Four Bucs Ruled Out Of Saints Game
October 24th, 2025No surprises from Todd Bowles after working with his team this afternoon at One Buc Palace.
Vita Vea (foot) will be questionable but is expected to play. Joe hopes the hard turf at the Slimy Saints’ home isn’t a problem for Vea.
Ruled out with injuries are edge rush coach and player Haason Reddick, Bucky Irving, Chris Godwin and guard Luke Haggard. Joe was hoping Haggard (shoulder) would make it back after what right guard Michael Jordan showed against the Lions.
Monday was Jordan’s first game back starting from a knee injury and it didn’t look so pretty. Haggard had looked good in his games starting at right guard for injured No. 1 guard Cody Mauch.

Win be it pretty or ugly and take the next 8 days off
October 24th, 2025 at 1:00 pm
i get uneasy when bucs face an offensive minded play caller as head coach
October 24th, 2025 at 1:16 pm
This will be another tough game. A division, conference, away game is never easy. Go Bucs! Make it happen!!
October 24th, 2025 at 1:23 pm
Thought Klein looked good at RG…
just get the W
GO BUCS!!!!
October 24th, 2025 at 1:31 pm
What is the story with our G position?
Jordan was decent at LG. Then we swing him sides and shocker, he looks terrible.
Guy didn’t even make the 53.
Meanwhile, RG Klein on the roster can’t get on the field? Dan Feeney is a warm practice body…
Maybe this stuff happens all over the league but as a fan following the Bucs, I don’t understand it.
October 24th, 2025 at 1:34 pm
Maybe Jordan looked good at LG because he was playing between Bredeson and Barton. Little more exposed when you have Heck on the other side now. Just a thought.
October 24th, 2025 at 1:48 pm
Logical point KC Buc. Which means that at this point he’s not that good and needs to be protected.Maybe put him between Wirfs and Barton on the left side and put Brendon at right guard.
October 24th, 2025 at 2:02 pm
Now that would make too much sense Oscar.
Problem is I think whoever you put there gets exposed by Heck.
We need Goedeke back is the worst way.
Get that RT we have now the heck out of here.
October 24th, 2025 at 2:04 pm
the key is to pressure spencer he will throw pics!! go bucs!!
October 24th, 2025 at 2:11 pm
What about Dan feeney? Why isn’t he starting?
October 24th, 2025 at 2:18 pm
As far as pressuring Rattler, I might point out that 4 of the Saints starting offensive lineman are former 1st Round Draft Picks. And they are all healthy…
October 24th, 2025 at 2:22 pm
Why is Klein on the roster if the coaches won’t play him?
October 24th, 2025 at 2:27 pm
hopefully Bowles is out too
October 24th, 2025 at 2:31 pm
I hope Grizz and Baker figure out how to beat the spy. Lions would not allow him to move out of the pocket and create plays without someone in his face.
October 24th, 2025 at 2:51 pm
Injuries are part of the game. They definitely aren’t an excuse for playing poorly. Luckily we’re not yet halfway through the season. Because if we want to beat anybody else on our schedule we’re going to need to get better. On offense. On defense. On special teams. If we don’t get better than last week New Orleans will beat us.
October 24th, 2025 at 2:52 pm
Going into the bye week with two consecutive losses is unfortunate but not surprising since the Bucs “not-a-head-coach” is preparing them for the Annual Bowles Swoon. It’s kind of like a festival, only with nothing festive about it except lame excuses.
October 24th, 2025 at 2:54 pm
Jordan has now been called up 3 times – so he can’t go back on the practice squad…
Is Feeney slow in learning the offense? He’s a vet and you would assume the Bucs picked him off the Bills practice squad and gave him a roster spot for a reason…. Wasn’t that reason last week????
And the Klein situation is confusing as well – he’s was assigned initially as the primary swing Guard and has been protected since week 1 on the 53 man roster. Yet Klein’s only playing time thus far has been as an in game substitute for Haggard who got hurt….. When ever there has been a starting guard spot up for grabs (basically every game this year) – Klein has been bypassed in favor of practice squaders Jordan and Haggard…. Weird…. I guess he’s just not ready??
October 24th, 2025 at 2:58 pm
NOLA doesn’t have a monster like Hutchinson. Big difference. Bucs will be keeping an eyeball on the refs cos they need to outwit them. Good point about those draft picks, @Kayla. This will be a fight. GO BUCS!! You bet I’ll be listening to the BR posse.
October 24th, 2025 at 3:43 pm
As dirty as the Saints play, I’m concerned Bucs will have a couple of injuries during the game
October 24th, 2025 at 3:48 pm
Carl Granderson no slouch – a lot riding on this game and in the past it’s the kind they lose – here’s hoping they dominate bc everyone else has
October 24th, 2025 at 3:57 pm
This is a true must win game going into the buy and then hopefully we get healthy for the stretch run.
October 24th, 2025 at 3:57 pm
I meant “bye.”
October 24th, 2025 at 4:01 pm
I still consider New Orleans to be a ‘must-win game’. Going into the BYE at 6-2 and atop the NFC South is far better than going in at 5-3, on a 2-game losing streak, and potentially tied with Atlanta or Carolina.
Our defense is pretty much intact, except that we’ve lost Kancey & now Reddick. Neither one was setting the world on fire when we lost them, so hopefully their replacements play at least as well as they did.
Offensively though we’re fielding a much different team than we did in Game 1. Gone is Mauch, Goedeke, Evans, Godwin, Irving as starters plus McMillan as a key substitute. That’s over half of the offense that we started with. Our saving grace IMO has been Baker Mayfield, and what he’s been able to accomplish with substitute players. Hopefully that continues on Sunday.
October 24th, 2025 at 4:10 pm
Jordan was the teams best offensive lineman in the first two games, so hopefully he just had a bad game and it’s a one off.
Also keep in mind he was moved from RG to LG – that could have had something to do with it as well. I know he’s a vet, but I don’t know if he’s had a lot of experience at both guard spots, so it’s possible that could have been an issue as well if it wasn’t something he’s played in a while. But in any case, based on his first two games, I think he’ll fine.
October 24th, 2025 at 4:17 pm
Klein looks like a player. Put him out there and let him play.

Based on what? He looked pretty bad in the preseason where they mostly played him at center. I think he’s better at guard, but nothing as blown me away. Not down on him, to be sure, he was out of position at center and they just wanted to get him snaps, and I’d never bet against a Licht draft pick, but saying he has looked like a player – I just haven’t seen that yet.
October 24th, 2025 at 4:35 pm
I don’t mean to be harsh, but only teams that are desperate and very under-staffed at key positions have this kind of talk. The backups are just awful. Terribly deficient skill-wise. The Bucs may make it to the playoffs but that’s another one and done. Licht has been great picking starters but awful getting skilled backups on Oline, Dline, LB. What we are seeing is proof. And, he is as stubborn as any HC. Nothing will be done as the trade deadline passes.
October 24th, 2025 at 5:02 pm
Gotta get the W against the Saints who always play us tough.
6-2 going into the bye would be very good.
Still, I just don’t see this team doing anything substantial with all these injuries and poor depth. Hope I’m wrong.
Go Bucs!
October 24th, 2025 at 5:20 pm
HEY JOES!
So we signed WR Brandon Johnson?
October 24th, 2025 at 5:23 pm
Nothing huge i guess, just signed to the practice squad….but looks like we’ll use him once he’s got the play book down.
October 24th, 2025 at 5:36 pm
Bucs need to win EVERY divisional game. It’s doable. And definitely a necessity if they want a high playoff seeding.
October 24th, 2025 at 6:55 pm
How healthy is Baker? Should we consider starting Bridgewater? No indication that will happen. Will 8 days be enough for Baker to heal from a couple of “minor” ailments?
Go Bucs!!
October 24th, 2025 at 7:09 pm
3 Johnson’s at WR?
October 24th, 2025 at 7:28 pm
Tampa/New Orleans is like Philly/NY Giants as far asrivalries go. Did everyone see how flat Philly looked in that loss 2 weeks back? I hope the Bucs and Bowles did, not a time to just assume the Bucs breeze to a win….
October 24th, 2025 at 8:40 pm
Not counting 13 and others on IR
October 24th, 2025 at 9:20 pm
I hate the Saints!
October 25th, 2025 at 8:05 am
Rattle Rattler.
October 25th, 2025 at 8:07 am
Saints should try their draft pick QB. They Brown’s care doing that.
October 25th, 2025 at 9:31 am
I hate the Saints, too. Cheap shots on hard turf in an ugly stadium.
October 25th, 2025 at 12:11 pm
BucfaninMi – good point. You can never have too many healthy Johnsons.
October 25th, 2025 at 12:26 pm
Rattler is like a poor man’s Baker. Has the feistiness but lacks the talent, and looks like an alien.
