Fun With The PFF Tribe
May 17th, 2025
“Baker, if those clowns didn’t put me on their list, I would have locked their arses out of any Raiders game.”
Joe’s ears are still buzzing from watching AC/DC last night at The Licht House. Fun time. Couldn’t believe Angus Young is 70. Played like he was 40.
There was someone else who felt like a kid last night. That was Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht. Of course, Licht was there. Had a luxury box. And he was pumped.
Chucky was pumped, too.
Once home, Joe decided to have some fun by way of the PFF tribe.
It seems the PFF tribe decided to unveil its All-21st Century Team. Hey, we’ve reached the quarter pole of the century, so why not?
Would you believe (said in a Maxwell Smart voice) that the PFF tribe had three Bucs, who were with the team at the same time, make their All-21st Century team? Yes, all on offense. What a country!
You could probably guess the three. No, one was not Oneil Cousins or Jaelon Darden. The three areTom Brady, foot-rubbing Rob Gronkowski and Antonio Brown.
That’s how explosive the Bucs offense was in 2020. Sadly, no, there is no Mike Evans or Chris Godwin or Playoff Lenny on the PFF tribe’s list.
(Yes, Darrelle Revis and Logan Mankins, both former Bucs, made the same team. They were not on the 2020 Super Bowl-winning Bucs squad.)
But damn, how cool is that? The Bucs at one time had three of the best players in NFL history all on the offense. The offense!
Talk about “Shoot to Thrill!”
All these young kids today are getting me to listen to their music… it’s time they take some advice from the old coach.
AC DC concert tonight in Tampa I cannot wait!! pic.twitter.com/olmEuB58kv

I was at A/C D/C last night. Got my wife tickets for her birthday. First time I have seen them. A great show. How long was Angus’ guitar solo? Maybe 25-30 minutes. It was crazy good. We were sitting near the ship. Go Bucs!

Seems you omitted
LEFT GUARD: Logan Mankins (93.2 Career PFF Grade)
CORNERBACK: Darrelle Revis (94.4 Career PFF Grade)

LOL Well, they weren’t on the Super Bowl team.

Oh man, thats AWESOME. In my top 3 of faves as a kid (Def Leppard and early Metallica the other two) . Ive seen them twice when i was in my teens. I grew up on them from the time i was 10 (with singer Bon Scott). Their concerts are always LOUD! Thats why current singer Brian Johnson had to step away a while back. But this new technology has advanced the noise cancelling ear buds, so he’s hopefully doing much better. BTW, check out this new young band if you’re into old school thrash…”Killer Sick” we are toxic.
I stepped away from the comments for a while but this drew me back out lol. Is that Baker beside Jason in the photo? Looks like him.

I saw AC/DC in 1990 for the Razor’s Edge tour. Awesome show. Even got a couple of the Angus Bucks dropped during the Money Talks song. Good times.

Seen AC/DC in Croke Park last year. Was brilliant.

What about Sapp, Brooks, Ronde et al?
Last I checked, 2003 was part of the 21st Century!
Brain cramps? Find me someone better than Sapp and Brooks!
Another as nauseum subject around here: Trades!
Please stop talking player for player trades. Why?
Because it’s not done, that’s why.
Last year, during the entire 2024 regular season (up to the trade deadline), there were a league total of 18 trades involving 19 players. 17 trades were draft picks in exchange for a player.
And one, only one, trade involved a player for player swap.
So please, stop offering our players to other teams in exchange for theirs.
It just doesn’t happen in the NFL.

Antonio Brown being in there is a joke. He was not that good.

Antonio Brown is a mental case but at his peak he’s a top 5 receiver all time easily. He has the best peak of any y2k+ receiver besides Moss & Owens!
Can’t say I really like him as an individual but even when he was past his prime on our super bowl team he was the best receiver on our team from a fundamental standpoint.
Can’t say I respect him as a person but for a 5-7 year stretch he was the best receiver in football.

Great Angus Young quote. Some critic said an album sounded exactly like all 11 of their other albums. Angus said, “That offends me. This album sounds exactly like all 12 of our other albums. “

Shame Mike couldn’t get in there. He will end up being remembered more than Brown even though Brown was an incredible talent. Longevity and being a great guy will last, look no further than Evans record holdings.
Saw AC/DC at Coachella around 10 years ago. Best concert of my life, love those guys.

Love AC/DC.
Jason needs to hit the weights to pull that look off though, lol.

Please stop with the Playoff Lenny crap. The dude was average at best. A big slow back wirh soft hands, poor balance, and absolutely no leg drive. Ronald Jones was, by far, the far superior RB during the 2020 season start to finish, and the stats prove it.

AC/DC !!!!!!!!
I was there!!!!
Awesome stuff. And The Pretty Reckless sounded fantastic. Well, worth a diving into their catalog if you don’t know them.

How exactly does Mike Evans and Derrick Brooks not make this list? Most of Brooks awards and tackles and stats are from the 2000s not the 1990s.
On a sidenote… The last time I saw AC/DC was Dec 1981. For those about to rock tour. Freshman in high school.

Unfortunately those grades were not given solely on there times as a BUC. Those were there grades given on there WHOLE CAREER overall. And I had took a look at those last week once I started scrolling and noticed there was nobody from our Hall of Fame littered defense I stopped growing cuz it’s a bunch of garbage and is often misleading as Joe would agree.
