Tristan Wirfs: Seattle Heckler Who Ran Smack On Baker Mayfield “Wasn’t Very Good”

October 10th, 2025

Bad hecklers make Tristan Wirfs wince.

We’ve all seen the video of Baker Mayfield getting into it with a Seattle heckler before Sunday’s game and then afterward, Mayfield came right back at the same guy to rub his nose in dirt.

Scoreboard, b!tch!

Joe can only imagine what players hear on the road. But to hear Tristan Wirfs, players respect hecklers who can bring it. But the guy in Seattle? He’s got no game, said the Bucs’ left tackle.

Apparently, the Seattle heckler is a season ticketholder and players from around the league are aware of him. And apparently so was Bucs security as Wirfs said Bucs players were tipped off about him before the game.

As it turned out, Wirfs said he was nothing to worry about because he was so lame.

“He didn’t have anything,” Wirfs said yesterday at One Buc Palace. “Like his material was sh!t. It was brutal.”

Wirfs said he has no issue with hecklers on the road so long as they can bring it. The guy in Seattle couldn’t.

“If you are going to be a heckler, you’ve got to step your game up,” Wirfs said. “And ‘Bake’ just kind of let him know that. It was pretty cool. It was pretty cool.

“[Hecklers], that’s part of the game,” Wirfs said. “That guy just wasn’t very good at it. … He just kind of sucked at it.”

Joe was told by a trusted Bucs source this guy is sort of a professional heckler who has been around for years and is known in NFL circles. Joe also saw a clip on YouTube of former NFL defensive end Chris Long, who for years played for the Rams and dealt with the guy each season when the Rams played in Seattle.

On the “Inner Circle Podcast,” Matty Ice and Aaron Donald cracked up watching Mayfield handle the guy and both said they knew exactly who Mayfield was jawing with.

The heckler got to be such a joke for Long that when he knew he was about to retire, he posed for a picture with the Seattle heckler.

Heckling Baker is like handling Nitroglycerin roughly-it is going to blow up in your face………..

Some fans as well as keyboard warriors are just flat out chickens***. Would NEVER say s*** to a players face. Would love to see one of them get Tyson-ed like that idiot on the plane that went too far. And then get nothing cause they ran their moth and tried to sue the guy. SMH

Heckle people? Particularly NFL players? I don’t get it. Guess its like the Trolls on chat forums. LOL I really think what drives them is kinda sick.

Wirfs is not wrong but one day this dude is gonna come up against the wrong one having a bad day.

    Go Bucs!

  5. KABucs Says:

Yeah, he was pretty brave way up there out of Baker’s reach. LOL
Seems like all he did was yell “you suck” over and over again, which is definite evidence of the fact that he sucked. Honestly he didn’t have a lot of material to work with. Baker is playing lights out and had one of his best games ever just prior to that pickling event. How do you tell somebody they suck when they just dismantled your defense? The heckler should have been heckling our defense… maybe anybody doing kickoff coverage? LOL

  6. Aqualung Says:

Thanks Joes! That article made my morning. Still laughing, fortunately I was out of coffee when I read it.

    Bake heckles Ira in pressers

  9. Bucnjim Says:

Kind of like Eagles fans. If they’re not acting like A$$holes then they aren’t happy. There is a culture of NFL fans that takes a lot of pride in that.

  10. Stuck with Green Says:

I mean, I’d give the heckler a chance but for someone like Hurts, Winston, Rodgers or Flacco. Baker seems near untouchable to me.

Hecklers are just a bunch of bloviating show-offs who want attention. I ignore them. However, one day one of the loudmouthed yahoos will pick on the wrong guy at the wrong time. Then BAM! Too bad. Go Bucs!!

  13. dls5492 Says:

Area Code girl seems triggered. It’s unhealthy to obsess, especially when there is no grasp of or connection to reality. There is medication for cramps though, if that’s really it.

  18. KABucs Says:

Hecklers do their team a huge disservice when they heckle somebody that’s actually good. Why light a fire under somebody who has a potential to blow you up?
I wonder if fellow fans and his friends are giving him a ton of grief after that (assuming he has any friends, and that’s a huge assumption).

  19. GoneGator Says:

“If you are going to be a heckler, you’ve got to step your game up,” Wirfs said.

Correct, and that goes for this message board as well. I love talking trash and get a huge amount of enjoyment from people who do it well, even if I’m the focus of it. But that almost never happens and 99.9% of people are dullards who are completely uninteresting. But every once in a while on here someone will hit me with a great comeback that makes me laugh, and it’s fantastic. So people, listen to Wirfs, and try harder – do better – stop embarrassing yourselves.

  22. Kev@Inverness Says:

“Bowles is worried that Trask might look good”, said Rod Muncher, who by the way, never embarrasses his uberinteresting self.

  23. Davyboy Says:

Yes Munch. I bet you love being proved wrong on about 95% of what you say. It’s human nature to like looking bad and like you have no clue about football talent on a football blog site. You like looking bad about as much as you don’t read the comments huh? I guess next you’ll tell us that Baker cant hit the hole before it closes because he’s too slow….oh wait you’ve already said that and then Baker went and led the league in scrambling for first downs. it never ends 🙄

  24. matthew a veal Says:

im not a big heckler but i got a chance to do it in a gator victory against lsu back in the day (late 80s) the guy took it well but we exchanged glances. later he died in a car wreck during his nfl career.

i had some fun that day at a time in my life where the ladies were causing more misery than anything else, so it was a “take that, mean ole world” moment for me. sounds like the players are strong enough mentally not to get bothered, and if the guy is now in heaven i hope the 1997 gators losing to lsu when we were #1 in the country was enough and its over.

heckling on a regular basis seems nutty though.

  25. gp Says:

Something tells me that this guys viewership went up exponentially just because of this story on JBF.
    One day spike!
