“I See You Comin’ 52”

August 28th, 2018

It was a heck of a moment during the second quarter of the Bucs-Lions game on Friday night, one that might one day get on the ballot at the Trash Talk Hall of Fame.

There was America’s Quarterback on national television, barking out calls and checks at the line of scrimmage, including a callout to a Lions linebacker, “I see you comin’ 52!” It was a classic peek at cocky and confident Jameis Winston doing his thing in real-time with the CBS field microphones picking him. And yes, No. 52 did blitz.

Former Pro Bowl quarterback and CBS game analyst Trent Green loved Jameis’ antics and was all over it, instantly calling for an audio replay and expressing his approval.

On the 4th-and-inches play, Jameis was on the money with what he saw of the defense and scrambled for seven yards. Even Bruce Arians in the broadcast booth seemed impressed.

Joe wonders whether Jameis has done that kind of thing before with the Bucs.

You can hear the CBS audio via the video below.

i for one am going to welcome our future HOF back with a smile and a handshake, i am stoked for this season, and the return of the one and only famous jameis winston, all trolls, haters, naysayers, fair weather fans, nitpickers, armchair quarterbacks, disgruntled want to be’s, coulda shoulda woulda has been mofo’s, feminists, weak knee’d, nose picking, goober munching, six pack chugging, anti jameis, hillary voting, commie sob’s can buc off!!!!

  9. Lamarcus Says:

    Gunslingers

    Lol

  10. OneBuc55 Says:

Payton Manning + Brett Favre + Ben Rothlisberger = Jameis Winston

Jameis basically has 3 weeks to prepare for “Da Bears!”…I expect him to come back ready to make a throw rug out of’em…I pray we can manage a win or 2 without him…

  11. D-Rome Says:

Jw is just on a another level right now.

Agreed! The game is finally slowing down for him.

  12. BigPoppaBuc Says:

Loved that moment. Winston is definitely showing some moxy out there this preseason. His footwork looks crisp. His release a bit quicker and his throws have a little more touch. He’s always going to throw into. when he forces things. But he’ll make so many elite plays with the same mentality. Some have labeled him a bust I’ve always just labeled him as young and inexperienced. He’s taken his licks and seems to be ready to give the organisation a return on their investment.

  13. Robert Says:

yeah, I’m sure Brady would tell the defense he knows their play. NOT!

it shows he’s still cocky and immature. fitz is the better QB should grab the pom poms

  14. Godeep66 Says:

Snowflakes: it’s the preseason and he played against the second and third team. As a real QB once stated, relax. Don’t forget the Cleveland Browns were 4-0 last preseason and did not win a game on 2017. They were also lathered up about how well their QB (Deshone Kizer) performed during the preseason. Message from their head coach:
“This is not just for the moment,” Jackson said. “We hopefully can solve our quarterback issue. We’re going to get with DeShone and ride him through this.”

  15. Godeep66 Says:

    Robert: spot on

  16. Wausa Says:

I think most reasonable Buc fans see that Jamies is becoming the elite QB we all hoped he would become. I think its pretty exciting to see it happening.

  17. Skipper Says:

Not sure what you are talking about Robert, Calling out a blitz so his comrades can pick it up is very mature.

  19. JimmyJack Says:

I’ve noticed there are less Winston haters on the boards nowadays.

It’s not. a coincidence the voices have gotten quieter as Winston gets on the field and plAys well. If this kind of quaterbacking continues into the season the haters will be all but gone.

Yeah there will ways be a few stragglers either way. Call them what you will.

  20. Robert Says:

he identified a blitzing LB. hooray, probowl and HOF worthy. sign him to a 12 year 150 million dollar deal with 125 million up front. yeah he spotted a blitzing LB

    oh yeah,

    you girlz got mail.

  21. Tony LA Says:

    Hey Robert and goddeep,

The sign of a real man is to give credit when it is due. Pride is for the weak and immature. Also, when you use the term snowflake, 90% of the people immediately discard anything you have to say.

Jameis is only 24 years old. He turned 24 AFTER last season was over. For him to be where he is at that age is exceptional. Aaron Rodgers hadn’t even started an NFL game at this point in his career. Wise up, naysayers – you’re starting to look really foolish.

  22. Robert Says:

so you’re saying he had that rapsheet by the time he was 23?

OMG- no wonder you’re gobblin that goo, but that babybatter done went to yer brain!

don’t you have a #metoo rally to attend?

  23. ChanEpic Says:

The comment section on this site is turning into Breitbart. Anyone using the term “Snowflake” is a cornball of the highest order and most likely an incel. There are studies that prove the connection between saying: “Snowflake” “libs” “leftist” and Erectile dysfunction. Look it up.

  24. Doctor_berto Says:

    Robert,

Apparently you’ve never watched Peyton Manning play. Called out the defender who is blitzing all the time. Helps the line notice him.

  25. Robert Says:

OMFG, now crabby is peyton manning and I have ED…

    you girls are hilarious!

  26. ChanEpic Says:

Robert, yes correct, Sorry to expose you like that but, it had to be done. Now, you do know there is help for people like you right? Seek it.

  27. El_Buc941 Says:

@Robert @GoCheap66 that’s exactly the reason his teammates love him and this TRUE Bucs fanbase,he has that try and stop me mentality. These next 3 weeks off will grow that fire in him to show Roger Goodell and the rest of the NFL that Tampa Bay is no one to BUC WITH!
#THATS MY QB #JAMEIS AGAINST THE WORLD

  28. Robert Says:

el941-his team mates play better for fitz. watch the tape, and now he’s superman taking on goddell????? RLFLMAO

chanic–the only hope for me is skull f*** lil bit**es like you

  29. Grt1 Says:

Man what’s up with these trolls. Joe you should censor these dudes, it shows how stupid and ignorant this fan base really is. Go and support someone or something thing that you agree with, this trolling is terrible man. Our society is doomed , what ever happened to people getting a second chance and innocent until proven guilty. The kid is 24 made the mistake at 22. But you know what I forgot he’s black, so there’s no forgive and forget here in Tampa. Just stating the obvious. Jameis MVP

  30. webster Says:

    @ gunslinger

I can assure the trolls who hate on jameis religiously are not hilary voters. They support agent orange.

  31. DBS Says:

    Changed names again.

  32. Robert Says:

3 whole response before the race card gets pulled. thats a record.

    well done girlz

  33. Godeep66 Says:

Too sensitive today. Especially Tony LA. JW will do see well this year that he averages the 23rd QB taken in fantasy football drafts. And that number is probably a little skewed due to you homers taking him in the first 5-7 rounds. Now, you gotta think that fantasy football experts around the country may know a little bit about what’s going on in the NFL and how the human twilight machine (JW) puts folks too sleep when on TV. Look at his record, look at his turnover to TD ratio and then look at how he quit on his teammates and fans by simply be the short yellow bus patron that he is and always will be. He is done. What are the odds that his first “transgression” and the one that he got popped by the NFL both left the smell of seafood on his fingertips.

  34. Godeep66 Says:

What are the odds that his first “transgressions” and the one that the NFL busted him on would both leave the smell of seafood on his fingertips?

  35. SOEbuc Says:

Hopefully this suspension will help him understand he needs to stop f#cking around off the field cus he looks to be growing into the franchise QB that we’ve been expecting and needing since his rookie year.

  36. Dave Pear Says:

    Robert Says
    and I have ED.
    ——————————————————-
    You are proud of that?

  37. gp Says:

    Robert

    godeep
Y’all do realize that you are the only three JW haters still posting regularly
I guess all the other names you were posting under to try to make yourselves look like a majority have become too difficult for you to use anymore

  38. Reach87 Says:

Luv the morons. Keep it coming. Go Bucs!

  39. Buc1987 Says:

    Robert…it’s PRESEASON you sissy boy.

He called out the LB in pre-season…..pre-season…and THAT bothered you.

Did you see the way HE tied his shoes Robert? OMGAWD Becky!

    Sissy boy!

  40. Iamabuc Says:

@ilikegunslingers….you said it all, right there…We ride with Jaboo!…

  41. Stanglassman Says:

Webster-I Just laugh every time someone on here blames Hillary or metoo for the Jameis hate. These guys obviously think Jameis is too uppity and are uncomfortable with him being the face of the franchise. They were just waiting for any excuse to turn on him.

  42. Buc68 Says:

As an ex OL it’s laughable how dumb Robert and GoDeep are. He was not talking trash. He first alerted his OL to a pending blitz and then told his OL exactly who was coming. If you don’t think Brady does that you are a moron. Beautiful job that greatly assist your OL since he has a better view.

  43. stopthemadness Says:

When did these message boards get so polluted with trolls? Robert and Godeep kindly GTFO.

  44. Godeep66 Says:

Take a look at the reply from ESPNs college sports had to say when asked if the recent negative news would impact his viewership for college football games. JW roped in with Sandusky. Ha.

“I don’t think so,” said Lee Fitting, the vice president of college sports at ESPN and the point person for the company’s coverage of college football. “It has been brutal to watch, brutal to read about. It’s disgusting. It’s depressing. I just think at the end of the day people are still going to watch these games. I don’t want to say it is right or wrong. But — and I hate saying this and it is sad to say this — the sport has been through these rough patches whether it was Joe Paterno and Penn State, Baylor and Art Briles, the Jameis Winston stuff. It’s sad but the sport has been through this. For whatever reason, the sport continue to be very popular”.

  45. Reality_43 Says:

If you guys can’t see the significance of that back shoulder bullet to Godwin, then you guys dont know football.

Godwin made the all pro look helpless.
    Talk about pitch and catch.
Jameis will be just as good when he comes back.

And Monken should definitely call plays.

  46. godeepinmeJameis Says:

I wish jameis would bark that out to me at night in his bed. I see you coming godeep

  47. Jerry Wicky Says:

52 is Christian Jones who was his teammate at FSU…just old teammates havin fun

  48. unbelievable Says:

    @ChanEpic – 100% spot on.

( I was mocking Goderp with my use of it, obviously)

  49. Aaron Says:

#52 is actually his friend and old FSU teammate Christian Jones. I don’t get why people are actually upset about Jameis calling him out.
