Baker Mayfield Accuracy Throwing Into End Zone
July 6th, 2026This can be interpreted as either bad or good. That’s because Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield is right in the middle.
NFL handicapper turned stathead Warren Sharp decided to document who is the most accurate quarterback on money throws.
What are “money throws?” Throwing into the end zone. Mayfield is in the middle of the pack, tied for No. 14.
So Mayfield is not in the top-ten (grumble). But Mayfield is tied with the great Pat Mahomes (applause)!
Now when Sharp twittered this out, he didn’t specify what was “accurate.” Was he just using completion percentages or was he using something from NextGen Stats? So, what is accurate?
Joe knows there were touchdowns and near touchdowns Mayfield threw to Emeka Egbuka that were absolutely on the money. Couldn’t ask for a better throw.
Something tells Joe that when Mayfield threw to Mike Evans in the end zone, Mayfield wasn’t too worried about accuracy. He was just getting rid of the ball and getting it to an area where he knew Evans had a chance.
Mayfield no longer has that luxury.
Troubling: Mayfield is just below that midget Bryce Young. (Oh, no!)

A middle (😆) QB for the Number 2 Hotseat genius. Who favors the gag in crunch time of games, prime time games and important games.
Great combination.
Mike Evans knows.

Are you the same person as Lynvh? Isn’t it him that brings up prime time games constantly like they are more important than regular games?? All to be disingenuous to try to prove Mayfield’s is bad when he clearly isn’t? If you constantly ask your QB to drive for the game winning TD multiple times in the same game because your defense just turns around and lets the other team score in 2 plays, eventually he *will* make a mistake. Or someone will run an incorrect route. Clean up the defense (we did), and keep the O-line healthy and we will win.
A lot.

Lynch/Mayfield

He needs to find his 2024 connection with JMac. He can get separation and SKY HIGH with those STRONG hands.

@ Stpetematt – it’s not being “disingenuous.” It’s EXPOSING all the SMOKE. Since, “Primetime” Games are usually against GOOD TEAMS and NOT the weak and PATHETIC NFC South. And, it really says A LOT about a player, with how HE PERFORMS under the pressure of the “BRIGHT LIGHTS,” when EVERYONE is watching! IT. MATTERS. But, YOU already knew that… So, WHO is truly being “disingenuous” here!?

Someone tell the Rams they can’t win the SB because Matt is 21 on the list….

Seems like the majority of the QBs that are regarded as the top 10 or “elite” are in the middle of the pack.
If nobody is open and the QB throws the ball out of the end zone, does that count as a good or bad thing? I mean, he accurately got rid of the ball.
Stupid stat!

It’s tough to write articles thin time of year.
July 6th, 2026 at 6:55 am
Sam Darnold was 13th. Mayfield and Mahomes 14th. Hurts and Herbert 17th. Josh Allen, C.J. Stroud, Matthew Stafford and Goff are 19th thru 22nd. No wonder Darnold won the Super Bowl. Oh, wait. Darnold led the league in interceptions? Hmm. I guess that’s what happens when you have the best team (especially the best defense) in the league. Who’d of thunk that? Mayfield is the best QB in the league and it’s only a matter of time before everyone gets it. Tampa Bay has a chance to be the bomb this year, and I ain’t whistling Dixie.

Kenton Smith says:
“Mayfield is the best QB in the league and it’s only a matter of time before everyone gets it.”
Kenton, those meds aren’t just a casual suggestion by your doctor, you really need to start taking them daily.
What makes Faker Suckfield the best QB in the league?? Please advise us all.
Because it certainly isn’t his playoff win percentage! In 2025 that percentage was exactly .000 . Not many QBs are great enough to do that!!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

@Stpetematt aka the Floormatt
Prime time games are very relevant due to the exposure they provide and how you measure your team for future success in big games.
The results are in for Faker Suckfield, and they aren’t pretty.
There’s a direct correlation between the prime time record in the regular season and his playoff record. They both suck out loud.
And you’re one of the lemmings always saying Bowles is a great HC. You can’t then turn around and use the defense as an excuse for Faker’s performance.
Here endeth the lesson.

Ask yourself. What is a “great coach” one that wins 12-14 games and gets bounced in the playoffs?? Or the wildcard coach that gets hot in December and makes the playoffs and wins a game or 2 or the one that consistently plays meaningful games in December ,where you have that chance making to the tournament every year…
July 6th, 2026 at 11:35 am
Well SteveV, fortunately for the Bucs they don’t have a coach like you describe. Since he’s been his own boss he has exactly one playoff win against a team who was already in the lint filter. Whatever a great coach is, the Bucs coach embodies and demonstrates the opposite.
Look up the definition of “Loser.”
July 6th, 2026 at 12:19 pm
Hmmm, not seeing anyone other than Dak who earns more than mayfield below him on this list. 50th percentile is not top tier
July 6th, 2026 at 12:19 pm
Steve V,
The answer is BOTH..
However, if you’re attempting to connect your possible parable to bowles…, then 3.28 is absolutely correct.
Then again, you didn’t describe bowles in anyway, nor embarrass yourself in an attempted lie by mentioning bowles name. So I have to assume your speaking of the strongest coach we’ve ever had… “Mr Bruce Arians” fits your descriptions quite nicely. You know, bozo’s DADDY!
Now I know there are those that would argue that “Chucky” might have been our greatest…… but I don’t feel the same level of accomplishment from or between the two. In otherwords, one felt (and was) a one hit wonder, and the other KEPT PUSHING FOR THE WHOLE ENCHILADA,… NO MATTER WHAT!
At least that’s how I feel about it.
