

I refuse to watch the documentary until after this dumpster fire of a season is complete.

In true Bucs fashion we’ll probably walk a$$ backwards into a putrid NFC South title, then get embarrassed at home in round 1.

Bowles then will keep his job.

Really can’t imagine how hated he will be if he’s allowed to stay.

It could get really ugly next season under Bowles from the fan perspective.

Not being able to give away suite tickets tells the entire story.

Free beer and food is hard to pass up unless you can’t keep it all down watching Bowles defense.

    ONEANDTHREE,

Don’t let this abismal season hold you back from watching the documentary. It allows your brain to remember happy thoughts about the franchise instead of the crapshow we’ve seen this year….

And yeah, if Bowles backs into the playoffs barely winning and the team gets there a$$es handed to them 1st game, Glazers better blow this up!!!!

Honestly I want them to blow it up no matter what 🤷🏻‍♂️

  11. Upstate NY BUC Says:

Ronde was adamant on his podcast! no way in hell are they fixing this broken-down defense this year!!! Have to let the chips fall. Any word on Kancey!! Go Bucs

  12. toopanca Says:

The offense is not the strength of this team. The run game is the strength of this team!

The unreliability of the passing game makes it the team’s greatest liability.

Sure, the passing game hits some lucky streaks with several completions in a row and occasional big gains.

But, 50% of pass plays end up as interceptions, sacks, completions for loss or no gain and incompletions.

Two of those in a row and the Bucs are facing 3rd and long. And, teams are destroying the Bucs on 3rd and long!

The Bucs usually average over 4 yards per run.

Except for goal line stupidity, they Bucs rarely have two runs in a row for a loss or no gain. And, they periodically rip off the kind of yardage needed to convert 3rd and long.

It was recently noted that Godwin finally converted the Bucs first WR passing two point conversion. Despite all of the failures passing for two point conversions this year, the Bucs have been oblivious all season to the idea that RB’s averaging 4 yards per carry might convert a two point conversion.

The Bucs defense has been criticized for failing to prevent the Falcon’s game winning Field Goal drive.

The best defense’s in the HFL do not give up that drive – not because they play better defense, but because they are not on the field. The best NFL defense is the one on the sideline with a lead and while Ball Control Offense runs out the clock.

Thursday night, after the Falcon’s final timeout, on 2nd and 14, any run play that stays in bounds takes the clock down to the minute warning. Any run play on 3rd down that stays in bounds takes the clock down to 1 minute and 20 seconds.

Maybe those two runs pick up the first down. The Bucs had picked up that many yards on consecutive runs already in the game. If they do it again, the game is over.

If the two runs fail to pick up the first downs, the Bucs punt with less time than the Falcons needed to cross midfield, and the Bucs win!

  13. Nicholas Carlson Says:

    Tua benched!

  14. Allen Lofton Says:

Expecting the Bucs to not repeat the same mistakes game after game is fools gold. There’s no evidence to the contrary. Ultimately, coaching is the difference which is an indictment of Coach Bowles.

Asking for things to change ??? Coach Bowles won as a defensive coach and never as a head coach.

It’s tough to find a Coach Reed but Bowles has shown who he is. Now it’s up to the Glazers and as fans all we can do watch how it all plays out.
