Mike Evans And Jalen McMillan Will Not Play Sunday

December 5th, 2025

Not yet.

It’ll be at least one more week for the return of receivers Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan.

Both returned to practice this week after long absences due to injury. Evans (broken clavicle) and McMillan (broken neck bones) looked impressive in practice, Bowles said, but their readiness process is ongoing. Each had been ruled out for Sunday, per Bowles.

The Bucs play again Thursday night at home against Atlanta.

Tristan Wirfs (oblique) was on the practice field today and is listed as questionable. Yes, the Bucs will need him against a feisty Saints defense that can rush the passer reasonably well.

If we lose to the Saints, give everyone the rest of the year off!

Makes more sense to give them more time, and have them ready for the Falcons on a quick turnaround. Smart move if the logic were to not have both come back from injury and play both games in 4 days.

    Rest them all till 2027

It would have been wise to have mcmillan to dress and get 5-10 snaps.

By now, I would expect the only issue with him is mental (just broke your neck) and conditioning. Getting a few snaps to knock off the rust before Atlanta and then the final 3 important games would be nice. I would expect mike to be ready right away when he is back.

    smart move bowles….

if Grizz cant score 28+ pts vs the saints with Tom Moore holding his hand, healthy o-line, RW1,CG14, Bucky and Tucker he needs to go asap!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  8. Simeon4HOF Says:

Np. Saints are slimy and play dirty anyway
    Now go sign JPP

  9. Obvious One Says:

I doubt anybody is surprised about that. Now if they don’t play next week….

  10. Greg Says:

    Fire Bowles! He’s the problem.

  11. Bradinator Says:

Good! Let them ease back in. If we can’t beat this Saints team without them, we have NO business talking playoffs anyway. We will NEED them if we make the playoffs, since we will need to score 40 points a game to have a chance.

  12. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

Until I see McMillan take some hits and get up without a problem several games in a row will I change my mind that he should seriously consider retiring.

    @Simeon

You know I like that idea.

Not so much that he rushes the passer (he’s pretty old now but I bet he could still cause some havic)… More so that he can help to install A SPINE! Perhaps a man who’s ACTUALLY been THERE and done THAT. A teacher that HAS Demonstrated that HE takes NO SH!T from anybody! And EXACTLY HOW you administer PAIN to the likes of say the Aint’s or ANY poor SOB that had the bad luck of lining up on the opposite side of him… Perhaps he CAN LIGHT A FIRE IN THESE “BOYS” SO THAT THEY CAN LEARN HOW TO PLAY BALL LIKE “MEN”!!!!
