Michael Penix Won’t Start Against The Bucs

In four weeks the Bucs host the Dixie Chicks. Who knows what the Bucs’ record will be the way this defense is playing. But Joe knows one thing for certain: they won’t face quarterback Michael Penix.
Today Penix was placed on injured reserve. That means he will miss a minimum of four games, mandated by the NFL. Penix suffered a knee injury yesterday in a loss to the Stinking Panthers.
Per Adam Schefter of BSPN, the injury “does not look encouraging“and Penix is seeking a second opinion. He may be out for the season.
Joe doesn’t know if this is good or bad news for the Bucs. Because Penix’s backup is Kirk Cousins. You know, he of the 509 yards passing and four touchdowns against the feared Todd Bowles defense last season?
In other injury news, Bowles said today in his day-after presser that both Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin will have their workload increased this week in practice. If they can go Sunday night in Los Angeles will be determined later in the week.
“They will get worked in more,” Bowles said. “We’ll get them more reps.”
Corner Jamel Dean, Bowles said, has a “hip flexor strain … right now he is day to day” with more medical tests to come.

Great so Kirk Cousins will start who destroyed the great Todd Bowles defense last year as almost every decent QB will. Please get rid of Bowles and all the Coaches and put Licht on 1 year prohibition. Yesterdays game had to be the worst Coached game in NFL History. Doesn’t the genius Offensive Coordinator realize his game plan takes Baker Mayfield out of rhythm. How do you rush successfuly the whole game and now 2 games in a row, don’t run on 3rd and 2 and don’t run on 4th and 2 because you’re punting. The Coaching staff is responsible for the teams 4 losses not the players! The Fans know more than the Head Coach and the GM!

Weary of the Buc/Bowles/Bull Scat. 8-9 or 9-8 , I just do not care anymore. I will enjoy the rest of the year with JBF game commentary and radio or tv whatever. If not for JBF i would find better way to spend the time.

Did we not throw a pick, with the lead, to shift the momentum against the bills.
I agree we are in the danger zone right now but this seasons struggles are as much on the offense as the defense (don’t forget ST). Each squad has contributed to our losses and to our wins. Both squads show great promise @ times and pees on its on leg @ other. 😬

How long will we just settle for content??? Why do we have owners that just want to show the country that they are an equal opportunity ownership rather then what is best for the team and fans! Todd has proven nothing in his entire head coaching career and has had one of the best squads that any decent head coach could have taken them further. I love my Bucs, but this organization is a joke. It only seems to want to make moves or trades when someone like Tom Brady says so.

The losing head coach of the ATL Buc game should be immediately fired. Cousins will have a career day as usual. Only chance the Bucs have is that the ATL D is as bad as Bowles’D, giving up over 500 yards 2 games in a row. Bet the over with a side bet on the ATL moneyline if you think Rah will out coach Bowles. He might.
