Rachaad White Signs With The Commanders

It’s a one-year deal for Rachaad White!
White takes his 25 career Buccaneers touchdowns to Dan Quinn country and the Commanders. White signed today and he’ll re-join his Arizona State college quarterback, Jayden Daniels, who is returning for his third season after a slew of injuries torpedoed his season and the Commanders’ last year. No money terms have been reported as Joe types this.
Is new Bucs running back Kenny Gainwell as good as White? Maybe. He’s certainly just as versatile. Joe suspects Gainwell is significantly more motivated.
White was a professional last season but was eager to move on and voiced that publicly after the season.
Joe wishes White well. It will be interesting to see the terms of his contract.

Looking at a bunch of signings and they are 1 year contracts, that can’t mean that many teams are in rebuilding mode or does it.

1 year should be disrespectful to white. He could certainly run harder and north-to-south vs his pansy tip toe start and east-to-west running (that no one ever corrected!), but bro can catch and run.

These 1 year deals are pretty standard for marginal players. The are “prove it” deals/
About right for White. He could block and catch, but cutting and running was not his strong suit.
Gainwell is FAR better. Ask any Pittsburg fan.

But wait, we just signed a 32 year old coming off a torn ACL from Pittsburgh to yet another 1 year deal. This time next year we will have about 20 thirty five years olds with injuries on expired contracts.

I always believed Rachaad White was a better all around RB than Bucky
.
But l don’t believe he’s a better all around RB than Kenneth Gainwell
Gainwell is a Swiss Army Knife
He catches the ball from the slot, and as a outside WR
He can pickup the blitz, he runs between the tackle
He breaks tackles, he play special teams, all phases
He’s durable, don’t take plays off, rarely misses games

Glad he landed something. He hurt himself because he couldn’t keep his mouth shut. Good player, Gainwell is better. Losing Mike for this season is a downgrade but after that it’s a crapshoot. Players are leaving looking for better opportunities just like any of us would. Izein is not a big loss nor is Logan hall, White or part time Dean. Funny how many people complained about these players but now whine they are leaving.

Maybe this will help with Captainship this year as well and having role models for these young defensive players to go to when they got questions….

I was puzzled about Muhammad
I know he didn’t do much until last season
But the guy had 11 sacks and 53 pressures in only 457 snaps
And Licht got him for the low

Gainwell is not better. He’s smaller and the numbers are comparable. But considering Gainwell got every opportunity and White had to carry Bucky’s diaper bag, I’d say advantage white. I will give new guy the nod in returns

Both can be true at the same time. Just know the Bucs WILL NOT do any long term deals or commitments this off-season. The entire team is on a prove it deal…along with the coaches.

Never much of a White fan. Good receiver but seems like Gainwell is a better receiver and can also play special teams.
White became too much of a diva to play special teams. He was clearly one of the bad attitude guys the team was complaining about.

I’m wondering if they are saving money to extend Baker. Seeing Daniel Jones get a two year deal for $88M scares the crap out of me. I don’t know Baker’s numbers, but I thought he was mid 20M per year. Daniel Jones is not worth double what Baker is to me. Baker is a dog. He’s not perfect, but I love him. I’d take Baker a million times over Daniel Jones. So to me, they are taking some of the money that was earmarked for Mike Evans and saving it to pay Baker.
