Huge Afternoon Game For Bucs’ Playoff Chances

The postseason is on Joe’s mind.
Hopefully, Joe can enjoy the Bucs in the postseason, rather than sitting at Hooters or Abe’s Place and watching other NFC teams.
A big step toward the Bucs (7-7) finding a postseason berth would be the Panthers (7-6) losing at the slimy Saints this afternoon in New Orleans (4:25 p.m. kickoff).
Maybe that sounds farfetched, but Carolina might be the most inconsistent team in the NFL this season. Nobody ever knows what edition of the team will show up. Bryce Young could throw for 155 yards or 400. The Saints beat Carolina 17-7 last month. And, of course, the Saints (3-10) are on a one-game winning streak after being the Bucs in Tampa last Sunday.
Joe will struggle to muster the strength to pull for a Saints victory. Hopefully, the Saints don’t injure young. Joe doesn’t want to see Panthers backup QB Andy Dalton face the Bucs next Sunday in Charlotte.
Joe can only imagine what a capable veteran like Dalton would do against the Tampa Bay defense.

I’m hoping also for a Saints win but my hopes and dreams for this season as busted. We started the season with what looked like the best receiving corps in the league. That went ‘poof’.

As a Buc, Bowels has always had to rely on the success of others around him to hide his inadequacies… Canales, Who elevated the Bucs do to his offensive coaching prowess, prove he was the better coach and man for the job in the end..
Yes, I too would have preferred Liam Coen be the Bucs HC but that doesn’t help this story line…

When you have to pray other teams lose so you have a chance, you don’t have much of a team. Hopefully the Bowles era ends with a loss at Carolina next week. Get the search going early for a change. I have no desire to see these Bucs make a one, and done appearance in the playoffs. Sorry Joe, I’m over the 2025 Bucs.

Joe, the Saints sweep Car!! lol on that, but like I said about the Atl game, there was hope right until 3-28. Anyway, yes on one hand it would be a nice surprize to see the Saints sweep Car. On the other hand, do you want to see this Bucs team in the playoffs?. Haven’t we been embarressed enough alrerady. Can you imagine a playoff game with this defense. The opposing team would have a record setting, historical playoff day. I don’t know 3-28, 4th and 14 was pretty embarrassing. How much more embarressment do we want?. Unfortunately, and sad, but that is this team right now. We can hope , but we must accept this defense is bad and appears to only be getting worse. Yes it would be nice if the offense could score 50 points a game and maybe. However, as Evans and many of us kept saying 3-28, 3-28, how do you come back from that I don’t think you can.

After watching Raise the Flags on Prime and seeing what a real defense looked like from 98-2023, the current Bucs players should be forced to watch that, Defense stinks and offense not much better, doesn’t matter in Carolina loses to the Saints, the Bucs will not win another game so Retarded Division goes to the Panthers

Saints and rest of NFC South want to dethrone the Bucs. Saints will help Carolina win this game and it’s a win-win for both of them. It helps their draft position and knocks Bucs down. Then with everything on the line we get throttled by a hungry amped up Carolina team that had nothing meaningful to play for years. They get last game of year off and we get to talk about coaches, draft and FAs.

As a lifelong fan, I just can’t route for the Bucs anymore this year. They certainly don’t deserve to be in the playoffs and Carolina will see to that. The players, especially on defense are an unlikable bunch., Lazy, stupid, undisciplined, selfish and overpaid. Coaches are incompetent to say the least and fans have been subjected to season long bad football. Time to clean house!!!!

Remember Cooper Kupp, he started this whole thing! As soon as Sean McVay figured out how to dismantle this defense, the inconsistencies started and the league copied the same. Stop painting scenarios about probabilities of the playoffs. Just remember what coach Mora said and move on from this year. I’ve never rooted for the Panthers, but I would love to see Canales team open up a total collapse on our team. After 43 years of following them, I’m done until they clean house.

I’m rooting for the Panthers to win and put the Bucs into essentially an elimination game next Sunday where they will be essentially eliminated. End this lost season early and play backs ups and bench over-priced slackers so they don’t get hurt and try and trade them. The Bucs still 100% control their own destiny. If the Bucs beat the Panthers twice, they’re in. Doesn’t matter what else happens, even losing the Dolphins, doesn’t matter. Beat the Panthers twice, they don’t need help, they’re in the playoffs.
If Baker hadn’t choked the last two weeks, then it wouldn’t come down to this, but here we are. But if Baker gets hot, then the Bucs still have a chance to do damage. It still could happen. Baker, even though he single handedly lost the last two games, did at least show signs on Thursday night that he was close to breaking out of his two month funk.

I know they should never give up and play to win. However, let’s be honest, they’re not going far in the post season if they make it. I’d rather them rest the injured stars and still play hard, but let’s start planning for next year. Let these players play to better their resume for their next team.

The Bucs defense can not stop anybody from throwing the ball down field. The defense makes every terrible quarterback look good. Baker is just an average quarterback. He was benched by by Panthers. Sam Donald is much better than Baker. Good luck to the Bucs to beat Panthers 1 time. This Bucs team can not go anywhere without Brady.
