Bucs The Best Team?
October 15th, 2025
Baker Mayfield will be fine.
Joe is still stunned by this and it seems folks who work at the Mouse Outfit are, too.
And there’s nothing like building content on content you have artificially manufactured.
On the weekday morning show on BSPN “Stay in Bed,” a gaggle of analysts debated if the Bucs really are the No. 1 team in the land. Mike Greenberg seemed to think so.
The consensus was the Bucs have learned how to win close games with backups. That’s a good thing. And that should really help them down the stretch when the Bucs are healthier and playing games that could directly determine their playoff seeding, or the actual playoff games themselves.
Dan Graziano noted people forget the Bucs are going for a five-peat as the NFC South champs. Greenberg noted the core of the Bucs’ Super Bowl-winning season in 2020 is still on the team. So it is not like the Bucs have been totally rebuilt.
All of this stems from the near-unbelievable power ranking BSPN gave the Bucs as being the No. 1 team in the NFL after six weeks.

That’s nice
It’s Week 6 — eleven games to go
Let’s see who is ranked No. 1 in January

It’s a nice thought!….
Popularity contest at this point….
It’s the end of the season that matters …
Literally anything can happen to the Bucs season…
Once the Bucs were 9-3 and lost all their remaining games!!!
Need a better defense to legit be best team!

Agreed.
Keep Detroit to under 20 like the Chiefs and then we can revisit.
Offense can be the best when healthy.
Then there is the not so special teams. Who are we actually kidding with that.

Fingers crossed for this special 50th season. Is it destiny?. Biggest challenge is injuries and bad refs. I still blame the refs for giving L.A. an advantage in Brady’s second year. Go Bowles!

Irrelevant. Improve in the areas needed. Keep Baker from getting maimed against Hutchinson.

When they are healthy, yes. At least one of the best 3-4 teams in the league.
I don’t like the smell of +5.5 this week. Every week is a test, this is another big one. These next 2 games could tell us definitively. 7-1 at the bye, hopefully gettin healthy by then… look out.

NEWSFLASH:
Kyle Trask works out for the 5-1 Indianapolis Colts.

let’s not jump too far ahead…everything is freakin’ wonderful right now…..before the detroit game in front of a national audience…
we are only like 38% into the season…6 of 17…and all the mvp talk is swirling for baker…
just think of it like this for one minute…
how many times do you see the mlb all-star team riddled with all these players who have an outstanding first half of the season, only to tank and plummet their way thru the 2nd half like a double A baseball prospect – and in the end put up less than stellar numbers……it happens all the time…all the f’in time…
so hang on tight and let’s hope we don’t hit the ole todd bowles roller coaster ride…we need smooth sailing for the final 11…
just think like this…if we go 6-5 from here out we win 11…
if we go 7-4……we win 12…
and if we go 8-3……we win 13…
12 or 13 could actually be on the table…
and if we are really dragon slayers, 14-3 could even be in the cards…
as long as the fabulous baker boys keep on rolling

Well well well guess who”s #1 in the quarterback power rankings and who is #3? Baker isn’t #3, Patrick Mahomes has that locked down. So….I guess that only leaves our quarterback to be #1. Several years ago I made the statement that Baker was as good as Mahomes and a couple on here acted like they were gut shot, or i was. Well I guess this proves one thing and that is that Baker, through 6 games, IS better than Mahomes.😂
The best part is Baker is just beginning to get a good command of this offense. It will take another year or so for him to get “total” command of it and he will continue to get better as he becomes more and more acquainted with the system. On average it takes 2-3 years, Baker has been learning it for a little over a year now I believe. The bottom line is, he will continue to get better and so will the Buccaneers.

Authentic Bucs fans care next to nothing about national media contrived hype. Whether it be good or bad is meaningless. When they win their second playoff game that’s when the national hype becomes real. Every victory between now and then belongs to the players and the fans that bleed pewter and red, rain or shine.

We were all thinking with the injuries and schedule that 3-3,, Maybe 4-4 at the bye would be about right ,,, playing with house money this week

This Buc offense has been a quick strike deep ball offense. When Ebuka gets healthy and MicMillan is back in the lineup with Evans the passing game will be even better. 4 receiver sets with Sheppard in there and Tez rotating will be impossible to defend.
It appears Godwin will be the odd man out unless he is able to recover his cutting ability. For the near term Chris is a luxury. Having the you legs of Ebuka, Nohnson and McMillan negates Chris in this vertical offense of Grizzard.
Now that the film is out opposing defenses have to respect the deep ball with safeties not being able to sneak up to blitz or defend the run.
With all the deep pressure on defense when Baker scrambles he will have green grass ahead.
Detroit couldn’t stop Atlanta so there is an opportunity for an even better Buc offense to do some damage and score points.
Bucs will have plenty of corners available for this game, just keep St Brown and LaPorta in check. We havnt played a team with an elite tight end until this week. Bowles needs to give help on LaPorta, he’s got great hands and size.

Speaking of ref’s the Chiefs didn’t have a penalty called against them the entire game against Detroit. That’s laughable if it wasn’t so obvious the NFL are KC’s golden boys. Pathetic.

Richardson being dumped v for Trask? Is the,age of the Quarter Running Back over? The realization that Richardson kept getting hurt and runners decay with age. Brady and Baker getting better with age shows a throw first QB with an occasional scramble is the,way to go.
October 15th, 2025 at 6:58 am
Yea with some team’s by oh you have to beat the refs too. The key is to get a lead early and extend it.
October 15th, 2025 at 8:23 am
Typical overreaction by fans & media. Did they play well on Sunday? Yes. Have they played consistently well in any other game this season? No.
Offense, defense, special teams, coaching. There are teams that are superior to the Bucs in most phases of the game.
The only unit on this team that’s been decent to this point has been the offense.

I sure hope the players don’t read what is posted on this site.
