Extraordinary Collapse By The Bucs Offense

October 18th, 2026

Brace yourself.

The Buccaneers’ final 8 drives today amassed only 121 yards and 6 points.

That’s an average of 15 yards per drive against a good but not great defense. At home.

Todd Bowles noted after the game that playcalling wasn’t up to snuff on defense or offense. Were there no designed runs offensive coordinator Zac Robinson could find late in the game for quarterback Jalon Daniels? Why couldn’t the Bucs find a running game in the second half?

During a span covering parts of the third and fourth quarters, the Bucs mustered four drives that totaled 7 yards. They ended with two punts and two interceptions.

Allegedly, the Bucs are bursting with talent along their offensive line. A team with that kind of trenches power shouldn’t fall into off a cliff after jumping out to a lead. The entire playbook was available to use.

Maybe that’s not a good thing.

Joe running out of ways to say this coach and team is trash hopefully your article don’t get too repetitive

  3. Bucfan593 Says:

Did anyone hear Logan Ryan on the broadcast say the organization and the fans love Zack Robinson? Way to not know anything about the team you are calling a game for.

  4. Todd Watch 2026 Says:

Right on pace for 6 wins…maybe…

  5. Oregon Buc Says:

Bowles is an unfunny joke. Dude is a buffoon of a coach. Time to pull the plug on this abortion of a team

  6. DailyRich Says:

Classic Bowles. We have a lead, why do we need to score more points when we can just kill clock and let the defense win it for us?

  7. Rocky Says:

Joe lets talk something exciting like the new coach. Or what qb do we draft?

  8. TheBucsAnthem Says:

I actually only had the bucs winning 8 games this season…..but I guess I set my expectations too high

  9. Oregon Buc Says:

Hoping for a top 2 draft pick, looks like we have the coaching staff in place to
    make that dream come true!

  10. jimmy Says:

somebody needs to get fired. 7 yards?

  11. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Nope…..trade down for more picks…..the bucs needs MANY player as they can get

  12. Fanofdabucs Says:

Daniels was super inaccurate in the 2nd half. Hard to blame Robinson when your QB is throwing INTs and missing open WRs.

What I do blame on Bowles and Robinson is no running the ball to end the first half and go up 13-0. Really horrible clock management once again.

  13. King of Citrus Park Says:

2 picks were bad. Kanceys roughing the passer cost the game. Let down on both sides of the ball. Steelers were scoreboard watching. When the Ravens lost, they amp’d it up. In OT the Steelers toyed with Bowles D play calling. Todd is weak. Always has been. 3-12 lately. Give the guy champaign, he will turn it into piss warm beer.

  14. DungyDance Says:

How did Atlanta let this guy go?

BTW, Mike McDaniel might not survive the season with the Chargers. As I recall, we were hot to trot with him also. Pickings were not good this past off-season.

  15. SBucs13 Says:

If the Bucs win four games it should be regarded as a miracle.

  16. orlbucfan Says:

It sounded like the usual pattern. The Bucs were kicking Steelers’ butt and then got mysteriously (?) reined in at the start of the second half. All the sudden, Rodgers could do no wrong. I recall vividly when the Bucs trounced Rodgers in GB. The Packers were the champs of their division and hosted Bucs in a home game. Bucs Defense was their usual strength. Times have changed.

  17. King of Citrus Park Says:

Keeping throwing at Dean was not very smart.

Agreed, but I do blame some of that on Egbuka who tried to spin away on the first down pass and ran out of bounds. Stay in bounds, and those three Steelers points at the end of the half don’t happen.

  19. Captain Butt Sweat Says:

If I see Robinson in that white BUCCANEERS hoodie next week and I’m done. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  20. RodMunchisBakersThumb Says:

Both of you guys in this picture are idiots. Absolute morons.

  21. Aaron Says:

games like this hurt, but we have to have them in order to get Bowles out of here.

  22. Lefty_R Says:

    Well, the Defense got tired
Jalon Daniels couldn’t hit an elephant at this distance.
His passes were either no where near anyone or hit the Steelers DB in the numbers

Or the Buccaneers would have won if they made a touchdown in the first half instead of a field goal

The3 whole season has been like this

And Did Robinson completely forget about Cade Otton?

  23. Miller5252 Says:

Year after year and all the stories are the same. Bowles and his coaching staff always find ways to lose, it’s always the same. Don’t matter if it’s Brady or Daniels, it’s always the same thing. They’re proven losers in the NFL and can’t consistently make players better!

I think we saw the entire playbook. This is who Zac R is.
ATL had/has weapons, and Zac didn’t produce anything there.

  25. Swanee22 Says:

The current ownership group cannot demonstrate a clear commitment to building a consistent winner, then perhaps it is time for the Glazer family to consider selling the team and allowing new ownership to take the Buccaneers in a different
    Direction.

The Glazer family owes Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans a formal apology and an acknowledgment of the serious errors in judgment surrounding the head-coaching hiring process. Failing to follow a thorough, transparent, and professional selection process raises legitimate concerns about accountability, leadership, and the business decisions guiding this franchise.

This is about more than money. It’s about football, accountability, winning, and pride in our community.

Tom Brady helped deliver a Super Bowl championship in 2020, giving Tampa Bay one of the greatest moments in franchise history. But the success of that era has not translated into the sustained excellence that Buccaneers fans want and expect. The community is asking for new ownership and a new positive direction.

  26. Bucfan1988 Says:

Joe’s, y’all should set up a poll on how many total wins the Bucs will NOW have this year.

My vote is under 3 wins !!

  27. Bojim Says:

Don’t blame the ‘veteran’ play caller. 😉

  28. Defense Rules Says:

Jpe … ‘Why couldn’t the Bucs find a running game in the second half?’

Uhhh, maybe because our OLine’s run-blocking sucked?

On the good gnus side, we cleaned up the penalties (only 4 versus 14 the week before). And in the process, our OLine seems to have forgotten how to block. I actually felt bad for our young undrafted rookie QB; he was under intense pressure for most of the game.

To go with that though, our receivers seem to have forgotten how to get open. Daniels was throwing in some extremely tight windows, and that might well made him ‘cautious’. Not cautious enough on the 2 INTs of course, but today’s game was definitely the tale of 2 halves. He could do nothing wrong in the 1st half. Unfortunately he do very little right in the 2nd half.

  29. Mikw Says:

Offensive coordinator is terrible with the talent the Bucs have should be putting up 30 points a game

  30. 813bucboi Says:

Either EE2 is overrated or he’s regressed significantly….he doesn’t even look like a #3 option

    GO BUCS

  31. Hodad Says:

Clean house at seasons end. This crew is moving us up the draft, let them cook, or Bake.
