  1. First Last Says:

Todd Bowles is a leader of men

  2. 813bucboi Says:

    TC!!!!

    3-0!!!!

    GO BUCS!!!!

  3. D-Rok Says:

I’ve seen Coach Bowles slowly improve over the last 3 years. I think he is in a good spot this year. His decisions so far this year give me reason for optimism for the rest of this season.

Now if only we could get a healthy O-line, all would be great.

  4. MJ Says:

Todd has evolved and adapted and letting someone else handle your weakness(clock management) is a sign of a smart person, i can see why his players love him, he does not have to be a spaz to lead men and he does not have to be vocal w reporters to prove to the fans his intelligence, he’s having a good year, Bruce Arians saw something in Todd so I believe in him!

  5. Aqualung Says:

It’s true that Todd Bowles is a leader of men. But that doesn’t equate to him being effective as a part time defensive coordinator who reports to a part time head coach, who is himself. No check and balance there. And therein is the Bucs critical systemic flaw. Add in the excellence of Bucs Medical and Training group and we have the recipe for hammered by halftime.

  6. RC Says:

I think we can get rid of this poll. He is a good coach, there is no issue there. He is not what is holding the team back or anything. This is a good organization, period. Injuries happen and we fight through.

  7. Joe Sea Says:

Bowles is a good coach, hope his defense can lift us through these O Line injuries

  8. BucsFan81 Says:

At this point the real question is how confident are we that we can win games with all these injuries.

  9. Cometowin2 Says:

Confident. Seems to be playing more aggressive and a little less of the soft a$$ pass defense. Let’s go 3-0!!!

  10. Defense Rules Says:

Interesting how fans’ feelings about a team & its coaches change when you win.

  11. NeckBraceNed Says:

If a giant subterranean, apocalyptic type creature somehow exploded out of the ground before the game starts it might cause problems with the already struggling secondary. Just my 2 sense

  12. heyjude Says:

    Confident.

  13. Kenton Smith Says:

Aqualung. I’ve been “hammered by halftime” too many times to count. Since long before Todd Bowles even made career choices. I’m not looking for a scapegoat.

  14. John Sinclear Says:

Over 80% favorable, as it has been the last three weeks.

If the M.A.S.H. unit that is the Bucs loses Sunday, watch the next poll be under 50% as the faithful flee the scene!

  15. Obvious One Says:

    My vote… NA.

Haven’t by far seen enough to judge very much this year. I Will say that if I’m being honest, he received Flowers from me for the last two games combined. Not a horrific showing by the defense. And in fact, “Decent” and at moments even “Satisfying” performance by the war torn secondary.

Seems somebody is getting through to the secondary (except of course the ability to catch a ball). And even though Bowles may or “may not” be the responsible source, He Has “to this point” done his job and at the least Found Someone Whom IS GETTING THROUGH to the Defense!….. So far, so good.
The Front Line…. GETTING IT DONE IN A BIG WAY! But falling short of high grades due to the “Lack Of” a pass rush though I believe the lack of sacks IS DIRECTLY RELATED to Bowles style of defense and “Isn’t Designed” to encourage actual sacks.. Because his style simply ISN’T! Bowles style is about “pressure”, and Not sacks..

Defensive Grading to this point : C+/ B-

Offensive Grading: B / C+ (Holding on by a thread because of obvious o line reasons And in fact the “B” IS BECAUSE OF the fact that the O line is in shambles Yet STILL scoring at a respected rate and overall THAT would be Because Of Baker Mayfield)

Individually Baker is Sporting an A-….

    Special Teams… D / F

A very minimal performance efforts from that group and Overall are Failing and Falling on their Faces and Embarrassing themselves Badly!

    This.

Everyone expects some injuries, but this has been unreal. And not just with us.

  17. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Defense Rules Says
“Interesting how fans’ feelings about a team & its coaches change when you win.”

    Well, duh, lol.

Badly coached teams do not win.

  18. Not My NFL Says:

@ D-Rok Yeah I really loved when bowels made the genius call for a timeout to give Atlanta time to throw the challenge flag on the incompletion called complete on the field by Tez Johnson all while the offense was hurrying to the line to snap the ball hahahaha…………Yeah that’s a lot of improvement.

  19. Not My NFL Says:

LOL Baker is the only reason Todd still has a job here PERIOD!!

  20. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Aqualung Says:
“No check and balance there. And therein is the Bucs critical systemic flaw. Add in the excellence of Bucs Medical and Training group and we have the recipe for hammered by halftime.”

    I have to disagree there.

Many Head Coaches play the role of coordinator. The only reason the defense has not been top ten for the past few years is because the focus was on building around Baker Mayfield.

Can you say they were wrong for doing so? We wouldn’t have such a good offense if they hadn’t.

But when you focus one one side, you neglect the other.

If anything, Todd Bowles showed he is willing to sacrifice his own specialty for the benefit of the team. And that is why he got an extension.

And as far as the injuries, those are up around the league. As much as you’d like to blame medical staff, the new league rules are the culprit…they limit proper conditioning…and those rules were negotiated by the players themselves.

  21. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Not My NFL Says
“LOL Baker is the only reason Todd still has a job here PERIOD!!”

Considering he wanted Baker at a time when the entire league had given up on him…and then he made sure Baker had a chance to succeed by building around him…I would say it goes both ways.

  22. Stpetematt Says:

Yeah. Seriously dude? Todd is one of the main reasons Baker is here in the first place!

  23. GoneGator Says:

    Confident 👍🏼

    @Buccaneer Bonzai
I’ve been trying to tell Todd’s fav critics the same thing for awhile.
Lots of Head Coaches are coordinating defense or offense also.

Now, it’s Todd’s fault he’s an alcoholic or hammered by halftime – lol.

  24. orlbucfan Says:

No Bonzai, teams with interesting critical injuries have a very hard time, winning. That’s across all 3 parts of the team. Bucs have had an interesting history with those types of injuries. Yet, they have managed to win 2 SBs, one in their crib. It’s another similar opening season pattern. They have a ton of talent. This one falls on Grizzatd and his plan for the Jets. Go Bucs!!

  25. stpetebucsfan Says:

    D.R.

“Interesting how fans’ feelings about a team & its coaches change when you win.”

Perhaps but I’m stunned that almost 12% have little or no confidence. Two exciting games, gambles in both that were amazing..going on 4th that drive and the gambles in the Houston game..an UNDEFEATED record…what more can Todd do. Obviously go deeper into the playoffs and I get that but wow…such negativity!

@JOES Perhaps the Poll might be a little more revealing if you broke it up.

What are we asking here. Are we confident Todd will post a winning record? Another Divsion title…a win in the playoffs…a SB win?

My confidence levels varies greatly in those 4 questions!

Im very confident the Bucs will post a winning record. I’m “pretty” confident Todd with another consecutive Division title. I’m perhaps more hopeful than confident the Bucs will win at least the first round playoff game.

As for the Lombardi…I don’t have MAJOR confidence in ANY single team. It takes a lot of talent, depth and LUCK to even get to the SB where anything can happen.

I have confidence that the Bucs have a top ten HC if not even higher.
