Emeka Egbuka Looks Like A True No. 1 Receiver

November 9th, 2025

Yeah, there were a couple of silver linings today on the soggy, chopped up fields of The Licht House.

Joe has to start with rookie receiver Emeka Egbuka, finally back healthy from his hamstring hiccup.

Egbuka looked like his early-season self, racking up 6 catches for 115 yards and touchdown No. 6 of his career. The rookie did this against a top-flight secondary that was double-teaming him often. Egbuka found seams in zones and got open.

Yes, Joe realizes Egbuka had a horrendous drop in the red zone, a painful replay to watch. It happens. He still found a way to have a big day without having his best day.

No. 1 receivers are guys that can produce when they’re the focus of a pass defense. That was Ebuka today.

we did nothing with the trade deadline.Down 3 receivers, our best running back.Shame on us

Double E should be a good player for a long time. I was worried he got hurt on a play he got tackled out of bounds and landed weird on his arm. I hope Evans comes back for at least one more to really help EE. It would be so cool to have a healthy Evans, Godwin and EE go against a secondary….. couldn’t imagine what a coach would try and do to stop them. Then throw in Bucky….. they’d have to be named the greatest show on grass.

Mekatron is a star. Tez looks amazing also.

He did have a drive-killing drop, though on an easy 3rd-down out route.

But overall he does look really good.

Going to have draft another WR /TE early and often next year.
Without ME and CG Baker doesn’t have enough talent to threaten the opposing defenses

    #65 is trash

    Tez and tucker played well

    GO BUCS

  7. Dew Says:

We’re going to have to win our Division to make the playoffs.

  8. MF Bucs Says:

Now we need a No. 1 QB

  9. SB~LV Says:

Does Tez have 4 TD’s this year?

  10. BucVoyager Says:

If people actually watched the game, you can see that 1 or 2 players gained through trade was not going to help us win a Superbowl. Levonte David and Evans are gone next year and that means we’ll need those picks. We’ll probably need another person on the OL and CB. Let Licht handle his business and relax on the couch and watch football.

This is the best corner combo we’ll face this year, and for two rookies to have a combined 10-157-3, that’s a hell of a day, and a hell of a draft considering who they were going against.

And there’s till a lot of room for growth as well.

  12. Hammerhead Says:

Short QB throwing to Short wrist is a definite issue.

    Miss you Mike Evans.

  13. Hammerhead Says:

To short for a #1 reciever.

  14. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Egbuka is much better than both Evans and Godwin at this stage of their careers, because they are both on the downhill slide.

  15. Redzone Says:

Evans Godwin and McMillan careers are over so he’s gonna have to be LOL

Too bad – Licht needs 2 drafts to fill the holes his HC digs

To short for a #1 reciever.

    ——-

The top receivers in the NFL right now…

    #1 Smith-Njigba, 6′ 0″ 197 pounds.
    #2 Chase, 6′ 0″ 205
    #3 Puka, 6′ 2″ 212
    #4 George Pickens, 6′ 3″ 200
    #5 St Brown, 6′ 0″ 202
    #6 Jefferson, 6′ 1″ 195
    #7 London, 6′ 4″ 215
    #8 Egbuka, 6′ 1″ 205

There’s only 2 of 8 that are taller, and 2 of 8 that are shorter. In fact e2 is the literal average size of a #1 receiver.

BTW, if you compliment Falcons fans by saying London, when he has a good day, looks like a mini-Mike Evans – they get mad. Just a fun line to use if you know any.
