Haason Reddick: Bucs Feel Like The Eagles

September 22nd, 2025

Bucs edge rusher Haason Reddick.

As winners of two of the last eight Super Bowls, the Philadelphia Eagles have become the gold standard in the NFC.

They’ve won rings before and after retooling their roster from top to bottom. It’s why Eagles general manager Howie Roseman will land in the Pro Football Hall of Fame one day.

A guy who spent two Pro Bowl seasons with the Eagles (2022 and 2023), Bucs edge rusher Haason Reddick, reluctantly confessed on the Buccaneers Radio Network that he feels Philly vibes in Tampa.

Reddick talked about how he believes the Tom Brady winning culture is still in place at One Buc Palace, and he likens it to what he knew a couple of years ago.

“The goal is always the same, the culture is the same. You know, forgive me for saying it, but [the Bucs] remind me of when I was with the Eagles, the kind of culture that we had there,” Reddick said. “Everybody has a winning mentality; everybody has a do-whatever-needs-to-be-done-so-we-can-get-the-win mentality. You know, being here my first three games, undoubtedly so we have that here. And I think it’s going to take us far, and it’s something that we need to pull out these kind of games.”

Joe enjoyed how Reddick almost didn’t want to make the Bucs-Eagles comparison but felt compelled to let fans know.

One thing Reddick didn’t mention about the Eagles’ culture is how the Bucs have owned them in recent years, including a Bucs win in the playoffs two seasons ago and a W last September in Tampa.

The Eagles will face the Bucs on Sunday, 1 o’clock at The Licht House.

    A very long season.

The team that can win over adversity or can avoid injuries will succeed.
So far the Bucs have numerous injuries.

How much do other teams have?

May be simply a leauge of attrition and the richest owner wins by luck.

The rich owners are our playthings as fans.

  2. Aqualung Says:

Oh, so Nick Sirianni is dual hatted Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator too.

No, wait. Vick Fangio is the full time Defensive Coordinator. So Sirianni must also coach the offense.

No, wait. Kevin Patullo is the full time Offensive Coordinator.

Hmm. Maybe that’s why Nick has won two Super Bowls as a head coach, because he has a fully resourced staff in critical positions who have the time to coach up the details, so the Head Coach can focus on more strategic issues and long term planning, engaging in scenario game theory instead of being caught between whether to drop Reddick four rows or fourteen rows back into the end zone seats.

I wonder when Reddick was last on a defense that collapsed in three straight fourth quarters to mediocre teams at best, having to be rescued by the other side of the ball. Every. Game.

  3. Pickgrin Says:

Yo – snot nosed, shabby clothed, park bench sitter – Get a new schtick…. your ongoing and constant whining about Todd Bowles calling the defensive plays as Head Coach is getting very old….

I guess Kyle Shanahan, Sean McVay, Matt LeFleur, Andy Reed and Sean Peyton are all idiots too because they wear “two hats” for the team they coach…

By my count, HALF (16 of 32) of all NFL head coaches call plays on game day.

We get it dude – loud and clear – you don’t like Todd Bowles….

How about limiting your whining about coach Bowles to one time/post per day? Instead of EVERY SINGLE MFing comment you make on jbf…..

  4. TBBucFan Says:

    Well stated, Pickgrin, well stated.
Listening to the Ira podcast (must listening for this Bucs fan), Steve and Lee both state that much less than 1% of the readers comment on this site. Much like life, some see the good, some see the bad, and some try to be balanced.

  5. Jmarkbuc Says:

I mean.. are there a lot of NFL teams that aren’t trying to win every game, will do whatever it takes, have a winning mentality?

Seems like those would be common characteristics. At least they used to be.

  6. KABucs Says:

    Pickgrin – LOL
    FOR REAL!!!

Dead horse fully beaten into dog food.

  7. Winny Testaverde Says:

Sirianni has one Super Bowl win as head coach…but has been to two. That plucky AquaBung is rarely right…but never in doubt.

  8. Weebs10 Says:

    Go away aquadung

  9. Everything is just horrble! Says:

    Go away AquaThong!!!! lol

  10. Kenton Smith Says:

Aqualung is a team leader! He loves this team! Plus, what’s a good story without a villain? I’m on your side Aqualung. Keep doing what you’re doing. We’re a better team with you!

  11. First Last Says:

aqualung is the new Kyle Trask account, but now he cannot complain about Mayfield so he complains about Todd

  12. Razorramone Says:

You poor old sod, you see it’s only me.

  13. Bosch Says:

I understand everyone saying enough is enough to the park bench sitter who needs to blow his nose. But as Bucs fans, we all want what is good for the Bucs. Given the defensive product Bowels has produced since the Super Bowl, who can honestly say is not a liability as defensive coordinator.

  14. Bucsfan Says:

How about he can only whine after a L?? That would almost eliminate this constant tripe.

  15. Bosch Says:

    …he is not…

  16. ballwasher61 Says:

Common sense, which is not so common anymore, should realize that players play and coach’s coach. Not once does a coach step on the field during a game. Who blames Harbaugh for Derrick Henry’s fumbles? Or Dak’s INT’s? Amazing.

  17. ballwasher61 Says:

Oh and how about keeping the comments relevant to the topic at hand.

  18. orlbucfan Says:

No comment from the Jethro Tull (great band) Gallery.

  19. Jeffrey Becker Says:

all those hat wearing coaches you listed are practically flawless strategists. bowles is not. huge difference. somebody had to defend the guy lol.

  20. Jeffrey Becker Says:

how many head coaches are D coordinator? aren’t all those listed in the pickgrin argument offensive guys?

  21. Erik with Pilot and Driver™ Says:

Aqualung is obviously a miserable loser with a loser mentality who focuses on the negative aspects of life. He prob sucks to be around IRL

About the article… In all fairness, the Eagles didn’t have AJ Brown or Devonta Smith last year when we beat them and this year, we are the ones with the injuries.

So, it will truly be miraculous if we somehow get the W this weekend.

    Hopefully we do, though

    Go Bucs

  22. #99 the big fella Says:

Aquathong , you are losing credibility every time you post. Take your friend HeadCaseGrover and go bother the saints

  23. PewterStiffArm Says:

I love my Buc’s, but it’s going to be very difficult to take down the Eagles three straight times. Remember, we stink at home. Rarely do we get up for games at home, especially those games that we have to show up. We have too many injuries on offense to expect a win just because we have a positive winning percentage against them. We are due for a crappie game without a comeback. Let the game begin. If we win this Sunday, look out. Philly fans hate to lose, especially to the Buccaneers.

  24. eoschwartz Says:

We do live in a country of free speech and there are so many different opinions here on Joe Bucs Fan. Some are interesting and some are not. I think it is classless and shows a lack of civility when someone posts something and another poster will attack or insult personally that person.

Personally I’m more interested in posts that are about the team, the players, game recaps and results that posts calling other posters names and insults instead of just not reacting and responding.

Silence is sometimes better than insults.

  25. JimBuc2 Says:

Ok,I think we got off topic with all the Jethro Tull stick. In case you didn’t know Ian Anderson is a complete dickhead to work with. I know of one instance where during a live performance a band member struck the wrong note. Rather than let it slide, Anderson stopped the tune mid song to single out the errant musician and berate him right there onstage. Now back to Bucco Baker Mayfield and his Buccaneers. Eagles, beagles. I got no respect for Jalen Hurts, we’ve been spankin Beagle butt real regular around here lately.
    Go Bucs!

  26. Stpetematt Says:

One complaint about Bowles allowed per week seems about right. Personally, I think he’s a pretty great coach and gets lots of pressure even when the DL isnt. Don’t know why the defense collapsed late, but he better address it since it can’t happen against the Eagles if we want to win.

  27. Megoat13 Says:

    Pickgrin lmao
