Both English and Spanish radio broadcasts of Bucs games can be accessed via the Bucs official app. Additional stations throughout Florida on the Buccaneers Radio Network can be found here. The game also will be broadcast on SiriusXM Channel 226 (Buccaneers Radio Network feed).

Weather: Typical Tampa weather today and tonight. Per AccuWeather.com, this afternoon it is supposed to be cloudy. Look for the mid-80s with late-afternoon thunderstorms for the tailgaters — good beer-drinking weather if you have cover. By kickoff it should be 81 under cloudy skies with a 49 percent chance of rain. The temperature will decrease to the upper-70s by game’s end with a 20 percent chance of rain.

Odds: Per Hard Rock Bet, as of midnight, Bucs +3.5 (-115); over/under 32.5.

Outlook: This will be the first time fans who haven’t been lucky enough to attend training camp will get to see young Bucs in person. The possible hiccup is, will receiver Emeka Egbuka and cornerback Jacob Parrish be on the field? Bucs coach Todd Bowles said this week that the starters (likely) won’t play. Joe expects both Egbuka and Parrish, both rookies, to start the regular season. So will Bowles give all the rookies some snaps or keep Egbuka and Parrish in street clothes? Jalen McMillan is technically a starter (in a three-receiver set) but Joe doesn’t know if Bowles feels that way. For Joe, the key here is Kyle Trask, the Bucs’ current No. 2 quarterback. Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht said that “for now” Trask is Baker Mayfield’s immediate backup in the wake of the Bucs signing Teddy Bridgewater. Will “for now” run out by midnight tonight? Another thing for Joe to watch is the second-team offensive line. It has been awful in training camp. Will Bowles decide Charlie Heck, who is expected to start at left tackle until Tristan Wirfs returns, needs snaps in a worthless preseason game? There is motivation here. If the Bucs’ second-team offensive line stinks, Joe is pretty sure Licht will go shopping. Or he better go shopping at the bargain bin at the end of the month when rosters are whittled to 53 league-wide. There will be a glut of decent backups hitting the market in three weeks. Yes, Joe also wants to see edge rusher Chris Braswell light things up so Joe can sleep better and night.

The Bucs are 3.5 point underdogs? Does that mean the Titans are playing their starters? I hope so, at least that will be a little fun to watch.

  4. BA’s Red Pen Says:

No, it means Trask is starting.

    Aileen Hnatiuk: Oh MY!

I’d wager Emeka Egbuka and Jacob Parrish see at least a few snaps. They are after all rookies, potential starters or not.

If Egbuka and Parrish don’t play I’m not sure who I’m really even interested in watching. Doubt Tez Johnson will play as well

    Finally! Football games are back!

Really looking forward to this football season. Not many times in the last 50 years have we been able to say going into a season that the Buccaneers have a Super Bowl caliber roster – but I believe that is the case this year.

    Let’s GOOOOOOOO!

Being a first-time starter for the Bucs, Aileen Hnatiuk needs lots of snaps and air time.
