    Confident

  2. SB~LV Says:

How could anyone outside OBP have a clue!
We have never really seen him play!

  3. LakelandBuc Says:

I’m totally confident that Kyle Trask is a capable backup

  4. BucEmUp Says:

We’ve never seen him play one single meaningful snap. We know hes no baker.

  5. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

    Bitter clingers voting hard!

  6. LakelandBuc Says:

The part of this that l don’t understand,

These posters says that Jason Licht ta great GM, one of the best
But on the other hand, they say Kyle Trask sucks as a NFL QB

Jason Licht spent a 2nd rounder on Trask, and this is his 4th season
So, if Jason Licht has that much confidence in Trask, why shouldn’t I?
After all Jason Licht allegedly is a Top-5 GM, according to most of us
le Trask is as bad as they say he is, then Licht is jus

  7. LakelandBuc Says:

“”” It posted before l was finished””

I’m sure Jason Licht haven’t kept Trask around for 4 years

If he didn’t think he was a capable backup QB

  8. RBUC Says:

I believe going into 2023 season ,just before BA retired, they were on board with starting Trask cause they knew they were rebuilding anyway but they feared the lack of experience Kyle was at that stage then behind the scenes the deal with Baker Mayfield presented itself so he agreed to come cheap on a prove it deal so in exchange the starting job was given to Baker and the competition for the job was just for show BUT during that fake competition Kyle showed he had more metal than even they thought he had and he impressed them and I believe that lead to the Bucs re-signing Trask just incase cause Baker throws his body around and could get hurt. I believe we have seen Mayfield’s ceiling BUT Trask still has room to grow as a better QB than we have yet to see from him and he definitely can play in this league – we will eventually see how things play out

  9. Stpetematt Says:

Nuts! I missed the poll. I would say confident, though. He’s looking better lately.

  10. Kenton Smith Says:

Same thing gives me confidence with Trask that gives me confidence with Mayfield. A very good football team around them.

  11. JD Still Says:

Good poll ! At least 64 percent of those polled were Bucs fans! The other 36 percent were probably football refugees from Cleveland.

  12. firethecannons Says:

I missed the poll, I have minimal confidence in Trask, he is slow, he has to make decisions quickly and yet not sure he can do that. I have not seen him play since last year but I do not think he processes quickly. Hope they broadcast all the Bucs preseason games and I hope Baker and 1st string(except rookies) watch the game only. All rookies need to play. We need another quarterback for Trask to compete with, Bazelaak is camp meatball.

  13. Rod Munch Says:

Trask had excellent game performances the last two preseasons, and there’s not much else to go on besides that. So as far as backups go, I’m pretty confident.

  14. Sapp 2 Fundamentally Sound Says:

Nice to see the poll results showing that the majority have confidence in Trask. As well we should.

  15. MadMax Says:

“Little” …havent seen anything to convince me otherwise. I hope im wrong.

But there might be a guy out there somewhere come cutting time….named Shedeur…bring him in coach him up, you never know.

Mayfield hurt, Pratt hurt, what if Trask goes down? Just keep your eye on every what if Jason, and I know you will.

  16. Pickgrin Says:

I feel ‘confident’ Trask will show well if he has to play any real games this year.

The surrounding talent would make any QB who is talented enough to make an NFL team look good.

Pre-season isn’t the same at all btw…. Even if Trask doesn’t look great in pre-season games – it doesn’t mean he won’t be good when he’s playing behind a top OLine with a great running game and the best receiving options in the league….

  17. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

I missed the poll, but my “Kind of confident in a way but really don’t know” option wasn’t there.

Whatever he is aside, what are the odds that a 2nd string behind an old man and a slightly reckless guy with a previous injury wouldn’t get a random start in four years?

  18. Bucnjim Says:

There are a lot of teams that can’t even get a decent starting QB, never mind a backup. I think Trask is at least capable enough to keep us competitive, which is better than most.

  19. Aqualung Says:

    Mike Glennon.

  20. MikeBuc Says:

“Nice to see the poll results showing that the majority have confidence in Trask”

We don’t really know. Online polls are notoriously unreliable and are more for fun than anything else. Many of our trask fanatics probably voted multiple times and readers are more likely to vote if they have strong previously committed opinions skewing the numbers.

I think he gets a shot at some games this season – Baker’s style doesn’t avoid injury very well and I hope he does well. He’s been a class act with no whining I have heard about.

I don’t know how anyone could say they have confidence though based on almost zero playing time in real games. The Licht GM argument that since he is here he must be good doesn’t pan out because QBs are premium in this league and impossible to hide from GMs around the league. Signing a one year deal where you are unlikely to play says to me – not a lot of takers when he hit free agency.

I tend to think he will be decent – but saying I am CONFIDENT is stretching common sense.

I think its fantastic you FINALLY came out and admitted your true self . To you being a Buc’s fan is defined by confidence in Trask and Gator Love – Canes man myself

Just don’t complain when other question your fanhood for not supporting the starter for the bucs at QB.

  22. Bee Says:

Very confident. I think if he gets consistent work with the starters in games that count, he could surprise people.

  23. Oxycondomns Says:

firethecannons is right trask processes information slowly. he will show flashes of good but he will throw picks just like he did in the last college game he played . how many was it like 5 or 6?

  24. Oxycondomns Says:

3 ints in the first qtr one a pick 6, lol

  25. JD Still Says:

Mike Bucs; Thanks but I’ve always been a Bucs fan from their first year , Bucs Fan, not any single individual, the Team. But I am not a fanatic , if something is wrong or if someone has been grievously wronged by broken promises I will bring attention to it and that goes both ways, if a Bucs player , doesn’t matter how good he is or how high his draft , if he has molested women or feels free to steal from local merchants , he reflects not only on the team but the community , and that’s not right either, the Team represents the community to the rest of the nation good or bad.

  26. JD Still Says:

OxyCondomns; Now for the rest of the story, which you seem to have forgotten ,or overlooked. Florida had a very good team that year, Kyle was a Heisman finalist and many of the offensive and defensive starters would go early in the first rounds and did not want to get hurt in a meaningless game before the draft so they decided to skip the game, understandable, but it left a very under strength team, Kyle knew this and could have skipped the game also, but he did not think that would be the right thing to do to the school and its fans so he played and opened himself up to cheap shots by non Florida or Trask fans, but that is Kyle , We need more people like that.

  27. Oxycondomns Says:

so what your saying is his teammates made him look better than he actually was?
