“I’ve Never Stopped Loving You”

Antonio Brown

It was a solid and emotional seven-catch night for Antonio Brown at New England, with a 40-yard bomb called back because of an offensive line penalty and a game-winning touchdown passs dropped.

But Joe was more intrigued by what happened after the game.

Against the Belicheats, (Brown’s former team for a handful of weeks before he was suspended by the NFL) Brown was mic’d up. The video and audio is here.

After the final whistle, Brown greets Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels with “Jooosssssshhhh” and open arms. Then McDaniels proceeds to embrace him and loudly say, “I’ve never stopped loving you.”

Then Brown is seen with Bill Belicheat and the iconic head coach telling Brown that they are good and extending a hand to him. Brown by telling Belicheat how much honor and respect he has for him.

The behind-the-scenes world of the NFL is an interesting place.

Brown is seen near the bench during the game, multiple times in the video, trying to build new cornerback Richard Sherman’s confidence. Per the video editing, one is led to believe Sherman might have been hanging his head a bit during his Bucs debut.

Sherman played fantastic considering the circumstances. Heroic actually

  2. BucsCoolade Says:

Brown was boned by the NFL.. they kept a suspension hanging over his head over non confirmed claims and BS. So no team including NE could manage the situation. And his career was screwed when they could have just issued a 4 game suspension and ended it.. IMO

  3. Rod Munch Says:

Kinda cool seeing Brown really talk Sherman on the sideline — but I was kind of surprised that Sherman had anytime to sit around the WRs, you’d think the coaches would be on top him the moment he walked off the field trying to teach him the defense.

    Panthers got Gilmore. Pffffft

  5. Listnfrmafar Says:

Gilmore gone to Panthers, NOT good for Bucs.

  6. Smashsquatch Says:

AB A+ as a teammate. 180 degrees from the portrayal he deservedly earned after leaving Pittsburg. Good for him, always good to see one recognize their faults and make the necessary adjustments.

  7. Jason From Jamrock Says:

Sherman was probably knackered (to borrow a British term).
Him was tiyyyaaad, to borrow a Jamaican term.

  8. SlyPirate Says:

Medicated Pete … I agree. Sherman outperformed every expectation.

  9. based weeb Says:

Sherman was talking in his podcast. Said he knows it wasn’t his best work. And admitted his legs were shot in the 4th quarter. Which is expected after three days of practice. He sung the praises of our safeties especially Whitehead

  10. Listnfrmafar Says:

AB is a stud, uncharacteristic for him to drop that TD, he has made a living making those. Bucs new #1 receiver. Sherman played great for coming off the couch. He made some good hits. The PA on him was BS. Great addition.

  11. webster Says:

you can look at sherman on the bench and see he was tired. It had nothing to do with confidence. He was struggling to just talk to AB he was so gassed. AB was just trying to drag sherman to the finish line. Great teammate

  12. Buczilla Says:

I see Brown in a whole new light now. How can you not like the guy after watching that video? Thnx Joe’s, great stuff.

  13. Buc4evr Says:

Sherman was a hero and will only get better. As far as Gilmore that’s the last place I wanted him to go.. but at least Sherman won’t be PO’d about Gilmore getting a better deal here than he did. lol.

Now we know the real reason Gilmore started following the Bucs on IG.

  14. Chris Boyd Says:

holy crap pete, i actualy kinda agree with something you said. i know it looks like sherman got torched, but in that scheme thats what we give up is that short stuff. and hes only been back for 3 days, and he was still right next to those guys. in a couple weeks he’ll be close to himself again. im just glad he didnt get hurt, i was worried about a soft tissue injury coming and playing a full game right off the strets

  15. Bucsfan1988 Says:

Gilmore traded to CAROLINA for 2023 6th round pic!!!

  16. D-Rome Says:

Sherman played fantastic considering the circumstances. Heroic actually

    I agree with this.

  17. Listnfrmafar Says:

It may take a few days to get rid of the soreness

  18. VSyl Says:

Sherman was indeed a hero, playing like he did, with so little time and training. Anyone that says he was bad, should stop for a moment and think a little.

  19. Robert Says:

    Nice video. great team player!

  20. BucsCoolade Says:

^^^ Brady also was screwed by NFL for deflategate.. which I think helped to create.the bond between those guys.. when other teams wanted nothing to do with AB.

  21. unbelievable Says:

Yup, I have zero issues with how Sherman performed after being back in football for a whole 3 – 4 days.

And AB seems like a fantastic teammate. Literally getting every guy pumped from the QB to receivers to linemen to the defense and special teams guys.

  22. DaBux Says:

Look for AB and Sherman to light it up this weekend (weather permitting).

  23. cmurda Says:

No argument here. Sherman was excellent. Super pumped that he’s on the team.

  24. David Says:

    Brown really has matured.

As for Sherman, I saw his press conference. It just seemed like he was probably mostly disappointed because he has to get in game shape to be able to do what is brain is telling him to do.

Anyway, for what they had to put on the field, the secondary did pretty damn good. They had no choice but to play back and give up stuff underneath.
As time goes on and players heal, like we saw at the end of last year, they’ll play tighter
