Haason Reddick Praised For “Amazing” Hunger

Yes, the Bucs have three first-round draft picks starting on their defensive front.
They’re Haason Reddick (2017), Vita Vea (2018) and Calijah Kancey (2023).
That’s a huge investment. Throw in YaYa Diaby, a beastly and hungry third-round draft pick in 2023, and the Bucs should be able to generate a respectable pass rush, maybe even a special one.
Diaby seems to sense a difference after swapping Joe Tryon-Shoyinka, now a Browns weakness, for Reddick.
“Man, I’m super geeked to have a guy like Haason, you know, it’s just so amazing to see how hungry he is,” Diaby told SiriusXM NFL Radio. “Everybody kind of turned away from him because of all the things that he’s been through with the Jets, but he’s still got that hunger even though he’s up in age. He still has that hunger. Having a guy like that on the other side and then having Calijah [Kancey] and Vita [Vea] in the middle, man, I’m super geeked for what this team got in store.”
Joe finds it amazing how many people Reddick impressed after a few days of underwear football practice. It’s a fantastic sign for a guy that turns 31 in September and had two half-sacks last season, despite playing with a Pro Bowl nose tackle and a 10 1/2-sack guy opposite him.

What will the conversation look like around here when the defense is GREATLY improved this coming year ? Will the Todd super critics find ways to credit anyone but coach ?

Love hearing these reports about Reddick not only looking hungry and super shape and doing well in underwear football. But, also the mentorship he’s given to the young bucs. If we can keep those pesky injury bugs off of this team it feels like something special is coming up for the fall of 2025. Fire those canons and let’s go Tampa Bay Buccaneers!!!
