Unique Doubleheader Coming For Bucs-Rays Fans

October 16th, 2026

Will this hurt attendance Sunday at The Licht House?

Joe thinks it could.

Moments ago, today’s American League Championship Series baseball game, Game 4 between the Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland, was canceled because of rain. It was pushed to Saturday night and Game 5 of the series now will be played in Cleveland on Sunday afternoon. First pitch is 5:08 p.m.

That means the Rays will start about one hour after the Bucs finish their critical game against the Steelers.

It’s a heck of a day for local sports fans, but Joe’s wondering how many fans planning to head to The Licht House will skip the game and head to Tropicana Field for the popular Rays watch parties inside the dome.

Those watch parties are affordable fun. Gates open early and it’s only $8.00 to get in and only $5.00 to park.

Already, The Licht House will be at least half full with Steelers fans, and Joe suspects a handful of sentimental Packers fans will be in the house. The cheapest Bucs-Steelers seats now on StubHub are going for $180 each.

Plenty of unsold never-been-sold seats are available, though. They start at $177.60 plus tax in the heights of the upper deck.

Hard pass on watching the Bowels lead Yucs sh@t the bed at home.

Baseball is boring as watching paint dry but way better than watching Todd fumble away the season yet again.

He’s the biggest brown stain on the sheets in the history of the franchise.

I cannot attend stadium games anymore, so I will be watching the Bucs on Paramount+. Couldn’t care less about the Rays.

  3. Woodman Says:

Couldn’t care less about Rays WTF ? Why the Rays don’t have a high payroll nobody cares . In the American League championship and nobody cares ? What a town .

Born and raised in Tarpon Springs. Go Rays! Go Lightning! Go Bucs!

The much bigger factor is that the Bucs are on a downward spiral and watching them makes me angry, depressed and/or sick. I used to go to plenty of Bucs games but I am not interested in going this year. It’s getting to the point I feel ashamed wearing Bucs gears in public.

    Go Rays! Go Bolts!

  7. MelvinJunior Says:

Yeah, if they’re still selling for THAT HIGH, for the “cheapest,” then they are totally being gobbled up by Steelers Fans. Cause, NO WAY are Bucs Fans paying THOSE prices. Especially, when they can just go back-to-back, right from their couch. Local bars, watch party (like you said).

  8. Marine Buc Says:

Attendence will be strong on Sunday…

    70% Steelers fans.

Here we go again boys and girls.

    Another decade of this $h!t.
