Money Game For Rachaad White
November 8th, 2025
While Bucs running back Bucky Irving simultaneously entertains and freaks out some fans on Instagram, Rachaad White will be the Bucs’ No. 1 back tomorrow for the fifth consecutive game (plus a bye week).
As it relates to White’s wallet, this has been a dream scenario. White, 26, is in a contract year and wants to show the NFL he can be a top-dog running back before free agency strikes. However, it hasn’t been to fruitful.
White is averaging 3.3 yards per carry over the past four games — with three rushing touchdowns and 13 catches for 83 yards. Ironically, that’s exactly what Irving was averaging per carry when he busted up his shoulder and foot.
White has another starting shot tomorrow against New England, which hasn’t allowed a running back to gain 50 yards all year. But Joe is confident the Bucs will make every attempt to hammer the ball against the Patriots and get the rushing attack going.
That represents a chance for White to impress the nation, especially with the Bucs-Pats game being the best matchup on tomorrow’s calendar. Joe expects White, refreshed from the bye week, to be running with a lot of fire and juice.
The Bucs are supposed to be a good rushing team. With right guard Luke Goedeke likely back in the lineup tomorrow, that should show up. If not, well, then maybe the Bucs don’t have it this season on the ground.

If both Luke’s can Man the Right side this Running game for this offense should pick up massively am Grizz can start pulling Guys like Liam did last year they got the Guys to be able to do that can y’all imagine if this team could have stayed healthy this year the WRs an OLine we 6-2 without many starting guys

White needs more opportunities catching passes.
His ability to weave through defenders and make guys miss for big plays in the semi-open field is exceptional.
More screens, please Grizz!
More check downs if White is open Baker.
Instead of throwing into so many tight windows downfield – especially while your top 3 WRs are still out – take the easy completion and let Rachaad work his magic.
Now that Luke is back – White and Otton should both be more available to catch passes.

Love Rashad, and Otten and I hope they have a big game for a Buccaneers big win!

He’s been looking slow coming out of the backfield, good in open space though

I think you meant Goedeke is at RT not RG.

Hard Rock has White +/- 43.5 yards rushing yards.
I Hope the oddsmakers are wrong and he has a breakout game.

This is the one game I do not see them trying to continually pound the run game for 3 yards of carry. I see over 40 passes. Maybe some screens, some quick slants… An extension of the run game.
This game is about the defense, continuing to play dominantly.
I see Maye being sacked five times
LFB!

White is so unimpressive running the ball he needs more touches in the passing game lol. The OL needs to help him out but hes an average runner.
I’d rather see more slants than screens so there’s more of a chance to get positive yards if the player is tacked immediately. Either way this team needs quick passing plays. Grizz seems to have one plan and if it doesn’t work then there’s no adjustments. We’ll see what happens…

At least once in the Atlanta game, the Patriot DTs lined up on the hash marks with six yards between them. The two ILB’s were five yards back lined up on the two tackles. DBs were lined up outside the hash marks. It looked like they were expecting a screen or an outside run, maybe.
The offense should look for that defensive set and have a play ready to call from the line. If the guards fire off the line to the inside shoulder of the DTs, and the center attacks one ILB, White should gain 3 or 4 yards before contact and fall forward for a couple more. And, if he breaks one tackle, he may take it to the house and write his next paycheck. It is even better if the play puts someone in motion just before the snap to crash on the other ILB.
Another time, the ball was placed on the hash mark with a DT lined up on the center. The OLB was lined up six yards away on the other hash mark. If the center gets the inside shoulder of the DT and the tackle gets the inside shoulder of the OLB, the Bucs should be looking at another great opportunity.
There is no guarantee that the Patriots will show those alignments against the Bucs. But, if they do, the Bucs should be ready to make them pay for the arrogance.

^ terrible take. White needs more touches in the passing game cuz he’s electric as a receiver out of the backfield.
He’s also the only RB we have that can actually pick up tough short yardage (when healthy).
Hopefully Grizz spent the bye week studying how Coen schemed up the run game last year.

In case there was doubt about whether White should remain on the roster, hows it go:”best ability is availability” he is solid, stronger than Bucky and good in the pass game as well. LFG Bucs

“White is so unimpressive running the ball he needs more touches in the passing game lol. The OL needs to help him out but hes an average runner.”
The catches are really just long hand offs.
That’s not even cliche, because the math backs it.
Every year of White career he’s finished in the negative in his avg depth of target.
White is an asset in space just like Pickgrin said.
Our problem is, the phase of our offense hes roster to prop up, he nor any other back has gotten much space to get themselves into more space.
Much easier to do it in the screen game, or using him as a check down or security blanket/outlet.
Even if it comes with him finishing every year with a few hundred yards in the negative in terms of his depth of target.
Meaning when you see him take a screen for 17-19 yards it’s technically an explosive, because if he has to catch the ball -3 yards behind the LOS White covering negative yardage.
That’s where the making a guy miss thing comes in, can’t do that if the C & RG are getting hip tossed into the backfield in a gap scheme.
Rachaad White is an asset for this offense. Stevie Wonder can see it.

I am team Rachaad all the way too, and hope he has a big game today.
MomBucsFan – Right on! We cannot forget about Otton too.

Would love to see Tucker as the lead back

We need speed. Feed Tucker.

Good Idea, but dispite Bucky being out for-ever (it seems) Tucker is barely being used. After Last years break-out game everyone was big on ucker getting more touches.
But here we are and Tucker is hardly seeing the ball. Wonder if he is performing so poor in practice Bowls doesn’t trust him?
