Respect Is Coming
July 17th, 2025
Still underrated?
Bucs respect is growing among national media. Too bad the NFL has nearly destroyed what once was an excellent vehicle to celebrate the joys of football.
Joe is referring to NFL Network. It’s signature weekday morning show, “Good Morning Football,” which was once the gold standard for morning TV, not just sports, is nearly unwatchable now, save for Kyle Brandt.
When Brandt is not there, it’s painful to watch. And that’s saying something coming from a footballholic like Joe.
(Most in the revolving door of working the breakfast table to replace Kay Adams, Peter Schrager and Jason McCourty, are complete unknowns to Joe. Former co-host Akbar Gbaja-Biamila [who?] swore he never heard of bratwurst. Of course, he never had one, either. The next day a chef brings in two types for this guy to sample: real and vegan. This fool chose vegan. That’s an outrage! There is no such thing as a vegan brat!!! WTF???)
Well, this week host Jamie Erdahl asked the other three co-hosts to name the most underrated player in the game. Manti Te’o — yeah, Mr. Fake Girlfriend is now a co-host — suggested Mike Evans. Former NFL linebacker Jason Cabinda selected Lavonte David.
“He does it all,” Cabinda said of David.
Joe sides with Cabinda.
Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht has noted a few times in recent years that Evans has received the run he deserved. Why? Because Evans’ consistent production demanded attention.
When you put up numbers better than Randy Moss and tie Jerry friggin’ Rice, that type of play cannot be ignored. Now, Evans is widely believed a lock for Canton.
If the Bucs have the most underrated player in the NFL, it is David. The guy puts up better numbers than some of his peers, including those believed to be headed to Canton as well. Yet David cannot buy a Pro Bowl berth.
That’s just so effed up.
And, like Evans, David is beginning to approach numbers hard to ignore, try though folks may.
If the Bucs make a playoff run, and David is still balling out at 35, maybe then David will get the run he deserves. Maybe.
"I expect to be your teammate again… Canton, Ohio." 🫡

Winning = Respect
Especially winning in the playoffs

What a great video! Giving me all the feels. Go Bucs!

FOOTBALL ROYALTY indeed Matt!
And what thrills me as much is watching two of the classiest human beings to play the game. They are both studs OFF the field as well as on.
I love classy people.

Love it! Talk about tying the past to the future. That video does it.

Vegan brat? The texture has to feel like a mouth full of mud.

Excellent video! Mike’s day is coming. Lavonte will be right there too.

Mike will get in the first time. It may take David a time or two but I believe he’ll get there too. Gotta look at his numbers!!

Glad I’m not alone in my thinking that bad refereeing cost us our first SB title in ’99-’00 season. Still no doubt in my mind we would’ve smoked the Titans in the Super Bowl had the zebras gotten it right during the NFC championship game.
Donnie Abraham should’ve gotten a Pro Bowl nod that year as well. Robbed on all types of fronts that season.

It’s LaVonte by a mile. Evans has been getting quite a bit of love for awhile now! NO ONE ever says that he is not a future HOF’er… It’s not even seriously debated anymore, for very long. And, OF COURSE that guy chose the ‘vegan’ option. I would not have expected anything any less than that, with the people these ‘unwatchable’ and failing sports panelist shows are choosing to put on air these days. I bet they don’t pay them jack squat, either… Not for someone on tv. Even ESPN’s radio shows (especially ‘nights and weekends’)… Those guys are just HORRIBLE, and incompetent. They contradict themselves literally, in the very next sentence (sometimes in the same one). They constantly, stutter around. They talk about THE ‘STUPIDEST’ things, while trying to be funny. They are NOT. They are usually, soooo dead ass WRONG… And, unprepared. They don’t even know the most basic facts or stats (currently, or historically), whether it be sports, current events, OR on ‘real-life’ stuff. Forget Politics. They are SO BORING. And, their voices SUCK. It’s Awful. It’s really embarrassing.

GMFB has 2 keepers in Erdahl and obviously KB. Manti T’eo is terrible, just a pile of cliches and bro-stuff. That spot still seems to rotate with other guys who are better and sometimes worse. They haven’t even tried to replace Shrager with a football insider type guy. How did NFLN let Shrager get away to ESPN?

Let’s go.
