Green Bay Or Bust!

January 16th, 2021

It’s official.

The road to the Super Bowl in Tampa will go through Lambeau Field.

The Packers, the NFC’s No. 1 seed, wiped out the Rams this evening to lock up their second consecutive trip to the conference title game. They’ll either play the Saints or our beloved Buccaneers next weekend in Green Bay.

Joe would have loved to see the Rams score the upset, so a Bucs victory tomorrow against the Saints would have meant a home game in Tampa next weekend. But Joe is actually eager to see Green Bay again. And why the hell not! The Bucs blew them out in October and Joe’s not about to pretend that was a fluke.

If nothing else, the Bucs will be able to head to Green Bay with confidence — and hopefully a scarf. The forecast for Green Bay next is for highs in the low 20s next weekend.

First, the Bucs must knock off the Saints tomorrow, a tall but doable task that would be one of the great victories in franchise history.

Well we gotta hope saints blowing us out doesn’t happen again and then hope we can do it to green bay again… Fingers crossed

Joe said “And why the he11 not! The Bucs blew them out in October and Joe’s not about to pretend that was a fluke.”

It will have to be in 26 degree weather and 30% chance of snow next Sunday. One good thing, is Brady is used to playing in cold weather. And surprise surprise…the Wisconson governor is going to let 20K fans into lambeau. However, I actually that will help the Bucs.

    Let’s play the Saints first

  4. Roy T. Buford Says:

Looking at tommorrow, I think we’ll know if the first quarter how this is going to shape up. Let’s hope it’s not like either one of the last 4 meetings.

See you at lambeau next Sunday at 3pm joe.

    The NFL is about stories:

Brady out-dueled future HOFs Brees, Rodgers and Mahomes on his way to his first Tampa Bay Super Bowl Ring.

    … and Heinicke

  7. Dewey Selmon Says:

Game starts 2pm Green Bay time, warmest time of the day if there is such a thing this time of year up there. At least Brady knows cold weather. Brees career comes to an end tomorrow.

Beat the best. Makes you the best.

Let’s hope that forecast in GB is pretty accurate for next week.
Bucs win tomorrow 42-38. Can’t predict next week until I see the weather.

This is how we beat the saints:
    Protect Brady
Pressure Brees, get ur arms up n deter down field observation, bat some passes down. Four man rush must bring it or come up with something creative. Quit playing passive zone defense.
Aggressively jam the receiver at the line
Violent gang tackling. No missed tackles
    Put a spie on Kamara
Don’t get played into getting a dumb roughing the passer penalty or let their defense provoke us to get a penalty
    Don’t turn the ball over
    Run the ball
Keep the ball outta Brees hand
    Watch out for trick plays
How bout we try a trick play
Play ur zone on kick off n punt teams. Make all extra points n field goals
    Take chances on 4th down
Hustle,Hustle,Hustle, quit waiting or watching thinking ur teammate will make the tackle.
Play AB the way the chiefs play Tyreek Hill
And yes, that’s how u beat the Saints, u gotta play a darn near perfect game.

Let’s just say Bucs get by NO, a very big task. GB coming off a bye now has an extra day of rest. How is that fair for whatever team wins tomorrow?

If Tampa Bay plays the Aints like they did the Pack earlier this season, i.e. a perfect game, Payton, Brees and the rest won’t know what hit ’em. 3 might as well be the charm for the Bucs even if they’re playing in HooDooland. They’ve earned it. Besides, Methuselah Brady is healthy; Methuselah Brees ain’t.
