Bucs Problem Leaves NFC South
August 27th, 2025This is almost as exciting as the Falcons benching notorious Bucs killer Kirk Cousins.
It was announced today that veteran receiver Adam Thielen was traded from the Panthers to the Vikings as part of a swap of draft picks.
For those who have completley blocked out last year’s ugly Bucs pass defense, Theilen, at 34 years old, had 13 catches for 209 yards and 3 touchdowns in two games against Tampa Bay. Yeah, you read that right. The Bucs simply couldn’t cover the guy.
No word on whether the Panthers are clearing salary cap room to reunite Kyle Trask and Panthers head coach Dave Canales.
Thielen must have really wanted to go home to his native Minnesota. He was beloved in Carolina during his one season there.

Glad we won’t see Thielen. We won’t be seeing Trask either.
Guess what? Trask had more shots than most. He hit the snooze button so many times the Bucs finally said, Hey Kyle, the Uber’s outside—don’t let the door hit you on the way back to Gainesville or maybe they said get in the front seat, so Winston does not grab the driver.
August 27th, 2025 at 11:51 am
Newsflash!!! Thielen wasn’t the only receiver Bucs couldn’t cover…
August 27th, 2025 at 11:54 am
That’s a relief. If I remember correctly, Theilen was just taking McCollum’s lunch money every play in the red zone last year.
August 27th, 2025 at 11:58 am
He’s just scared. If he feels comfortable he can be good to decent. He needs coddling. Enough is enough. Bridgewater is a MASSIVE upgrade over kitty cat Kyle.

Panthers cleared up 7 Million in cap space with this trade, got a draft pick, and don’t have to pay a dime of his contract. Vikings got a go to guy that will help McCarthey as it did Young in 2024 to get rid of the ball and minimize turnovers. Win. Win. Canales go of Renfro also due to them drafting some good young players.
With that 7 million I have a feeling Panthers have something bigger in the works than signing Trask even though they might might.
Bucs problem that I see is they face the Panthers twice in the last few weeks and the Panthers may deny the Bucs a much needed game to secure the Number1 Seed in the NFC
August 27th, 2025 at 12:11 pm
Jesus with this Trask ish.
August 27th, 2025 at 12:14 pm
Kirk Cousins is not a good QB,
He cost the Falcons a playoff run, last season
He was good against the Bucs, twice last season
But, what QB wasn’t good against the Bucs last season?
I rather have one Michael Penix Jr
Than 10 Kirk Cousins
August 27th, 2025 at 12:16 pm
Michael Penis will get his a$$ kicked this year with that o line
August 27th, 2025 at 12:25 pm
Thielen was @ Carolina for 2 seasons
August 27th, 2025 at 12:35 pm
Yeah, I saw this. This deal has been in the works for awhile now. Way before Trask was ever released. Basically, the very minute it was announced that Addison was lost. But, I’ve been noticing that NFL teams have been doing more ‘pick-swaps’ in the past couple of seasons… I always wondered why it was never popular, as it is in the NBA. I expect to see A LOT more of it in the future. For awhile now, I’ve thought that teams should try-it more often with their ‘first-round’ picks. If I were a team looking to trade my big-time stud player (cough, cough, Micah Parsons), I would take back in return a few first-round “Pick Swaps” versus a bunch of late-round ‘sweeteners.’ All. Day. Long.
August 27th, 2025 at 12:36 pm
I’m sure whoever replaces Thielen at Carolina will also be able to dominate Todd’s Nothing Over Your Heads Ever defense.
August 27th, 2025 at 12:41 pm
I thought Garret Green had a better camp than Cam Johnson! I remember Green making a few plays in the preseason games, can’t recall one from Johnson!??
August 27th, 2025 at 12:41 pm
I think it was a dumb trade by the Panthers. Moore is their only veteran WR over the age of 25.
Meanwhile the Viking hit jackpot and when Addison returns their offense will become a three headed juggernaut at WR + Hockenson.
August 27th, 2025 at 12:42 pm
I think it is MUCH worse for the Bucs with him being in Minnesota. I think Minnesota will be the bigger threat to the Bucs season than what Carolina will be. Currently, I don’t believe Carolina is as much of a ‘player’ in the overall playoff picture than what the Vikings are.
August 27th, 2025 at 12:44 pm
What was the swap?
August 27th, 2025 at 12:45 pm
Yeah the Vikings are a threat for wild card spot at the very least. Makes it tougher for the rest of the NFC.

Daryl Green Says: “Jesus with this Trask ish.”
💯 Yeah! It’s really unbelievable just how freaking OBSESSED these “Baker-Bois” are with Kyle Trask. STILL. To This Very Day. It reminds me of “TDS.” It literally, DOMINATES ‘their brains’ every single minute of every single day, all day long. It’s embarrassing. Just anything at all that is said (or not said) about Kyle Trask, or even insinuated about Baker, they totally, completely, just lose THEIR MINDS. It is a sickness. A Disease. Kyle Trask has destroyed THEIR BRAINS. I don’t get-it, at ALL. And, these are supposedly “Adults!?”
August 27th, 2025 at 12:57 pm
Adam Thielen fate was sealed, when the Panthers drafted Tetairoa McMillan. He was drafted to replace Adam Thielen..
August 27th, 2025 at 1:00 pm
“Fred McNeil” – I don’t know… I just saw/heard a couple of late round pick swaps!? They weren’t specific. Hell, it might not even be 💯 completely figured-out or determined yet, Idk!?
August 27th, 2025 at 1:03 pm
I would love to see Canales work with Trask. 🤞
August 27th, 2025 at 1:07 pm
Panthers most love their receivers now. This nfc south race is going to be interesting unless we run away with it
August 27th, 2025 at 1:08 pm
Yeah, pick swaps and ‘protected’ (first-round’ especially) picks. I’ve always wondered why NFL GM’s don’t do this like the NBA does… I thought maybe it was illegal in THE NFL. I got to thinking, that more than likely, the opposing team just refuses to agree to it being ‘protected’ and they just stand pat, because they already have most of the leverage, since the team inquiring on the player, are really wanting HIM BAD.
August 27th, 2025 at 1:09 pm
Disappointing, When You said the Bucs problem was leaving the NFC -South I thought they fired Bowles, oh well , maybe later .
August 27th, 2025 at 1:17 pm
i wouldnt be eating Ws yet joe lol….
their rookie WR that they picked in the 1st round must be pretty good….
i agree with others: the Trask hate is insane and lame
GO BUCS!!!!!
August 27th, 2025 at 1:35 pm
No big deal. We cant cover no one so no difference lol.
Honestly if we start the season and continue to see the DBs 10 yds off then I m not spending another minute talking about Bowles.
The Defense needs to improve a lot. No more excuses.
Go Bucs
August 27th, 2025 at 1:38 pm
Danny DeVito gets picked off waivers before Kyle Trask. Does that tell you something
August 27th, 2025 at 1:38 pm
TDS is just a term for the people nice enough to point out he’s lying to you.
Glad Thielen is out of this division. Maybe we won’t play Minnesota in the playoffs.
August 27th, 2025 at 1:40 pm
Let’s not forget the 3 nfc north teams were whipped in the playoffs lol. Also I’m still not high on Bryce young
August 27th, 2025 at 2:04 pm
The way Trask was dumped and the way Sanders was also I hope they come back with a chip on their shoulders and hit back harder. The last time we had a home grown QB it was Shaun King is this just the way we are we can’t develop young talent or we expect the previous coaches to do these things for us? The way Sanders was sent packing is pretty much every day and and shows he has attitude with his talent don’t want a donut playing safety or do you Bucs
August 27th, 2025 at 2:30 pm
“No word on whether the Panthers are clearing salary cap room to reunite Kyle Trask and Panthers head coach Dave Canales.”
Laughable… Completely laughable
August 27th, 2025 at 2:47 pm
He wasn’t the only receiver to shred our defense. Hopefully Bucs have done enough to at least slow down the bleeding. I know Bowles is harping on turnovers turnovers turnovers but they need to worry more about fundamentals, like tackling, pursuit angles and tighter coverage. I’m all for taking the ball away and giving that potent offense another possession but the fundamentals is way more important.
August 27th, 2025 at 2:53 pm
The Panthers are close to the cap??
August 27th, 2025 at 3:13 pm
Bucs CB’s and DB’s were complete knuckleheads last season.
Hope they have gotten smarter.
August 27th, 2025 at 3:37 pm
Thielen exploited our soft zone. Intelligent vets can work that over and Canales had knowledge to help.
Don’t tell me McCollum, with his athleticism, couldn’t play tight on Thielen and try to jam his 34 year old ass make him battle for it. Maybe that happened and he was still burning but Thielen wasn’t let go from Minny in the first place cause he has good speed!

“TDS is just a term for the people nice enough to point out he’s lying to you” – Stpetematt.
I could rip you to shreds on whatever, politically. ANY issue. Easily. Domestically. Foreign Policy. You name it. Think about it… YOU have fallen for EVERY single made-up ‘narrative’ pushed by the highly corrupt legacy media, and EVERY so-called “expert” who has been WRONG about everything (never right). Every Lie. YOU bought it! Because, you wanted to. It’s a mind virus. The thing that really blows my mind though, is HOW!? How do you continue being proven SO wrong time after time, & being made to look as a fool, just over and over & again and again!? It is complete total insanity. I could list DOZENS of things right off the top of my mind too, but I won’t. This is a Bucs site. But, it’s just mind-blowing. All the HORRIBLE information. It is a literal, sickness, A Disease.
August 27th, 2025 at 5:08 pm
Trey Palmer to the Saints… watch him finally learn how to catch lol.
August 27th, 2025 at 5:11 pm
LOL at maga supporters talking about other people eating up lies…
Your entire cult is based on lies and denial of reality. Good luck, Junior.
August 27th, 2025 at 5:45 pm
Joe, I thought that this site discouraged political comments. Then MelvinJR puts out a little tease of TDS ” It reminds me of “TDS.” It literally, DOMINATES ‘their brains’ every single minute of every single day, all day long. It’s embarrassing.”
Then StPeteBuc makes a simple Response to his tease, “TDS is just a term for the people nice enough to point out he’s lying to you.” (He’s correct)
And then Jr goes full MAGA and says, “I could rip you to shreds on whatever, politically. ANY issue. ”
If this crap by JrMelvin is OK with you, I would like to answer him with some comments of my own. I think he is what is wrong with this country, but will withhold further comments awaiting your comments. Please do so we can all play by the same rules.

————
He slipped to the 6th round before of his hands.
But there was plenty of times he was running wide open, in particular as a rookie, and Baker would just flat out miss him. Last year, however, he seemed to take a step back – and this preseason didn’t do much of anything. Part of it is how he’s used, he’s basically a discount budget version of Alvin Harper, he’s got one trick, run deep – too often the Bucs used him as if he’s an agility guy instead of a speed guy.
Doesn’t mean it wasn’t the right thing to move on, but he does have speed, and I won’t be shocked if he gets a couple of bombs vs the Bucs this year if he sticks around.
August 27th, 2025 at 11:10 pm
If he somehow ends up with the Broncos one day, no doubt Sean Peyton will figure out how to put that speed to good use.
