Rich Eisen: Bucs Have “Tremendous Chance” To Win Super Bowl
October 21st, 2025
Still a believer.
The way the Bucs’ offense got slapped around by a team that was both physical and motivated, do the Bucs still have a chance to make a Super Bowl run?
One prominent man in the Fourth Estate, Rich Eisen, has not lost faith. Yeah, he said, it stinks out loud that the Bucs lost Mike Evans, maybe for the season. But as Eisen points out, losing Evans is not why the Bucs lost last night in Detroit.
The Bucs lost because their offensive line was owned by the Lions, especially in the fourth quarter.
Eisen’s peanut gallery sort of scoffed. How can the Bucs win the Super Bowl without Evans? Fair question.
But Eisen still believes last night was a blip. Get Bucky Irving back, get Luke Goedeke back, and that’s a different Bucs offense.
You can see the full clip below.

Last night was where I felt Bucky was really missed in the pass game
October 21st, 2025 at 2:04 pm
Getting a ring this season is absolutely still in the cards. I can’t wait for the Lions rematch in the NFC champ game. The overreaction today has been wild.

Rich has optimism on every team…love him but wouldn’t really take his sunshine pumping for much.
October 21st, 2025 at 2:05 pm
They just need to trust the run game though, can’t just run 11 times. They ran 5 times in the 1st half when it was 0-7
October 21st, 2025 at 2:06 pm
Joe, do we know when Bucky will be back in the lineup? McMillan? Goedeke? Hopefully, at least a couple of those guys will be back after the bye and Egbuka will be at full speed again.
October 21st, 2025 at 2:08 pm
Rich is one of the good guys in the media…and is generous about the Bucs. A team needs a lot of luck/good fortune to win a Super Bowl.
Bucs definitely need Bucky back…as early as vs The Saints ( although that’s unlikely ). Bucky is built to play on artificial turf…many Bucs aren’t.
The Saints will give the Bucs all they can handle on Sunday…they’ll be motivated to pile on…don’t let the 1-6 record give you a false sense of confidence. It’ll take a huge effort to beat them. Taysum Hill always has a big play or two vs them…and Kamara ain’t washed just yet.
October 21st, 2025 at 2:12 pm
Not with this defense
October 21st, 2025 at 2:19 pm
Are we supposed to trust Rich over the Todd trolls ?
C’mon…. Our trolls are very knowledgeable – they’ve played the game (probably not), they’ve been on and worked with high level teams (again, not), they know football words like (soft) zone and man to man 🤣🤣🤣
Surely they know more than anyone else 🤡

Maybe a WR will Waddle his way up to Tampa after Licht makes a trade?
October 21st, 2025 at 2:50 pm
Well the Bucs did win the week 6 power poll, and had the NFL MVP through week 6, so the Bucs are sort of a big deal and clearly the favorite to win the SB.
October 21st, 2025 at 2:52 pm
DS
i agree…
GO BUCS!!!!
October 21st, 2025 at 3:00 pm
They ere saying yesterday, that Waddle was off the table. Though, I don’t know why the hell they would not want to move him and THAT contract. Cause, he’s hurt all the damn time. I don’t want him. Not worth it.
October 21st, 2025 at 3:04 pm
I’d love to have Waddle, you can never have too many WR’s as the Bucs have proven year after year as they always seem to lose guys. With that said, if the Bucs were to trade, it’s going to be for a defensive lineman, LB or edge rusher.
Go talk to the Raiders, try to get Crosby – and have them throw in Devin White, who has been playing excellent this year for them. He’d be an immediate upgrade over Dennis.
October 21st, 2025 at 3:30 pm
It’s nice that Eisen loves him some Baker Mayfield. But — Rich! Cmon, man! You’re forgetting an important point.
The Bucs have no head coach. Only coordinators. This has now been demonstrated to the world, again, on a nationally televised embarrassment for the ages.
October 21st, 2025 at 3:32 pm
This team is NOT winning a Super Bowl with this personnel.
Our Defense just isn’t good enough despite the occasional decent stretches of play.
And that right side of our O-Line would have to be fixed. Goedeke would have to come back and truly ball out. But even so, Right Guard is still a major problem. Jordan had his man run right by him on some plays last night.
Bucs would need to trade for a stud pass rusher like Hendrickson. We should have done the same deal for Micah.
Without a game-wrecker pass rusher, we just don’t get enough consistent pressure when rushing four. We’re too dependent on blitzes to get pressure.
October 21st, 2025 at 3:41 pm
I don’t see it. This is another Wild Card or maybe Division Round loser. Too many holes.
Grizzard is out of his depth and could not make in game adjustments. Baker can’t bail him out every week. Baker hasn’t shown he can take over the playoffs either. The Lions exposed both with mediocre DBs.
The defense badly needs LBs. Dennis is a bad liability in coverage and open field tackling. I think Bowles should move Dennis to be a stand up pass rusher. He can’t cover running backs.
October 21st, 2025 at 4:13 pm
Thank you Joe! I totally agree with Eisen!
October 21st, 2025 at 4:15 pm
spin spin spin. rat poison. the organization who showed up in detroit last night isnt going to the super bowl this year. too many holes in the playbook and the roster.
if the bucs got everyone back (except mike and goedeke) but they still have problems with fundamentals, communication, and mental lapses, are they super bowl bound?
October 21st, 2025 at 4:35 pm
Realistically’ unless the pass rush is significantly improved
They re probably right where they were last year. 10 win
Season. A division title tie breaker goes to us. But we get
Bounced in the first round. Baker had a bad game monday
Night it happens. Irvin and goedecke come back will help.
But until that pass rush improves games will be tight with the
Offensive treading water.
October 21st, 2025 at 5:03 pm
This team needs an elite pass rusher. Ridick was a dream and now a fart in the wind. Also after last night’s game what is Bowles all time prime time record now???
October 21st, 2025 at 5:05 pm
i still think you still snag kyzir white if you can…
he’s currently on the titans PS
October 21st, 2025 at 6:21 pm
Todd Bowles will NEVER win a SB as HC. Never gonna happen.
October 21st, 2025 at 7:28 pm
Good Grief. After that performance this. A fractured Fairy Tale.
October 21st, 2025 at 8:34 pm
Keep believing in Todd. the Bucs will never get beyond the first round.
He is the 500 king.
Too dumb to outcoach a JV team. Too slow to make critical in game decisions, too loyal to his favorites that should never play a snap in the NFL.
We recently got out of the lost decade and we are now in the under performing decade. It’s a shame this team of all-pros, HoFers, and talent rookies will never taste a championship run while Todd is in charge.
It is a disgrace.
Keep settling for mediocrity while our championship window is wide open. Can’t wait to win another NFC South crown against the worst teams in the NFL.
October 21st, 2025 at 8:35 pm
Can’t wait to induct Todd Bowles in the ring of honor.
Won five NFC South Championships. Yippie.
October 21st, 2025 at 8:36 pm
I hate reading the negativity. Do you remember how we got trashed by the AINTS the year we won the Super Bowl? Last night we were better than that. Mayfield was either sick, slightly injured, or just an off game. This defense is stout. We could use another edge rusher. I’m worried about Dennis going down, but like most other teams…if we can get healthy we’ll be hard to beat. That being said Atlanta and Carolina are both playing tough. We need to be ready every game.
Last night we got beat by a very motivated team and we were definitely not up for it. Our coach, our offense and our defense are great. We should compete in every game.
October 21st, 2025 at 8:54 pm
If Mayfield isn’t seriously injured—-he’ll never admit it—look for him to have a huge game against NO. The film of Detroit game is going to reveal how badly the right side of the line got pushed around last night. More than the right side, Barton got pushed around in the middle. We will see if the O line has enough pride to rally Sunday. My guess is they do and they will.
October 21st, 2025 at 11:00 pm
More Pom poms won’t hide reality. The team has a good roster aside from LVD and then nothing at LB. The big hole is the lack of a head coach.
October 21st, 2025 at 11:33 pm
We had a bad game. There’s no sugarcoating it. But that doesn’t mean we have no chance to go all the way. This is a good talented team. Do we need to make adjustments? Of course. But let’s all calm down a little.
October 22nd, 2025 at 8:55 am
You know I really must be a throwback. I remember the old NFL Championship games. The cities hosting them never had a problem with scheduling. The home game was determined by the team with the best overall regular season record. Sports TV/radio has no problems with scheduling either. So why this S(t)upid Bowl? Was it needed? No. It’s all plastic nonsense that supposedly shows good (?) commercials. Only the usual suspects with big $$ and/or connections attend. I would NOT go even if given a ticket. I stop following football after the Conference Championships. Pet rant. I appreciate Eisen and Baldinger’s appreciation for our team. But, no Stupid Bowl this year, guys. Too much Buc Luck.
