  1. Godlovesbucs Says:

Hoping they find a way to get 2 players that can step in day 1 and contribute on the defensive side of the ball.

  2. QBKilla Says:

    Defense!!

  3. Durango 95 Says:

If they could get three packs tonight. Draft a corner, linebacker and defensive lineman that would cheer up a few of the frowning faces around here..

  4. buc4evr Says:

Anyone on defense, cab,lb,dt,edge. no kickers Jason. lol.

  5. Kevin Says:

I pray 🙏 GOD bless us with 2 defenses starters for opening day, this weekend.

  6. Dubcity Says:

I’ve lost faith they know what they’re doing this draft. That first round pick still has me shook. It made zero sense to me. Unless he’s one of the best WRs in the NFL, why not go for a position of much much much bigger need other than the 1 position the team is deepest as has so much money invested into.. I just don’t get it.

  7. DoooshLaRue Says:

Use Rd. 4-5-7 picks to trade up or back in to the 2nd and grab Swesinger and an Edge or CB.

  8. IrishPirate Says:

We need a run on offense so we can snag a top defensive player! Let’s go Bucs!!!!

  9. DoooshLaRue Says:

    Well hell!

  10. BayouBullet Says:

That sucked… He was my pick

  11. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    good thought though lol

  12. Lewis Says:

Next we pick s sanders. Coach defense fine we need to score more points.

  13. Josh Says:

Hoping for Emmanwori in the 2nd, Cobee in the 3rd, Nohl in the 4th, Jeffrey Bassa in the 5th, and Thor in the 7th (since we don’t have a 6th). If we did, I’d take JJ Pegues there. Wish we had more picks for Zah Frazier, Nick Martin, and Fadil Diggs, but hey, you can only work with so many picks, lol.

  14. BayouBullet Says:

And I read they were looking to trade back

  15. Hearty Dikerson Says:

There goes my ideal pick for round 2

  16. Jeffrey Becker Says:

nfl.com even had Donovan Ezeiruaku sliding to us

  17. DailyRich Says:

Saw a couple of mocks having us get Schwesinger, thought he might last longer.

  18. Jeffrey Becker Says:

how cool is warren moon for un-retiring his number

  19. buc4evr Says:

    Bucs need to trade up.

  20. Nillyboy133 Says:

Let’s draft a tight end or reliever best on board

  21. Josh Says:

That said, a smart pivot would be to **trade down**, target **Lathan Ransom**, and **pick up a 6th-rounder or two** in the process. Ransom brings flexibility and toughness to the secondary, making him a worthy alternative if Emmanwori is off the board or the team wants to play the value game.

By trading down, the extra picks could be used to go after guys like:
    – **JJ Pegues** – interior DL depth with athleticism
    – **Nick Martin** – a leader and tone-setter at linebacker
    – **Zah Frazier or Fadil Diggs** – high-upside pieces for depth and future development

It’s a numbers game at this point, and the more picks, the better the chances of landing multiple contributors. The board has talent — just need the ammo to go get it.

  22. DailyRich Says:

And a willing partner to make the trade.

  23. Josh Says:

Saw that coming as soon as the trade up happened hence my last post.

  24. BayouBullet Says:

One by one they are coming off the boardđŸ„ș

  25. Jeffrey Becker Says:

cud have traded 53 and 84 to titans for that pick apparently lol

  26. BucsFan81 Says:

Seattle took the Safety I wanted.

  27. Jeffrey Becker Says:

athletic calls him ‘best pick of the draft’ so far

  28. Beeej Says:

They always draft someone I’ve barely heard of

  29. Gipper Says:

Rumor is the Bucs will draft another wide receiver with 53rd pick. As many here have said: “ you can never have enough WR’s” Those guys are Dumb and Dumber.

  30. firethecannons Says:

Gipper so funny! concerned we may not get aa linebacker now ughhh

  31. Winny Testaverde Says:

Didn’t McCoy launch the full body hug movement with Roger The Dodger? A perfect pair

Will round 2 be cuteness a la 1st round or a defensive difference maker?

  32. BayouBullet Says:

    @Gibber

    LMAO

Who drafts a wr3 in the 1st round… The bucs

  33. Jeffrey Becker Says:

The Dolphins sent the Raiders picks Nos. 48 (second round), 98 (third round) and 135 (fourth round) to move up to No. 37.

  34. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Yep, losing good players one by one. This ain’t purty!

  35. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    keep taking RBs guys

  36. Jeff Says:

Target Punter, Kicker and Long Snapper. And then focus on special teams after that.

  37. Rod Munch Says:

I got good sources who say the Bucs are taking Trey Amos in round 2…

  38. Josh Says:

Two of the most underrated safeties in the 2025 NFL Draft are Oklahoma’s Billy Bowman Jr. and Ohio State’s Lathan Ransom. Bowman is a versatile, explosive defensive back who can play safety or corner and led the nation in interception return yards in 2023, including six INTs and three pick-sixes. His ball skills and range are elite, and while some scouts question his size and tackling, his playmaking upside is undeniable—making him a strong Day Two candidate. On the other hand, Ransom is a physical, smart, and consistent presence on the back end, known for his tackling and leadership at Ohio State. He may not wow in testing, but his reliability, football IQ, and scheme versatility make him a great value pick in the mid-to-late rounds. Both safeties bring unique, high-impact traits that could translate well in the NFL—yet they’re still flying under the radar in this year’s draft class.

  39. BelleGladeBuc Says:

What happens if Father Time comes calling for LVD this season?

  40. Jeffrey Becker Says:

what if watts is there at 53 josh. some scouts had him as top safety

  41. Wvbuc Says:

I would love the real meltdown and the trolls if Jason traded up and drafted Shadeur.

  42. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Why was the Bucs pick on the homepage before it even happened? It’s now take down, but it was there! CB.

  43. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I got good sources who say the Bucs are taking Trey Amos in round 2

Me too! It was on the homepage!

  44. richnucsfan Says:

Yes, I saw the same thing. I guess it was premature publication.

  45. Usfbucs Says:

The Joes are in on the rigged NFL!! They know the pick before it even happens!

  46. Jeffrey Becker Says:

was wondering which QB saints would take

  47. Rod Munch Says:

The Saints just took a QB born in the 90s? Wow…

  48. Canabuc Says:

    Wow Shough with Sanders there?

  49. Jeffrey Becker Says:

lots of stories/capsules in sitches like this are prewritten so they can be posted/published immediately

  50. Jeffrey Becker Says:

teams trying to prevent Deion from hanging out all the time?

  51. Rod Munch Says:

lots of stories/capsules in sitches like this are prewritten so they can be posted/published immediately

    ———

Yeah, I’m sure they do a bunch of different ones – doubt the Joes have been entrusted with the script for the draft.

  52. Jeffrey Becker Says:

as if he was LaVar Ball lmao

  53. DailyRich Says:

No, see, we heard someone behind us wants Amos, so we posted that article to make them think we’re going to take him and force a trade!

  54. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    sneaky daily!

  55. Usfbucs Says:

Lots of guys left that fill our needs

  56. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Man, Sanders, I’m guessing you’re realizing it ain’t good to be an a-hole.

  57. Jeffrey Becker Says:

Two Saints QB were born on the same day one year apart.

-Tyler Shough (25) was born Sept. 28, 1999

-Spencer Rattler (26) was born Sept. 28, 2000

Shough is eight days older than Trevor Lawrence, who is entering his fifth season in the NFL.

  58. Rod Munch Says:

Let’s hope Shedeur and some more RBs and TEs go before the Bucs pick – that would continue to push defensive guys down the board. There’s some names still out there I’d have been happy to get in the 1st round.

  59. Rod Munch Says:

    Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Man, Sanders, I’m guessing you’re realizing it ain’t good to be an a-hole.

    ———

I think the issue is more about him being a Teddy Bridgewater clone. Never got the 1st round hype on him, he just doesn’t have the arm or physical talent. Still, he might be a good QB if he was put into the right system.

  60. Usfbucs Says:

Sanders is a wild drop. Went from being potentially #1 overall to dropping like a rock.

  61. BayouBullet Says:

How does joebucsfan know the pic way before it happens… Wtf

  62. Rob M Says:

Watching Revel and Donovan Ez potentially fall to us 👀

  63. Jeffrey Becker Says:

Sanders was sacked 94 times over his last two college seasons.

  64. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

Just checked out a Saints board. About 90% of them hate the pick. Good, feel the hate.

Best comment was someone saying his ceiling is Derrick Carr.

  65. Joe Says:

    Donovan Ez

Remember, Jason Licht said he has “comfort” in his edge rushing depth. smh

  66. Jeffrey Becker Says:

New Orleans now has made itself the front runner in the “March to the Arch” sweepstakes in the 2026 NFL Draft

  67. Durango 95 Says:

    —–
    Lol. Is that for real..damn

  68. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    And we take…Sanders.

  69. Usfbucs Says:

I would love to see Licht pull off a trade if we have multiple guys fall to us and get back into the second round

  70. geno711 Says:

There is about 10 guys that us JBF prognosticators were saying for the Bucs to draft at 19 that have not gone.

Four Major ones seem to include:

    1. Mike Green
    2. Donovan Ezeiruaka
    3. Will Johnson
    4. Shavon Revel

  71. Jeffrey Becker Says:

yeah durango there’s a youtube of all of his sacks is like 19 mins long

  72. BayouBullet Says:

The Michigan CB is still available

  73. Aj Says:

i hope donovan is there for us to draft,
but wouldn’t mind burch either tbh
.

  74. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

    Geno, I love your thinking!

    ———-

HAHAHAHA! Love it! I might have to grab some Saints podcasts this weekend, I love fans having meltdowns and trying to justify awful picks.

  76. Jeffrey Becker Says:

cud possibly get burch in third?

  77. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

But, I am scared they will all be gone.

  78. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    doh damn boys

  79. Aj Says:

    damn
 dallas!

  80. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

    F
 there goes one

  81. Jeffs grandpa Says:

Oh no munch is going to be upset

  82. Rod Munch Says:

Well, that’s one big name gone. Ezeiruaka off the board.

  83. cho Says:

Ezeiruaju just went. Dallas tends to take players I like. Damn. Shavon Revel? Az Thomas? I don’t think we’d touch Mike Green… right?

  84. Vanessa Anne Says:

Well, there goes one of the defenders I was hoping we’d get, to the Cowboys.

  85. DailyRich Says:

I was just about to say there wasn’t a lot of edge need in front of us, I guess I jinxed us by thinkng it.

  86. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

How is Will Johnson on the board? Did he suffer a leg amputation we don’t know about?

  87. Destinjohnny Says:

    Do we draft a qb?
    Don’t laugh

  88. ChiBuc Says:

    GREEN

  89. Aj Says:

    alvin, he has turf toe

  90. DailyRich Says:

    Boy I really jinxed it.

  91. Jeffrey Becker Says:

i think johnson shouldn’t have skipped combine drills, or the rumor is true – Michigan CB Will Johnson Jr. has a knee issue that has concerned some NFL teams and helps explain why he still has not been selected

  92. ChiBuc Says:

Oh that’s right, we need girlscout green character

  93. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

I will go on record and say Milroe goes to the Seahawks and not Sanders at 52.

  94. Durango 95 Says:

Cowboys suck. Big Don from BC.

  95. Jorge Says:

There goes our DE from Boston to Dallas. Should
have moved up. Passing up Defensive
    Studs.

  96. mj Says:

all they guys we wanted for the defense are gone already

  97. Chris Says:

Where are all the people saying there are plenty defensive players left for round 3 and 3? Cause everyone is picking them today and imo that pick yesterday was a complete waste
if our defense constantly not getting off the field we can’t score points

  98. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

I understand there are injury concerns, but this is a special player. How about Green? Insane he’s still there, though he isn’t a choir boy.

  99. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

All the good defensive players are coming off the board quickly. We still
got a long way to go till we pick unless Licht moves up due to his silly 1st round pick.

  100. dbbuc711 Says:

    Kicker is next

  101. Mhystc Says:

Go get Mike Green or Xavier Watts

  102. firethecannons Says:

nobody wants any part of deion sanders and his bullsheet drama.

  103. Kenton Smith Says:

It’s a conspiracy and the other teams are snatching the defenders we had pegged!

  104. TheScourge Says:

Bucs didn’t need Ezeraku, they have Braswell. He’s gonna shock us.

  105. Jeffs grandpa Says:

Will Johnson a cardinal bye bye smb

  106. Jeffrey Becker Says:

rams peeps hating that pick of fergie wanted amos or even revel despite injury concern

  107. BayouBullet Says:

The bucs need to move on will Johnson

  108. geno711 Says:

Have more TE’s gone in this draft than Defensive Ends.

Maybe the GM’s disagree with the Joe’s about getting the edge rushers?

  109. Durango 95 Says:

    W Johnson. Cards

  110. BayouBullet Says:

Should have been out pick… What are we doing

  111. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

What are the red flags on Mike Green?

Honestly, I’m thinking this is small school time for Jason Licht

  112. TheBigSombreo Says:

    Damn… they ar3 all getting picked…

  113. ATrain Says:

Bucs take Sanders to build for future

    Ahhaha

  114. Jorge Says:

Way too much credit bestowed upon Licht.
We are passing up defensive players that we desperately need. We lost games last year because our sucky defense, not our offense

  115. Chris Says:

    Litch panicking now
every top db,lb and de is off the board within the first 30 mins of the 2nd round
we are not having a good draft

  116. DailyRich Says:

Did I miss the rule where teams in front of us have to trade with us because we really want to?

  117. Jeffrey Becker Says:

raiders have soooo many picks now wtf lmao. so jealous

  118. Ancient Says:

You all need to do your homework. JL ain’t touching Mike Green. Two prior sexual assault allegations, one in high school, another got him kicked out of Virginia. Reason he transferred to Marshall

  119. Rastaferian Jenkins Says:

Shavon Revel to our Bucs. If he’s there, we are gonna snag him

  120. Jorge Says:

Watch, our next pick is going to like..”What”? Really?
    Please let me be wrong.

  121. chark Says:

    darien porter

  122. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Right now, we suck! Who will we end up with? Hoping for Mike Green!

  123. Jeffrey Becker Says:

bucs will accidentally pick Tori Amos

  124. geno711 Says:

Wow — all the draft prognosticators were so wrong this year across the board.

  125. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Jorge Says:
    April 25th, 2025 at 8:17 pm
Way too much credit bestowed upon Licht.
We are passing up defensive players that we desperately need”

I hope you are not using any of the mocks or player rankings out there. They are usually wrong.

Jason Licht knows exactly what he is doing. We’re just not in on the plan.

  126. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

If Licht doesn’t take an Edge or Corner, he goes back to Bud Lite!

  127. Mhystc Says:

Grab Mike Green or Xavier Watts

  128. BayouBullet Says:

    Damn… Its going south quick

  129. ATrain Says:

    Bucs will trade back
Get Sanders in the 3 round
Then trade Trask for a top CB

  130. Aj Says:

    three picks away

  131. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    geno711 Says:
    April 25th, 2025 at 8:24 pm
Wow — all the draft prognosticators were so wrong this year across the board.”

    That’s the case every year.

  132. Woodman Says:

    Trey Amos

  133. Todd Bowls Says:

    Knight off the board

  134. Saskbucs Says:

    Amos Green Revel Watts
Alexander? Any of those will be solid picks imo. Would be nice to grab one of them that isn’t Watts and get Winston Jr in the 3rd.

  135. BayouBullet Says:

At least we get Trey Amos right Joe

  136. Michael Says:

Sorry but I believe in our GM knowing what he’s doing, time will tell. Go Bucs!

  137. Jeffrey Becker Says:

green, watts, revel, alexander, swinson, mukuba, porter still there

  138. Aj Says:

i still think jordan burch would be a solid pick

  139. Canabuc Says:

Well the way the draft has played out I could see us either taking OladeJo if we go edge or cornerback ( Revel Amos or if medically cleared Morrison)or safety either Winston or Watts.

    Think Green isn’t a Buccaneer?

  140. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Ok, maybe a DT and I won’t call him Bud Lite.

  141. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Small school time!

  142. El HEFE Says:

    Wr 5 in round 2

  143. geno711 Says:

Nic Scourton always felt like a Bowles guy to me.

  144. Shak Says:

    Wow he’s big

  145. Saskbucs Says:

    Panthers select Mike Green

  146. Todd Bowls Says:

Panthers just traded up to 51 to snake us

  147. IrishPirate Says:

At least we have options. Can’t wait to see who we pick. Go Bucs!!

  148. Jeagan1999 Says:

    Mike Green.

  149. Saskbucs Says:

They better not draft Oladjo over Green or Scourton or Swinson or Princely

  150. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The thing I like about Kicht is he doesn’t make splash picks…he makes solid picks.

  151. Jeffrey Becker Says:

Panthers gave up the most points in a single season in NFL history

  152. Shak Says:

    Dang

  153. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Panthers trade up for Nic.

  154. Durango 95 Says:

    Scourton to the Panthers.

  155. Saskbucs Says:

Panthers probably did poach us with Scourton or we have eyes for a CB
I guess CB is much more likely considering Licht and Bowles say we are fine at Edge and ILB!

  156. Jmarkbuc Says:

    Collins from TX.

  157. Coburn Says:

Maybe Joe will end up being right?

  158. Canabuc Says:

Well I think OladeJo can play ILB and edge and while raw still very good and can develop into a stud.

  159. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

    GREEN!!!
    Revel!
    Amos!
It better be one of those 3!

  160. Mhystc Says:

Ben, Xavier, Sheval or Mike Green

  161. Capt.Tim Says:

    Trey Amos.

Wish Joe would publish the rest of our picks- so I don’t have to waste my Saturday.

  162. Durango 95 Says:

    They are on the clock.

  163. Canabuc Says:

    Damn OladeJo gone

  164. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Trey Amos?

  165. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Saskbucs, we’re not fine at LB

  166. Aj Says:

    amos with this pick

    burch with the next

  167. Ancient Says:

See 8:20 comment when the oompa loompas are done deliberately sitting on comments…you’ll have you’re Green answer, late, due to them.

  168. Shak Says:

    Quick pick

  169. BucsFan81 Says:

Take Amos here and replace Dean please

  170. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

If it ain’t Mike Green he must have an arrest warrant for child molestation or something.

  171. DailyRich Says:

And OF COURSE they go to commercial.

  172. Chris Says:

He’ll draft another WR we didn’t need this year

  173. Woodman Says:

Always a commercial before Bucs pick

  174. Durango 95 Says:

    B.Morrisson ND

  175. Kidfloflo Says:

    every time!

  176. Curse of Gruden Says:

Commercial break before the Bucs pick. Every time.

  177. David Says:

So annoying. The last few years every time the Buccaneers are about to pick they go to commercial so they don’t spend minutes talking about them like they do every other team. And then last night, they spent the whole time talking about Sanders not being selected yet instead of what the Bucs might need.

  178. geno711 Says:

    Morrison to Bucs

  179. Woodman Says:

    Thanks Chris for update idiot.

  180. David Says:

    Chris

Why is there always gonna be some negative idiot like you? They’ve been the one of best drafting teams in football the last five years. But you know better
 Go watch lifetime network

  181. ATrain Says:

How do you join JoeBucs to Live comment?

  182. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    CBS morison

  183. Shak Says:

  184. Jorge Says:

    Told you…what??

  185. Mhystc Says:

Good pick would of been a first rounder if he wasn’t hurt

  186. Chris Says:

    đŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł

  187. David Says:

    CB! Excellent pick

  188. Pmike Says:

    Ballhawk. Great pick

  189. geno711 Says:

Regardless of the type of coverage, Morrison has terrific foot quickness and body fluidity to mirror early and regain phase late, allowing him to make plays on the football without panic. He shows a natural feel in coverage and understands play indicators to look and lean or read and drive. Overall, the play strength and durability concerns will follow him to the next level, but Morrison is an athletic, technically-sound cover man who works hard to stay attached to routes and make plays on the ball. As long as he stays healthy, he is a scheme-versatile NFL starter.

  190. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

Yup, if he is healthy, he is a great pick!

  191. Canabuc Says:

I guess they checked out his medical and he cleared because a healthy Morrison was probably a top three cornerback in this draft.

  192. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    Weaknesses
Lacks ideal arm length and play strength as a press corner.
Struggles to consistently mirror against sudden release fakes.
Below-average hips and feet to retrace routes from trail positioning.
Carries a slight stall before triggering to match route breaks.
Accessible throwing windows frequently open around him.
Below-average tackler, allowing too many additional yards.

    hate this pick

  193. Aj Says:

    cool with this pick

now we NEED to address edge

  194. FortMyersDave Says:

Benjamin Morrison, Bucs get a CB, I guess his medicals must have been okay.

  195. geno711 Says:

Great pick — Dude another character guy as well.

  196. Vanessa Anne Says:

    This works! 🙂

  197. Bucs Guy Says:

Good withe pick. Simeon looking good

  198. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I think Benjamin Morrison was Jason’s target all along.

  199. Curse of Gruden Says:

    Keep helping the D JL!
    Nice pick.

  200. Rastaferian Jenkins Says:

Add him to our pile of half-injured cornerbacks

  201. Mr. Editor Says:

Good pick! Some mocks had him going in the first round.

  202. Irishmist Says:

    A Fighting Irishman. I approve.

  203. Jeffrey Becker Says:

Morrison missed the Irish’s final 10 games after hip surgery

  204. Tim Says:

I trust Licht with WRs and DBs. That’s exactly what we’ve got till now. That’s two immediate contributors to this team.

Dean, McCollum, Morrison, Winfield and Smith as our starters. Love that!

  205. BucsFan81 Says:

Hope he is good medically we already got Dean made of glass who can’t stay on the field.

  206. Macout247 Says:

1st round talent at a discount. Love it.

  207. Jorge Says:

So we are all wrong… the fans, the draft gurus and all Vegas pronosticators…And Licht is right? Hummm

  208. D-Mac Says:

Great pick! They have somewhat redeemed themselves. Now time to get an ilb and dt with the next two picks

  209. buc4evr Says:

another injury prone CB. dumb pick. At least it wasn’t a kicker
. lol.

  210. Gofortheface30 Says:

Jeffrey Becker, just shut the f up. He was first team all American. As a FRESHMAN, and locked up Marvin Harrison Jr. literally every -single -player has a write up of weaknesses from scouts. Jesus Christ some people are never happy

  211. BayouBullet Says:

    Yawn

  212. Jeffrey Becker Says:

nextgenstats – Prospect Grade 6.20. Will eventually be average starter. would prefer more upside, but I always do. fingers crossed.

  213. Chris Says:

David, I played college ball. Meanwhile you sit there with your beer belly calling someone a idiot because I disagree with you, you think we’ve been one of the best drafting teams we had some good picks sure but we’ve damn sure had some bad bad ones and if it wasn’t for the Brady years then what? You a winston fan?
Go get you a football for dummies book come back, talk to me and if you do good you can read the 2nd edition.

  214. Jeffrey Becker Says:

face – it’s not a knock on him so much as the other options available. if they know he’s healthy it’s fine

  215. Bucsfan1988 Says:

I like this pic after the WR debacle last nite, lol!!!

Morrison is 1st round talent but that injury last year pushed his draft status down
.if he’s healed then we got some value here!!

  216. David Says:

LOL I love guys who look at the “negatives” in draft prospect reports like bleacher report or something like that. What is the point? If you read those you could convince yourself there’s no one who should be drafted.

Morrison is a first round talent, ball hawk, plays the run, and is smart.
    Outstanding!!

  217. Jorge Says:

So an injured player is better than several that are healthy and highly touted on defense?

  218. geno711 Says:

Another team captain voted on by the team.

They sure are building a culture. Love it.

  219. Bucsfan1988 Says:

Now we need to trade up in the 3rd & snag Darius Alexander, DT from Toledo!!!

  220. Lincoln Mezzenga Says:

Why did they put 10 ads on Bucs and not even show draft room

  221. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    Yes. Exactly.

    Especially the ‘Draft gurus’.

    Just check their past predictions.

  223. Dewey Selmon Says:

I don’t see anyone ever wearing Ronde’s #20, he’ll have to find a new one.

  224. Lincoln Says:

Why did the Bucs get 10 ads and they didn’t show the draft room

  225. geno711 Says:

Chris, you did not play any college ball for any team worthwhile and were never a team captain like the guys the Bucs are drafting.

Ok, to have an opinion but guess what – some of the folks that are very athletic — can also tend to be the most limited intellectually.

  226. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

The hip injury is the reason he fell to us. Licht turned in the pick very quickly, which means he was targeting his guy.

You can bet the Bucs did a lot of digging.

  227. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Hopefully, he’s healthy

  228. David Says:

    Chris
Guess what dumb ass, I played college ball too and guess what that means
Not a damn thing. Some of the best coaches never played ball and some of the worst ones did.
You don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. Go look at any analyst or ask any general manager throughout the NFL they’ll tell you the Bucs are one of the top five drafting teams. You want to point out a bad pick here and there, well newsflash twattard , 50% of the first round picks are going to bust out within 4 years so of course there are going to be some bad picks.
It is the amount you still have on your team and still in the NFL 5 years later and the Bucs have been absolutely outstanding.
So sit down and try to make an educated comment once in a while, if it’s too hard, just STF you and let your wife type

  229. Chris Says:

    David =keyboard warrior

  230. BayouBullet Says:

    @cChris

This site is overrun with feabke minded zealots Bucs could draft a tampon and they would say great pic just what we needed

  231. Drunk Bucs Fan Says:

    “I played college ball!”

    Ok, calm down Uncle Rico

  232. Jeffrey Becker Says:

seems we’re focused on high-character guys

  233. BayouBullet Says:

Maybe we will draft a starter in the 3rd round

  234. Curse of Gruden Says:

    Who didn’t play college ball?

  235. Lincoln Says:

Anyone else wondering about these long goofy bames

  236. Lincoln Says:

If your a true Bucs fan who is the greatest buc player of all time

  237. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    easy one i think

  238. Hearty Dikerson Says:

As long as the medicals check out, I like the pick. Comps to Marlon Humphrey, which if accurate, would be awesome.

  239. Lincoln Says:

    Who is it Jeffrey

  240. Jeffrey Becker Says:

Hearty – what we really need is hardy nickerson

  241. Hearty Dikerson Says:

Be really curious what they didn’t like about Amos. Seems like he would’ve been a perfect missing piece to this squad.

  242. David Says:

    Greatest buccaneer of all time
I say Derrick Brooks followed by Mike Evans.
Then in any order- Sapp, Barber, Lynch, LVD, Selmon.

  243. Jeffrey Becker Says:

i’d say LeeRoy unless you wanna debate the Gruden/Dungy teams

  244. Chris Says:

    @ Bayoubullet,
yeah probably some kid playing on his PC While his mom’s getting tore down in the next room.
I like Licht but I don’t think we are having a good draft, in my “experience” and imo I don’t think drafting a WR and then a db with hip injuries is doing good, hip injuries never go away.
That WR is a reallly good WR but we could’ve waited till next year for that.

  245. Lincoln Says:

    Can’t argue with that

  246. Mhystc Says:

I would love to trade back in, and Grab Mike Green or Xavier Watts and trade dean for a day 3 pick.

  247. Lincoln Says:

    I agree with david

  248. Jeffrey Becker Says:

brooks and ronde et all had so much talent around them and dungy. leeroy was such a standout at the time

  249. David Says:

Both of the first 2 picks are going to areas that have age and injury concerns so they’re going to get their share of playing time while being the future. Now they need an ILB for the same reason.

  250. Dewey Selmon Says:

My college was the military. bitches! lol

  251. Lincoln Says:

Who should the Bucs pick next
    Everyone answer

  252. Trask To The Future Says:

    CHECK THIS OUT…

If you search X for “Benjamin Morrison” you’ll see multiple posts with video that Morrison held a private workout 5 days ago for about 20 NFL Scouts – I assume the Bucs were there.

He took it into his own hands to do a little workout a few days before the draft to show scouts he is healthy and that he can move just fine again.

    Go search for it.

  253. Canabuc Says:

Again Morrison character guy team captain you look at his first two years he was absolutely unbelievable and was again having a good season cut short by injury.

He held a personal workout a few days ago to show potential teams that he is fully recovered from his hip injury. Clearly the Buccaneers did their homework and felt that he was not a medical risk. They literally got themselves a guy who had he not had that injury would have been a top 15 pick.

So had we picked him in the first round and Egbuka in the second round everybody would have been perfectly fine….

  254. Lincoln Says:

I think Bucs should get an edge but we’ll see

  255. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    thanks trask interesting

  256. Lincoln Says:

Anyone know why broncos keep trading picks

  257. Lincoln Says:

    Jeffrey do you know why

  258. Canabuc Says:

Now we need to go either safety edge or detachle or linebacker in the third whichever is the best positional value at the time.

At safety we might have the Texas safety still there
At linebacker Chris Paul or Jeffrey Bassa
at Jack Campbell or the Arkansas guy.

  259. Rod Munch Says:

Damn, can the NFL stop with all the death dedications? I’m trying to watch this for enjoyment, not to hear a bunch of sob stories. It’s not as bad as a few years – but who the hell enjoys this? I just want to hear about prospects talents, combine numbers and see highlights. Why is that so hard?

  260. Rod Munch Says:

For Morrison, this is a heck of a stat… He allowed a 44.1 NFL passer rating for his career while playing 1,546 total snaps in 26 games.

  261. Jeffrey Becker Says:

lincoln i know yesterday on their pages they were talking about trading 1 for 3…. they must like (as i do) the third/fourth round possibilities. i think they got 130 by moving down only like 3 spots? i’d do that anytime

  262. Canabuc Says:

And 9 picks in 31 games iirc.

  263. Lincoln Says:

To be fair the people there talking about passed away so yea it can be boring but still

  264. Rod Munch Says:

How do you have a guy who is 450lbs doing a promo about child hunger? This show has some really bad booking.

  265. Jeffrey Becker Says:

hope the ravens looked into the green allegations at Virginia. shannon sharpe’s in deep kaka right now, scary investment

  266. Lincoln Says:

The Bucs went wide receiver with Emeka Egbuka in the first round, which makes sense with how they’ve been building around Baker and keeping the offense solid. But I really think their next move in the second round is going to be defense—probably edge or linebacker. Guys like Donovan Ezeiruaku or Nic Scourton would fit well, especially since Tampa’s pass rush hasn’t been super consistent. They’ve shown interest in building up that side of the ball, and with the depth in this draft at edge, it feels like a smart place to go next.

  267. Lincoln Says:

    I meant 3rd

  268. Aj Says:

of course the ravens draft green lol

  269. Rod Munch Says:

Mike Green fell because of some alleged bad behavior, no idea if it’s legit or not, but going to the Ravens means he’s probably going to be awesome. Although him crying is embarrassing – that alone would take him off my draft board. I want someone who is p/o after sliding that far, not crying like a girl who gets a new bike for her 6th birthday.

  270. chark Says:

I swear every year I am like ..damn these certain players always fall to the ravens. I almost always end up loving their picks every year.

  271. Rod Munch Says:

RJ Harvey off the board – way higher than the draft rankings had him. I know watching his highlights, he looked so good, I had no idea why he was ranked so lowly and had like a 4th round grade. I was secretly hoping that he’d slide and slide and slide and the Bucs would take him in the 5th.

  272. Alvin Scissors Harper Says:

For the record, I did not play college ball, but I did play college BONG!

  273. Chris Says:

I would’ve gambled on Green more than we gambled on Morrison

  274. Jorge Says:

So Mike Green is not good enough for us but good enough for the Ravens…continually one of the best defenses in the NFL…hummm

  275. Trask To The Future Says:

    MORE BENJAMIN MORRISON INFO…

I’ve been doing some digging on X for past posts about him…

There’s video of his teammate saying how he’s been a big mentor for him. Apparently Morrison is very religious (Christian). Looks like he was quite the leader for the Notre Dame team. Another very high character guy for the Bucs.

    ALSO…

In the 2023 football season when Notre Dame played Ohio State, ND put Morrison on OSU’s best WR, Marvin Harrison, Jr. (who ended up the first WR taken last year, 4th overall pick) and Morrison COMPLETELY SHUT HIM DOWN.

Here are the stats from that matchup:

    3 Targets
    1 catch
    2 PBUs
    7 Yards

  276. unbelievable Says:

Damn Rod, that is quite the stat!

Let’s just hope he can stay healthy… or at least healthier than Dean

  277. Jeffrey Becker Says:

maybe peyton trying to recreate alvin kamara surprising pick

  278. Tim Says:

Those are already been drafted Lincoln lol.

  279. Lincoln Says:

    Oh whoops

  280. Jorge Says:

And the Commanders who beat our ass take Trey Amos…not good enough for us. Gee, Litch you are killing it.

  281. Lincoln Says:

  282. Lincoln Says:

That’s. What I get for using ai to find out things about the draft lol

Sucks for fantasy football, since he’s not going to be a sleeper pick anymore. Going to the Broncos with their need at RB, Harvey is going to have a huge rookie year.

  285. Lincoln Says:

Yea we really need an edge tho

  286. Jeffrey Becker Says:

harrison got hurt blocking just after halftime and mccord was not really settled in at QB yet but still impressive

  290. Rod Munch Says:

You guys having an issue with Morrison are dopes. The guy was absolutely a 1st round pick before he got hurt, and getting him in the 2nd half of the 2nd round is great value. Green, without the off the field drama, would be my pick – but you got to assume that Green slide from the middle of the 1st to the end of the 2nd for a reason, and those rumors are more than just rumors. Also that full body ugly face cry was ridiculous, I don’t trust any man that does that.

  291. Lincoln Says:

Still pumped Mike Evans’s got 1000

  292. Tim Says:

Reddick, Diaby, Braswell and Nelson are our guys. Some young backups behind them. I ain’t worried.

    ——–
I don’t watch college football at all, just pay attention during the draft cycle since I love reading scouting reports and watching film – and I had never heard of Harvey, and was just looking at guys that were 4th or 5th round targets that maybe the Bucs end up with, and watching his tape, he looked so good, I could not believe he had such a low grade when combined with his workout numbers. Obviously I was right and the ‘experts’ were wrong since he ended up going in the 2nd.

Watts or Winston Jr or Arkansas edge? Or Toledo Dt?

  304. Rod Munch Says:

We’ll see who is there in the 3rd round, but I’m likely not bothering with an edge rusher – they rarely workout at this point and your hit rate on corners, safeties and ILB’s is off the board in this range. I really like Winston, if he slid that far, he’d be my pick. Also if some corners continue to fall, I’d double up. At LB, I really like Jeffrey Bassa and perhaps he falls to the 4th – hard to project this far out.

  305. Aj Says:

if sanders is available in the 5th rd (lol)
    we should take a swing

May he embody an exceptional blend of ethical fortitude and moral grandeur, setting new standards of excellence both on and off the field. Through his profound commitment and exemplary character, may he not only meet the historic legacy of our team but elevate it to unprecedented heights, inspiring both teammates and fans alike.

  313. Chad Stone Says:

Need to get Danny Stutsman (LB, OU) and Jack Sawyer (EDGE, OSU)both in this round. Trade White if you can get a second pick this round. Both I feel will be big-time starters in the NFL for the next decade!

  316. Aj Says:

    right?!

  317. Aj Says:

still, wouldn’t mind dropping a 5th or 6th on him

he’s def athletic and would and another wrinkle for us offensively

I think we go BPA in this round. With remaining players my top 5 choices would be:

    Xavier Watts
    Smael Mondon Jr
    Cam Skattebo

  331. Rod Munch Says:

I’m supposed to believe these Buffalo sweathogs know who a third-round defensive end is? Please. Half of them couldn’t spell ‘edge rusher’ if you spotted them the E and the R. They’re just screaming because someone pointed a camera at them.

Skattebo would be a new toy for Mayfield in the 5th round.

    ———

I don’t get the hype on Skattebo – watching his highlights, he’s not big enough to be an NFL powerback and he looks slow. He does make people miss for some reason, I really don’t get it, but I saw him highly ranked on the mock drafts, above a bunch of backs that already went, and I really didn’t understand it. But as a 5th, sure, why not, he might be a decent short yardage back if he puts on about 20 pounds of muscle.

  333. Tim Says:

No need for trading White. I would use Skattebo more as a fullback.

  334. Jeffrey Becker Says:

interesting tim. i like tucker in that quasi-role tho can’t wait to see him get more carries

  335. geno711 Says:

Jack Sawyer seems like another culture fit. Old school football player that would play multiple positions along the Bucs defensive line.

  336. Aj Says:

  337. Aj Says:

    oof, damn boys

  338. Jeffrey Becker Says:

  339. Rod Munch Says:

  344. Aj Says:

should roll the dice on nohl if he’s available when we pick
can never have too many db’s

  345. Mhystc Says:

Also edge pass rusher, Bradyn Swinson

  346. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    nice pick texans

  347. David Says:

The reality is no one knows anything about the majority of the players from here on out. There’s a few that we all know from watching college ball but how they grade towards the pros at this point, who knows. I’ll trust the Buccaneers fantastic track record as of late.

The best I can do is look at what the Bucs need. ILB is the most glaringly obvious position that needs help because I find it hard to believe SirV and LVD will remain healthy all year. Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a lot of good ILB’s left. Personally, I wanted Jihaad in the first, but with Godwin injury and Evans age, no problem with the wide receiver pick.

I would not be shocked if they go D or O line. There is always depth there, and you can never have too many of each.

  348. Canabuc Says:

Watts and Winston Jr are still both there so if we want one of them we can pick them otherwise Edge I see Jack Sawyer.

  349. Jeffrey Becker Says:

Bowles said he wants ballhawks. There’s no safety in this draft that’s a better ballhawk than Xavier Watts. I said it.

  356. Rod Munch Says:

    Dang you stupid TITanS.

  357. Jeffrey Becker Says:

texans now have Xavier Hutchinson and Jayden Higgins and Jaylin Noel, all from ISU haha

  358. Todd Bowls Says:

    Watts please

  359. bucsfantim Says:

Winston Jr. gone. Fine. Let’s get WATTS

  360. Canabuc Says:

    Damn Winston Jr gone

  361. Badbucs Says:

BPA could be anybody at this point.

  362. BucsFan81 Says:

I want Watts go get him with Winfield

  363. Jeffrey Becker Says:

at least steelers don’t need a safety. probably lol

  364. Canabuc Says:

    Please don’t pick Watts Pittsburgh

  365. Tim Says:

Tykee Smith is gonna play safety next season so why would we draft a safety this high? Slot corner / Edge / LB would be the better and more logical options.

  366. Mhystc Says:

Winston Jr to the titans, grab watts

  367. Canabuc Says:

Okay so if we want Watts we get them to pair up with Morrison Iwould be amazing

  368. bucsfantim Says:

Steelers go with Caleb Johnson. Which means Watts is HERE for us now in the 3rd!

    It would be HUGE!

  369. Jeffrey Becker Says:

munch – wud likely be jared wilson i guess at this point? want watts though

  370. Canabuc Says:

    @Tim
If you draft what you keep taking in the slot which is where he was drafted to play.

  371. Simeon4HOF Says:

Hope we take the ND Safety Watts to go with Benjamin ..

  372. Rod Munch Says:

Wow, they didn’t go to commercial for our pick.

  373. Jeffrey Becker Says:

    there’s your double dip

  374. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    2 CBs. Yikes

  375. David Says:

Back to back CB! Dean is on notice!

  376. Mhystc Says:

Another CB ? Dean is gone.

  377. Tim Says:

    Watts, Carter or Sawyer.

  378. Pmike Says:

    Dean is sweating now!

  379. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Jacob Parrish? ok, can’t be mad at that

  380. Canabuc Says:

    What the f?

  381. Dewey Selmon Says:

    A 5’9 CB?

  382. bucsfantim Says:

Jacob Parrish?? Damn! I really thought Watts would have been insane here

  383. Rod Munch Says:

OK, doubled up at corner. I liked Parrish. I wonder if this means Tykee Smith is in fact moving to safety.

  384. Canabuc Says:

Why draft the tiny slot Corner when you have a ball Hawk safety available

  385. Mhystc Says:

Would have loved Watts, hes a ball hawk.

  386. Badbucs Says:

    Time for commercial.

  387. bucsfantim Says:

Of course they go to commercial for our pick

  388. Pa Privateer Says:

I am ok with a double dip at CB but 5’9″?

  389. bucsfantim Says:

    I really wanted Watts 🙁

  390. Simeon4HOF Says:

    Welp, Dean ain’t safe

  391. geno711 Says:

I think you are correct Munch. Smith moving to safety like he played at Georgia.

  392. bucsfantim Says:

Parrish ran a 4.35 I think they really like his athletic traits

  393. Saskbucs Says:

Over Williams who KC quickly pounced on and Watts. Interesting. I liked the rundown on Parrish
must be another high character guy.

  394. Badbucs Says:

    Nice pick. Dean now expendable?

  395. BucsFan81 Says:

A slot CB probably could have got him in the 4th round SMH. At least Dean is gone now.

  396. Woodman Says:

Watts profile on espn says he is not a ballhawk

  397. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    I like it.

  398. Jeffrey Becker Says:

he’s crazy athletic, but yeah is a bit weird. he has a higher prospect rating than morrison on nextgen, and lance zuerlein had him going in the second, so there’s that

  399. Tim Says:

Every draft you guys bash Licht and call for players who then make zilch impact the next season. Trust your FO.

Parrish is one of the fastest DBs in this years draft with a lot of upside. If Bowles with his knowledge think he’s our guy than he probably will be.

They already said Tykee is moving to safety. So your DBs will be this:

    Safeties: Winfield and Smith
    Cornerbacks: Dean, McCollum, Morrison
    Slot: Parrish

  400. David Says:

    5’10” 190-200
    4.35 speed and real quick.

Excellent. Dean better start strong and stay healthy

  401. Simeon4HOF Says:

Tykee Smith is definitely our Starting Safety

  402. Bucsfan1988 Says:

I think they moving Tykee Smoth to the other safety position with Winfield
.

This kid Parrish is gonna be the slot corner for us!!

  403. Rod Munch Says:

A slot CB probably could have got him in the 4th round SMH. At least Dean is gone now.

    ———-

Why would drafting a position to give you depth, that you need badly, mean you’re going to cut your starter? That would be literally retarded.

You dopes who hate Dean have no idea what you’re watching, or the history of rookie corners.

  404. David Says:

    Woodman
One INT this year, 4 last year, not bad.
Apparently, he’s fantastic in press coverage because of his speed so doesn’t get a lot of balls thrown his way

Plus another one who will get his nose dirty in the run.

  405. Trask To The Future Says:

    BUH BYE, JAMEL!

  406. Jeffrey Becker Says:

maybe jason likes how these two corners are so different from each other. big guy vs speed guy, etc

  407. Simeon4HOF Says:

With S set Bucs needed another slot CB to go with Izien.
    Nice pick

  408. David Says:

    Munch

Exactly. Dean is the starter. He is just on notice to step up from last year and stay healthy.
CB and wide receiver room both suddenly are outstanding with needed depth

  409. Rod Munch Says:

Whitehead is still available right, no one signed him? The Bucs should bring him back on a vet minimum deal and hope he can get healthy. Hard to believe he is completely washed up at his age – at worst he’d give you a veteran backup. Not saying to give any big deal, but last year he was never really healthy, so I’d give him another shot so long as his attitude is good.

  410. Jeffrey Becker Says:

weren’t bucs like 1 and 4 without dean or something? or winless even?

  411. geno711 Says:

Reminder for all the genius’ here who know more than Jason Licht.

Here is a smattering of comments after we picked Bucky last year:

    Brandonbucc Says:

Well, this draft is over. Got one guy to play center. The rest are losers.

    DavidBigBucsFan99 Says:
    April 27th, 2024 at 11:31 pm
Looking at Irving’s and Davis’ highlights it seems to me Irving was picked to protect White starting spot because Davis would sue enough take it from him. Bucky is cute and shifty got some speed but Davis is definitely better and more than shifty enough. Looks like coaches protecting their decision to make White something he’s not, a starting caliber rb. The fact the coach who worked with Davis wasn’t allowed to draft him says a lot about Licht and Blowles.

    BucsFan Says:
    April 27th, 2024 at 1:56 pm
Actually this is Lichts’ 1st really questionable pick. Bucky is slow, would rather run through a wall than around it, and is not ready for NFL pass protection duty. Not seeing this one at all.

    Simeon4HOF Says:
    April 27th, 2024 at 2:10 pm
Highlights look nothing special, against college competition at that

    Proudbucsfan Says:
    April 27th, 2024 at 2:42 pm
I don’t like this pick, nor did I like the slot corner in the third. The receiver we picked is injury prone

    unbelievable Says:
    April 27th, 2024 at 3:29 pm
Can he hold up in the NFL though?
    Those highlights look great
against scrubs who can’t tackle and won’t be playing in the NFL. What’s he going to be able to do against a real defense?

    Oneilbuc Says:
    April 27th, 2024 at 3:48 pm
This was a bad pick he’s short and slow!! Licht just don’t know how to pick runningbacks.

  412. Pa Privateer Says:

Now that I am settled down from my hoping for certain players, I really don’t have a problem with 2 corners at all. In fact every time I played with a mock draft simulator, I always picked at least 2 corners.

So if our defensive backs can hold coverage for another 1-2 seconds then our front 7 will look way better and start getting to the QB.

  413. David Says:

Next pick completely depends on availability. I would imagine they want ILB but a lineman on either side of the ball would probably be best available.

  414. Mhystc Says:

Who goes to the slot ? Morrison ? or Zyon ? unless dean gets traded. which I doubt. Licht spoke highly of dean at the combine. Or was it Bowles..

  415. Canabuc Says:

I guess this means that in round four and round five we’re going to attack the front seven of the defense..

I would love us to get Thor at defensive tackle and one of Chris Paul or Jeffrey Bassa at linebacker

  416. Mhystc Says:

Hoping Chris Paul Jr, Jeffrey Basa or Barrett Carter are there in the 4th.

  417. TheBigSombreo Says:

    2 CBs in row! Awesome!

  418. David Says:

You also have to look at Smith going to safety, Winfield and SirV healthy
With Reddick added and a healthy Braswell and Yaya stepping up – definitely has the makings of something great.

Personally, I want to see what Kancey can do healthy all year. The dude has been a wrecking ball when he’s in there healthy.

  419. unbelievable Says:

Feels like they reached a bit
 again.

    Guess we will see.

  420. David Says:

I notice a lot of people calling for Carter or Basa. I would not mind that at all, both remind me of LVD. Undersized and fast and great in coverage, which is desperately needed in the middle of the field.
Decent against run because of speed.

Don’t know if either will be there though.

  421. Josh Says:

LB 4th unless Sawyer is available, in which case LB 5th. A safety or another LB/CB could go 5th or 7th. I really want Thor, and I genuinely believe he’s the steal of the draft. However, this class is ridiculous. The idea that it’s ‘not deep’ to me is misleading—Deone Walker is still available, along with Farmer. There are so many 6th-year seniors in this draft who may not possess the ideal height, weight, or speed, but are ready to step in and start on day one due to the impact of COVID. This draft class is truly exceptional. In my opinion but, only time will tell…

  422. Pa Privateer Says:

    I would be ok with

LB Chris Paul Jr, Jeffrey Bassa or Jack Kiser.

Late late round Edge: Sai’vion Jones, Elijah Williams and Johnny Walker

DT: CJ West, Tonka Hemingway, or Thor Griffin

  423. BucsFan81 Says:

This is why I am hating on Dean. He has knee issues and played a total of 12 games last season. Yes he could get replaced since we drafted 2 CB. They are paying Dean 12.5 million for the 2025 season. Don’t think they are going to dish out that kind of money if he can’t stay on the field.

  424. David Says:

    Bucsfan

I get it. If you’re not healthy what’s the point? When he is healthy, he is definitely an above average cornerback.

I don’t think he goes anywhere because of the depth, but I do think his days are numbered

  425. David Says:

    WOW

Deion Sanders must be going crazy right about now.
I feel bad for the kid. Had a bunch of people telling him he’s a first rounder when that wasn’t reality. If you watch him, he has a strong arm and can make most throws
That was about it. Decision-making wasn’t great, he would scramble and extend plays, but he held onto the ball too long and too often. I am surprised he has slipped this far though.
I think some of that has to do with his dad, it’s just added drama a lot of teams don’t want to deal with.

  426. Rod Munch Says:

Why at this point would you cut Dean?

Now, if they could trade him for like a 4th, maybe even a high 5th, sure, I could listen to that, but people who just think Dean is the issue, and not the scheme, you’re nuts.

The one point you can make for trading Dean, if you were able to do so, is that any rookie can stand flat footed like Bowles wants in his awful super soft garbage zone defense.

But just cutting Dean is literally stupid and makes no sense.

  427. Badbucs Says:

8 mil deadcap hit to cut him. It’s cheaper to keep her.

  428. David Says:

Wow, now Dillon Gabriel just went before Sanders. Deion is hitting the bottle.

  429. Rod Munch Says:

    ————

I did not see that, I saw a Teddy Bridgewater clone, if anything I think he doesn’t really have an NFL deep ball. Now, that doesn’t mean you can’t throw deep, but to throw deep in the NFL you have to not only air the ball out, but throw with velocity.

BUT, I will say in the Bucs offense, which is a quick pass offense, you really don’t need a huge arm. After Luke got hurt last year, and Sucke was blocking about as well as a traffic cone put on the field, Coen changed up the gameplan before that Eagles game and went to a quick strike offense, and that’s when everything really took off for Tampa. In a scheme like that, I think Sanders might do well – except for Rob Johnson vibes. If you remember Rob Johnson, that awful QB just held and held the ball and took to long to do anything, and Sanders took a ton of sacks instead of getting the ball away. Not sure if it’s a processing issue, or coaching, but that’s got to scare teams, a lot.

If he’s still there in the 4th, I wouldn’t mind the Bucs snagging him as long as it’s known to everyone he’s strictly a 3rd team backup.

  430. Rod Munch Says:

Dang, Watts going to the Falcons, they are loading up on defense to stop the Bucs.

Hopefully they bust on all of them.

  431. Mhystc Says:

    – Rod. I hope so too. But I really think they hit on Watts. I think he’s going to turn out to be the best Safety in this draft. I really believe that.

  434. Badbucs Says:

Going to take more than a team full of rookies to stop this offense. Good luck ATL. Not.

  435. Tim Says:

Zero ball knowledge across this forum. Last year you were saying Irving, Smith and McMillan were busts and bad picks. Can’t take this seriously. Trust your FO. We got 3 starters already.

Going to take more than a team full of rookies to stop this offense. Good luck ATL. Not.

    ———

Yeah, a bunch of rookies all playing at the same time generally leads to disaster, particularly early in the season. Doesn’t at all mean I think they’re bad picks – I don’t – but it’s unlikely to help them much this upcoming season. Hopefully the Bucs play the Falcons twice, early in the year – and with that said, the NFL will probably give us matchups vs them in weeks 14 and 17.

  437. Rod Munch Says:

Take a look at the 2019 Bucs draft…

Round 1, Pick 5: LB Devin White, LSU.
Round 2, Pick 39: CB Sean Murphy-Bunting, Central Michigan.
Round 3, Pick 94: CB Jamel Dean, Auburn.
Round 3, Pick 99: DB Mike Edwards, Kentucky.
Round 4, Pick 107: DE Anthony Nelson, Iowa.

The Bucs defense, in the first 10 games of the 2019 season, relying on those guys, was literally on a historically bad pace as they learned how to play in the NFL.

However, it turned out to be a great draft.

Hopefully the Falcons don’t do that, and they bust on all their picks, finish in the bottom 5 of the league and everyone can point at laugh at them when they’re having to ship off their first rounder to LA. That would be the best possible outcome for everyone, including Falcons fans, who should just learn to accept that they’re failures and will never win anything.

  438. Tim Says:

Candidates for round 4 to 7

    Ty Robinson – DT
    Jack Sawyer – DE
    Barrett Carter – LB
    Cody Simon – LB
    Joshua Farmer – DT
    Smael Mondon Jr – LB
    Will Howard – QB
    Malachi Moore – SAF

  439. Simeon4HOF Says:

    @Geno

Yep. I didn’t know much about Bucky Irving, thought we needed a bigger back at the time. He was the one pick last year I was questionable about.
    Glad he proved me wrong.

Wow dude. You must have a lot of time on your hands lol. Like a lot lol

  440. bucsfantim Says:

If we are going to take an edge in this draft, Jack Sawyer fits the needs that we still have with Gholston not re-signed, also his fire and he’s another “Character guy” that we know Licht and Bowles have been all about.

For LB, my favorite option still available heading into Rd 4 is Danny Stuttsman.

I’m gonna get flamed for this… But I honestly would love for us to find a way to pick Cam Skatteboo. Him with Bucky and White would give us an insane toolbox in the backfield.

  441. Beeej Says:

I don’t mean to BRAG, but yeah, I went to community college

  442. unbelievable Says:

    @Jeffrey Becker-

Yes when the Bucs lost Dean, Evans, and Godwin, they lost that game plus their next 3 games straight, leading up to the bye week. Following the bye, both Evans and Dean came back and we won 4 or 5 of our next 6 games…

  443. Simeon4HOF Says:

    So, we could go …

Sanders in the 4th to battle Trask,
An ILB DT in Rd 5
    And Shilo in the 7th.
With Sanders the Coach in waiting once Todd Retires after we win the SB with Baker.
Sure alotta fans who hate the Deion family would love this lol
