It’s Official; No Bucky Irving On Sunday.
October 3rd, 2025
Todd Bowles talks Sean Tucker.
Stud Bucs running back Bucky Irving will miss his first career game Sunday in Seattle. The Bucs made that official today.
His messed up ankle will need more time.
That means a very hearty dose of Rachaad White against the Seahawks and more Sean Tucker, plus the debut in the Bucs offense of undrafted rookie running back Josh Williams.
Joe asked Bowles about Tucker today, a guy the head coach said multiple times last year needs more touches in the offense. Joe wanted to know if Bowles, before this week, thought Tucker needed more looks.
“I still feel that way but it’s hard to do when you’ve got Bucky and Rachaad sittin’ right there,” Bowles replied. “You know, I didn’t say it was fair. I just said, ‘He needs more touches. I’d like [him] to have more touches.’ But the other two guys deserve their touches, as well. It’s just one of them good problems to have as a coach.”
Tucker has one carry for two yards this season, and he’s been subpar on kick returns. Joe looks for Tucker to get a couple of series on Sunday, at least.
Joe hopes Williams grabs Tucker’s role as a kick returner. He flashed there in preseason.

I said it before the season, they was going to run him in the ground. They have Rachad White, Sean Tucker, use them also. Everyone talking about Bucky getting over 2,000 total yards from scrimmage. Burt they don’t realize the facts..
Bucky is not a BellCow RB
And he never will be one

Joe hopes Williams takes Tucker’s place on kickoffs. I hope Williams is good enough to take both White, and Tuckers place. White is fine when he gets going, but he doesn’t have that first quick burst. To many times he gets tripped up before he can get going. Bucky, Tuck, Williams have that quick burst. Fool everybody, give Williams some touches on offense Sunday. Let’s see what we got. White will be a FA next season. Need to see if Williams can replace him. Now’s a good time to get him some game experience. We might be happy we did.

RW1, ST44, and JW18 will do fine. This is another winnable game!! The Buc’s need to start fast!! Maybe use the hurry up offense and throw a wrench into Seattle’s D!! Set up the run with short quick passes! Mix in run and some deep shots too! Get it done !!

This has L written all over it…west coast trip…banged up pretty bad…might get ugly tbh
October 3rd, 2025 at 1:12 pm
RW1 Should get more touches he is better this year he is quicker and more well rounded

Something still doesn’t add up about this injury. Odd that he injured it bad enough to miss week 5 and possibly longer. Odd that he continued to play on said injury. Odd the radio silence about said injury. Everything very ‘odd’
October 3rd, 2025 at 1:32 pm
As I recall, Tucker was flashing well last year when he had his chances. Unfortunately we haven’t seen him much this season, other than kickoff returns. Hopefully, Tuck is chomping at the bit to show us some of his moves !!
Go Bucs !! Beat the Seahawks!!
October 3rd, 2025 at 1:36 pm
White and Tucker will be just fine, the problem is the offensive line is still half missing and the others are still getting the rust off.
Seattle defense is tough but I’m not too concerned about them offense. I am mainly concerned about the defense with Dean and Morrison out.
October 3rd, 2025 at 1:40 pm
Let’s go RW. Opportunity for our depth at RB to show up and show out.
October 3rd, 2025 at 1:40 pm
Sucks but not overly worried….White has shown a lot so far. Don’t think we were winning this game anyway. Get him better for the rest of the season
October 3rd, 2025 at 1:55 pm
Bucs already 4 1/2 point underdogs.
October 3rd, 2025 at 2:00 pm
with the beating he took last week this is a hardly a shock.
white will show everyone why he isnt getting resigned. probably a drop pass or two or a fumble for those that forgot.
tucker might get a chance for more than the odd run and really make a dent in some people when they try to tackle him over and over and over. make them pay sean.
October 3rd, 2025 at 2:20 pm
Rest up Bucky. I would sit him until we play Detroit. Hopefully Evans will be back that game also.
October 3rd, 2025 at 2:29 pm
Hawks 37 Buccaneers 20

I know Joe likes to diss Tucker, but he’s number 8 in the NFL in kick return yardage. And that with a special team whose blocking has come into question.

Not really his ankle foot was twisted on the fumble clear to see and you can see some pain on Bucky face during the replays. Called adrenaline same way Purdy played through week 1 injuries and has not been able to play or play well last week.

The problem with Tucker, to my eyes, is that he has straight line speed and some toughness but he’s not elusive enough. On well blocked runs where it’s get the ball and go he’s good…. Could easily see him house an outside zone run BUT he’s not shown he has any/many moves to avoid defenders.
I thought Williams looked as good or better than Tucker in preseason but it’s hard to know.
I trust the TEAM of coaches and staff…. They’ve watched these guys live and on film for 100s of hours.
October 3rd, 2025 at 3:19 pm
I’m sad that I won’t be able to chant “BUCKY, BUCKY, BUCKY” at the game on Sunday, but looking forward to a big day from Rachaad!! Maybe even a saints like performance from Tucker. GO BUCS!!
October 3rd, 2025 at 3:28 pm
Like that is a surprise? Dimwit Grizzard ran this poor guy into the ground against the eaglets. Hope Grizzard gets tasered and wakes up. That will give the Bucs a chance to go 4-1.
October 3rd, 2025 at 3:38 pm
Geez! This season is already looking doomed. I’ll watch, and I’ll still root for my Bucs, but this seems to be a yearly thing with us. And for those that say injuries are a normal part of football, I say shaddup! The rate at which we have injuries is not sustainable, and it seems to be our biggest problem every year. More so than other teams. I don’t know what injury bug got put into the water in Tampa, but it’s not helping things. At this rate, we could lose the south. Anyways, uh, go Bucs.

61% snap count against eagles
Got hurt on a hip drop tackle…not usage!
Bucky is capable of a 70% share.
Game script dictates usage.
Check out the injuries from around the league.
Insulting the coaching from your mom’s basement…priceless 😉
Let’s go Bucs!
October 3rd, 2025 at 5:59 pm
BUCDADDY: We did not win the NFC So. last time we won the SB. Saints did with Sean Payton, and we kicked the crap out of them.
October 3rd, 2025 at 6:03 pm
Amazing seeing all the crybabies claims about running Bucky into the ground.
All the same people that wanted White not being number one. Bucky could have been injured on any play in the game. Just like anyone else. And of course had he not been in you people would be crying about that too. Had he broken away and not fumbled the ball you wouldn’t have had a word to say.
October 3rd, 2025 at 7:26 pm
Bucs can still win, but Bowles has to open up the offense and play the entire game like it’s a two minute drill. They need to abandon the same old plays and Baker needs to use rollouts and bootlegs a lot more.
This injury bug that the Bucs have every single year needs to be figured out.

Bucknot4ever you are an idiot
October 3rd, 2025 at 9:14 pm
BayouBullet- it doesn’t seem that odd, does it? did i miss something? it seems like he’s been kind of banged up all season and he tried playing through it but it got worse. I’m guessing its for the best he looked far less than 100% its more important to get him right for the crunch time at the end then to risk his season with him playing less than 100 percent now. Hopefully he’s back to full strength very soon, we definitely need him but at the same time we have the depth to get through some regular season ganes one would assume, until we get him healthy.
October 3rd, 2025 at 9:18 pm
buc43vr- i keep saying, the faster the astroturf is the more injuries, and heat plus astro is the worst combination for injuries. we need to completely redo our practice facilities
October 3rd, 2025 at 9:39 pm
Where’s the hefty fine from the league for the Eagle who hip dropped Bucky????
Tucker is probably hungry for touches – so I hope he makes the most of what he gets Sunday and forces Grizz to keep feeding him the ball on run plays. Problem with that is that Tucker is still a bit of a liability in pass protection…. so it kind of tips your hand if you are running with Tucker and then bringing White in more on the called pass plays….
Gotta find the balance with these 2 backs and figure out how to keep the other team’s defense off-balance with your alignments and play calls out of them.
How about some “Pony” looks this week coach Grizz…. that’ll keep the Seahags guessing…..

Thats enough injuries God please make it stop!!
October 4th, 2025 at 4:38 am
The Eagles were going after Bucky the entire game. He played most of the game. At one point it looked like he would be taken out of the game with an injury, but he went back out there. Can’t rely on one player to carry through. Let him rest well before coming back. For all the dirty plays some of the Eagles players made, they barely won. We came back 2nd half. Next time will we back the entire game.
Pickgrin Says: “Where’s the hefty fine from the league for the Eagle who hip dropped Bucky????” Agree, only hearing crickets.
October 4th, 2025 at 11:18 pm
No Bucky, no running game.
Seattle will be free to attack our badly limping Offensive line.
The right side of our line is weak. Gonna be a lot of heat on Baker- and he will be without his favorite dump off target.
Could be a difficult day

Please people…. We are 3-1 and have not played solid or consistent in any aspect of the Game, Offensively, Defensively, or Special Teams. While unfortunately being bitten by the Injury Bug as well!
We are Still 3-1, leading our division and ranked in the Top 10 by every major sports News affiliate. Stop calling the season a failure already and looking for heads to roll!!!
We have not started a game fast offensively yet, which is our objective and usually our M.O.
The Buc’s are going to start playing well complimentary football soon and it’s going to be a joy to witness…
God Bless in the name of Jesus
