Emeka Egbuka Is “Full-Speed”

November 5th, 2025

Great news for the troubled Bucs offense.

Rookie sensation wide receiver Emeka Egbuka battled a hamstring issue in the past three games. His game clearly suffered. After a red hot start, Egbuka caught just 9 balls for 117 yards and no touchdowns in that stretch.

He needed a bye week. He got one, and today head coach Todd Bowles said Egbuka practiced at “full-speed.”

That’s fantastic news. “He looked like his normal self,” Bowles said.

It’s been hard enough for Egubka to operate as a No. 1 receiver taking on double teams. Doing that injured is a monumental task and he did it reasonably well; Baker Mayfield missed key throws in Egbuka’s direction.

Joe’s expecting a strong game from Egbuka on Sunday against the Patriots at The Licht House.

It is but defenses are keying to take him out. Shepherd, Tez, & Kam are all great but they need Godwin back healthy

  2. Stpetematt Says:

This plus Goedeke is HUGE. Look for the Bucs to knock the Patriots flat this week.

  3. Down Under Says:

Pats will smoke the Bucs 34-20

  4. Watch More All22 Without Commenting Says:

Stop repeating that Mayfield “missed key throws.” It’s not supported by the ALL22.

The ALL22 show Egbuka was at the incorrect spots and was running routes poorly while injured. If it were entirely Mayfield we’d see the timing and route issues with other receivers to the same degree, and we did not.

We saw some completely miscommunicated routes with Tez and Kam Johnson, but those are miscommunications, not overthrows. The so called overthrows to Egbuka were shown to be where the receiver was bumped off their routes.

We saw similar problems with McMillan last year, that the rookie fixed and they started connecting later season.

Down Under…we get you posters all the time…then when the Bucs win you disappear.

Obviously you are not a Bucs fan Down Under so why are you here?

I’m glad you aren’t calling it the den of depression anymore
That stopped the minute the Bucs managed to have a winning record in a season at home.–Joe

  9. Saskbucs Says:

Last year, we would have been toast in this game.

This year we have a competent defense and healthy secondary.

Sucks that it may be a road game for the offense depending on fan turnout but this is a winnable game. Gotta move Emeka around and get him away from Gonzalez.

BUC1987, Not everyone has been on this site for 20 yrs like you and has the time to post 50 times a day like you so yeah I am not on the internet as my life as you seem to me brother, but rock on whatever floats your boat

You can forget about Godwin impacting the game this season. He really needs another offseason to be back to himself. I don’t expect Evans and McMillan to help either. We have who we have.

  12. SB~LV Says:

It’s good to be young and able to heal fast!

  13. Stpetematt Says:

We have team doctors here and everything! All our great players will be back in the coming weeks except Mauch, BTW.

  14. Aqualung Says:

Only way is if the OL is fixed. Otherwise, Bru meets Tal.

  15. Marky mark Says:

Can we give Greene a shot?

  16. St.Pete Salty Buc Says:

Egbuka, Shep,Tez and Kam have to step up this second half. Let’s go BUCS! Get back on track Bake and show OUT!!!

  17. Marine Buc Says:

    Thank goodness for EE.

    Godwin and Evans are toast…

  18. Buckit Says:

“Marky”: I would love to see Greene get a shot. He looked pretty dang good in preseason. And have heard he is a good practice player too. Would love to see them bring him in at QB for a few wildcat plays. Need someone/something to spark the offense.

  19. 813bucboi Says:

Gonna need you to step up big time EE2!!!!

    GO BUCS

  20. mg Says:

E.E. at full speed will torch the secondary of the Pats.

  21. Warren Brooks Lynch Says:

Coming back healthy is good, but what I wish we had was Evans healthy so Egkbuka could keep getting those 1on1 match ups. I don’t want him to be forced fed just because he can go full speed. Grizzard has got to start getting the other guys like Miller, Johnson & Johnson, more involved in the pass game.

I’d like to think if you can get one of those guys going it also takes some attention away from Egbuka, which in turn kind of frees everyone else up.

Still think Egbuka can fill the stat sheet up and play well enough to be OROY. Same for Parrish on the defensive side.
