Next Five Games Are “Easy”

December 7th, 2025

Laugher today?

If the Bucs don’t make the playoffs, that’s on them. Because BSPN believes the road to the playoffs for the Bucs is paved with cupcakes.

In November, the Bucs demonstrated they can’t hang with good teams and struggle to beat bad teams, winning by a field goal.

The Bucs did not play like a good team in November. But according to BSPN Research, that doesn’t matter. No playoff contender has an easier final five games than the Bucs, per the four-letter.

What’s at stake: The Buccaneers have a half-game lead over the Panthers for first place in NFC South. They also have the second-easiest remaining strength of schedule, according to ESPN Analytics, ahead of only the Saints.

Joe has one wish for the Bucs if the players haven’t already checked out. If you believe you are a good team, a playoff team, then act like it and smash the slimy Saints today!

It would be a crying shame if the schedule is loaded with cupcakes, and the Bucs, rather than crush them and win the division, decide to eat the cupcakes instead and are watching the playoffs on the couch or at a beach bar in the DR with fans.

BS. There are no cupcakes in the NFL. Rams got beat by Panthers. Bills got beat by Falcons. Ravens got beat by Bengals.

  2. Defense Rules Says:

Bucs need to be RUNNING THE BALL to control the game and dominate. Do what it takes to get to ‘3rd-and-short’ then run the ball twice if necessary to pick up the 1st down. Forget the ‘passing on 3rd down’ act; it’s not working worth a hoot this season.

And for heaven’s sake Grizz, keep telling yourself that you have THREE good RBs, not just Bucky. And for receivers, TEs actually have a role on the team other than as small linemen who block. Use them.

  3. FortMyersDave Says:

Buc will probably be favored in all of the final 5 games except for Carolina on the road. Right now the Bucs are -8.5 vs the Aints and the early line on the TNF game vs the ATL is -6 but the odds mean bupkis with all these in division games and the road game vs the Fins is not going to be a gimme either. It all comes down to how the Bucs never boat race anyone and somehow allow inferior opponents to hang around primarily thanks to bad D and special teams. The O should get better as people come back like Evans. Someone above mentioned getting the TE involved, well last time that happened Otten turned a decent gain into a pick 6 the other way. No way I would trust stone hands Otten again….. Back to winning the division, Bucs could back in if the Panthers lose to Seattle but any given Sunday and if Bowles lets his team play flat vs the ATL and at Carolina, the Bucs could find themselves in second place and will need to win those last 2 games. Nothing comes easy for the Bucs especially with Bowles at the helm.

Lets see, Kirk Cousins seems to do way to well against the Bucs, and they have 2 against a Panther team that beat the Rams who embarrassed the Bucs. A distinct possibility is the Bucs go 1-2 in these 3 games.

I in no way want to see that happen. But with a hit and miss offense to date, for many reasons including injury. AND…… a defense that scares nobody but Buc fans lol all bets are off. (–See Ronde)

Who knows what will happen, at least some of the walking wounded are back, Bucky and Godwin, and soon Mike and JMac. Would be nice to see a Calijah Kancey sighting for help on the D that looks likely.

    GO BUCS!!!!!

  5. Lightningvinny1 Says:

Just win today,, beat the saints ,,,, Don’t worry about Cousins, that’s next week and see if he makes it through todays game against the Seahawks vaunted D,,, There is no winning streak without winning Today!

    So tired of negativity

  7. BucU Says:

There’s negativity because this team has looked like doo doo since the bye week break. We discuss the good and the bad here and there’s been plenty of bad the last 5 weeks.

  8. PSL Bob Says:

I’m not so sure the last 3 games are cupcake games. We just have to make sure that, at worst, we split with the Panthers. We lose both of those games and we can wave bye bye to the playoffs.

  9. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Win today….thats all that matters today…..move the sticks by passing beyond the sticks….

  10. DBS Says:

Don’t care if they make the playoffs. They’ll get knocked out faster than they got in.

  11. BA’s Red Pen Says:

Yes there are plenty of cupcakes in the NFL but if any team shows up not ready to play (like the whole Bucs defense, On you Bowles) even a cupcake will embarrass you. I, like most Bucs fans don’t see us doing anything in the playoffs. It just seems like squeaking into the playoffs and losing the first game is Bowles’ ceiling as a head coach. Zyon McCollum needs to give at least half of his contract back, dude covers the slant like he’s on a Lovie Smith defense.

  12. Todd Says:

    Yeah Right

  13. Vegasbuc Says:

    Fire Todd

  14. aleyz2020 Says:

Ditto to BA’s Red Pen! This idea of losing a bunch of meaningful games in the middle of the season and trying to play catch up at the end has gotten old. There was so much hope, yet here we are once again like many other years trying to just make it in.

You’re not the only one, BB. These yahoos would have never made it through the 1982-95 years. However, no team should be called a cupcake. I know a younger guy who is a big Giants fan. Hardcore. He’s rooting for them to keep losing so they can be top dawg on Draft day. I remember too many of those seasons with the Bucs. This isn’t one of them. Go Bucs!!

  16. PLawson Says:

No cupcakes, not even the Saints. Bowles’ soft defense keeps even weak teams close. If we get healthy soon we can make some noise but it isn’t going to be easy by any means.

  17. adam from ny Says:

carolina and yes, miami are both playing much better…and carolina is really not f’in around…

    that’s 3 of the 5 games right there…

and one would think, atlanta isn’t laying down on thrusday night, on national tv, with rah’s job on the line…

    so that’s 4 of 5…

    so where’s the easy peazy…???

oh yeah, maybe the saints today

  18. Mr. Editor Says:

The pressure is mounting. If the Bucs lose the majority of these “easy” games, Coach Bowles will not be around next year.

  19. Pewter Power Says:

This is not the 1982-95 years, we’re not less than 100 years into the franchises existence. Every year half the fan base tries to say this team has a lack of talent but are never saying it in the offseason but we all said No excuses this year yet here we are desperately in need of cupcake teams to make the playoffs.

On another note Go back and look at the Patriots schedule. Bucs and Bills are the toughest teams on their schedule this year and Carolina I guess

  20. Tye Says:

Because of the putrid Bucs defense, the Bucs are the cupcakes!

  21. Fed up with this suckery Says:

How Toilet Bowl still has a job is beyond me! Defense is atrocious, special teams are a pathetic crap show! There is No way we beat Carolina even once, Miami will be a loss! I’d rather have Mike Norvell coaching this team. At least you know you’re losing before wasting time watching! Fire this MFer already
