Positive Signs From Injured Bucs

November 9th, 2025

Bucky Irving enjoying a pregame vibe.

Today’s return of starting right tackle Luke Goedeke after a two-month injury issue was a welcome sight overall, and a shot in the arm for a Bucs run game that looked damn solid against the Patriots.

Goedeke got through the entire game on his healed foot.

So which stud Bucs player is next to return?

Bucky Irving missed his fifth consecutive game today and did not attend the Bucs’ last game in New Orleans. Today, however, Irving was on the sideline and feeling what appeared to be a happy, musical vibe before the game. That’s a photo above. Joe’s curious to see what gem Irving drops on Instagram next.

Is Irving close with his shoulder and ankle issues? Maybe.

Joe was more intrigued to see defensive tackle Calijah Kancey on the sidelines today as he was in New Orleans. No sling was seen on Kancey’s body (photo below). He tore his pectoral muscle in September and potentially could be ready to play in January.

    BOTH OUT FOR THE YEAR.

  2. TheBucsAnthem Says:

The Bucs will be fighting just to get into the Playoffs after we seen today…….

hopefully everyone will be back by then

  3. Rod Munch Says:

Technically, from what I read, Cody could be back for a deep playoff run if he was on the early side of his return window. I’m just going off timelines, everything I read said he’s done, but just curious if he’s been around or been mentioned at all.

  4. Vegasbuc Says:

    Stumble into playoffs. Weak division

  5. Durango 95 Says:

I’m not sure that what ails this team is listed on an injury report.

  6. 813bucboi Says:

If kancey returns, play him on the edge…

Let Roberts continue to get more snaps and rotate yaya with reddick whenever he returns

    GO BUCS

  7. 813bucboi Says:

    Is Klein really that bad?

    #65 is trash

    GO BUCS

  8. Rod Munch Says:

BTW, if it wasn’t for Bucs coaches, today would be one of the worst days of football ever.

Almost every game has been a blow-out except for three.

    Colts-Falcons (Morris)
    Jags-Texans (Coen)
    Pats-Bucs (Bowles)

Well, now that I look at it, 0-3 as well. That part isn’t good – but those three games were the only three exciting games that have happened today.

    ———-

Yeah, he is pretty bad – literally saw him get ran over today. Klein didn’t look good in preseason, I didn’t think anyways, but I’d still give him a shot.

But man, how many guys can you keep losing? It’s ridiculous.

  10. Cchead Says:

Kancey the 19th overall pick has been a bust. Another wasted high draft pick.

  11. VOT Says:

Thankfully we play in the NASCAR division where tires blow when least expected…

Get right vs the Shills and we can still get to 12 wins

    Need Haggard ASAP!!!!

  12. ElioT Says:

This team is GLASS this year.

Please excuse my lack of confidence

Meanwhile he literally lead the team in sacks last year.

  14. SBucs Says:

Jason is showing his lack of capability. His vaunted offensive line sucks. His best OL player has regressed. Maybe it’s injuries but then again every team has injuries. Injuries should not be an excuse. They aren’t on other teams. The general manager’s job is to make sure there are 70 players capable of playing. All other teams have done better with their injuries. Including the Patriots. Not Jason. Jason has failed miserably. On the other hand he’s saved a lot of money because he uses the draft.

  15. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Evans, Mauch, Irving, Godwin, Kancey, JMac and, as a bonus …Carl Nicks will be ready for playoffs…

  16. BucsFan81 Says:

They will make the playoffs by default cause this division is straight trash. Hopefully some of these guys get back soon.

  17. Cchead Says:

What good is Kancey if he can’t stay on the field. He’s been a bust. And 5 sacks or whatever is not a great accomplishment.

    ———–

7 1/2 sacks in 12 games for a DE in this style of defense is fantastic.

The guy is, at worst, a pro-bowl level player with an upside of being an ALL-PRO player.

But yeah, cut him, he’s a bust, so what if he’s only in his third year, we need to take him out to the pasture and put him down like Godwin, Evans, Cody, Bucky, everyone else that misses a game. If you can’t play 60 minutes for all 17 games, and every snap in the playoffs, you shouldn’t be in the NFL. You’re right! You changed my mind.

  19. FortMyersDave Says:

Rod, Kancey is a talent but he is worthless to the Bucs if he cannot stay healthy. So far, he has been a disappointment because he is so ****ing fragile. Could he have helped today? Absolutely.

  20. Bartow Buc Says:

Hold on everyone…….. I am reading posts trashing our division (NFC South) but, I recall a Super Bowl Champion from our division who went into the playoffs with an 11-6 record as a wildcard team. Oh yeah, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they won Super Bowl LV !!

Hang in there Bucs Fans !! Today’s loss was heartbreaking. But you never know what next week will bring !!

Go Bucs !! Beat the Bills !!

  21. Coconut Doughnut Says:

I’m not worried about Kancey when it comes to a contract year. Part time players get part time play!

  22. FortMyersDave Says:

Bucsfan81 is right, the Bucs will sneak into the playoffs as the #4 seed because the division is rotten. Carolina could only score 7 vs the Saints and Rah is doing what he does best in the ATL, helping the Falcons “falcon” to another loss. First team to 9 gets the division and the Bucs are the front runner simply because the other teams are coached even worse than the Bucs. Bowles could have had a strangle hold on the division with a win today but man, his D just grabbed its ankles allowing explosive plays in the second half yet I bet he will spout some lack of communication malarkey when questioned about this is the coming days. Buffalo is going to be angry after being boatraced by the Fins who ran the ball down their throat. Todd better have the lads ready or they will be going to LA 6-4 and the pitchforks will be out as Todd starts his mid season swoon a little bit late.

  23. Inwoodjeremy Says:

At 6-3 what is frustrating is I can’t see large scale improvement that has a measurement. Over the course of the season I saw Special Teams bad then get better. Defense gets gashed then gets better. Offense now has regressed. It just circles around where something is wrong in one of the phases. All three has not synched to full capibility. I can’t see all that as just being injured players. The 3 losses against good playoff teams seems like a preview to me.

  24. BUC4L Says:

Lmao Carl Nicks! We looked lackluster today but we are also missing all of our weapons. Just remember how the Eagles looked last year against us when they were missing their top WRs. They also went on to win the SB so go figure. Go Bucs!

  25. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

If we can get a bunch of our studs back, we can still make a deep playoff run!

  26. Mike Johnson Says:

Brasswell might be a Bust. Not sure about Kancey just yet. But He’s trending in that direction.

  27. Daryl Green Says:

No no we have championship def. Keep the 4-7 picks A/C.chunk plays double teaming EE we all talked about this.so let me get this straight we should have beat the that pats and now the bills lose a shocker and the Bucs are going to buffalo next week. U see I said it Damn

  28. Daryl Green Says:

    We just f it off

Vita was ‘lost for the season’ when the Bucs won the Super Bowl … only to come back in Green Bay.

To just write off your best players is nonsense. If he can come back for the playoffs, that’s huge.

If he can’t, then that sucks, but he’s back next year – under contract, and they’re not cutting him – he’s literally the best pass rusher on the team and it’s not particularly close.

  30. Buddha Says:

On this date in 2021, the Buccaneers lost their second straight game sandwiched by their bye and bringing their season record to 7-3. Later in the season, they lost at home to the Saints, 9-0 at homeThe NFL season is long and highly competitive. Who thought Saints over Panthers, Dolphins over Bills today or Panthers over Packers last week. This team has been ravaged by injuries. They played poorly and did not deserve to win. There are eight more games.

  31. Redzone Says:

Legit question- what does it say when an alleged top 5 GM does all the right things for 5 years and gets beat by a team who had 13 losses last year

What a turnaround by Vrabel, Maye (throwing to a washed Diggs and Mack Hollis lol?!) and that NE defense

This team has major problems and the biggest one is its reluctance to change

  32. Curse of Gruden Says:

A “Carl Nicks” reference by TBBF. Well done, sir.

  33. garbs65 Says:

I hate looking for positives after a loss. I get it. But it’s still a loss. Certainly I’m glad the Goedeke is back. But obviously there are several other deficiencies that are alarming. Baker is not healthy….regardless of what he says. It is most definitely affecting his play. Our receivers struggle to get open. Way too many holes in the defense. Did we get a sack today? I don’t think so. Jamal Dean should always be on the field. idc about giving whoever it is reps. Your best players have to be on the field.

  34. FortMyersDave Says:

Rod, lets get Kancey on the field and keep him there. I agree with you that he can make a difference IF he is on the field. He has not been.

  35. Cchead Says:

Never said cut Kancey. Just the “fact” their 18th overall pick can’t stay on the field amd is always hurt. He is a talent yes, but how does it help if he can’t play. Its a bust for JL until.its not.

  36. Rod Munch Says:

Cchead – If Kancey is a ‘bust’ then why would you want him on the team?
