Pete Prisco Has Jason Licht Selecting…
March 26th, 2026Well, if Joe is going to cite a schlock draft, at least highlight one from a guy that Joe trusts.
Prickly Pete Prisco of CBS published his first schlock. Joe knows Prisco actually puts in effort and research. And he won’t type something stupid like someone from CBS did earlier this month having the Bucs pick an offensive lineman at No. 15.
Prisco believes Bucs AC/DC-loving general manager Jason Licht is going edge rusher. Prisco thinks Keldric Faulk of Auburn is the target.
They need more help for their pass rush. Faulk seems to fit the type of player general manager Jason Licht likes to draft. His best football is in front of him.
Joe can’t attest to seeing Faulk. While Joe watches a ton of college football, Joe doesn’t watch much SEC, certainly not Auburn. Texas, Georgia, Oklahoma and Alabama, yeah. And maybe a little of Tennessee.
Auburn was pretty rank last year, so no, Joe didn’t watch them.
“This Joe” will repeat his desire that the Bucs should not draft an edge rusher at No. 15. Joe just does not have any faith — until proven otherwise — this coaching staff can or will develop a rookie edge rusher. Bringing in a veteran is a totally different story.
“This Joe” fears drafting an edge rusher at No. 15 is akin to lighting a draft pick on fire with the current coaching staff. Drafting an edge rusher in the second round or later, OK.
NFL draft guru Daniel Jeremiah has Faulk ranked No. 32 overall in his prospect rankings so drafting him at No. 15 seems a little bit of a reach.
Faulk is a versatile defensive lineman with an ideal frame and length. He aligned up and down the front in Auburn’s scheme. He lacks ideal twitch and explosion, but he’s a very loose, fluid mover. As a pass rusher, he doesn’t have an elite get-off but still finds ways to win with a swooping arm-over or steady pocket push. He doesn’t always have a plan, which impacts his production. Against the run, he can stack and hold the point of attack because of his length and balance. He’ll shoot gaps at times and provide penetration to force negative plays. His effort is good, and coaches rave about his character/work ethic. Overall, I was hoping he would play with more ferocity, but there’s a lot to dream about with his potential.
Keldric Faulk (6’6 280) Auburn
+ Ability to set an edge
+ 85.5 run defense grade in 2025
+ Just an 8.5% missed tackle rate for his career
+ Utilization of his length
+ Alignment versatility
+ 45 pressures and 7 sacks in 2024
+ Doesn’t turn 21 until September

March 26th, 2026 at 9:06 am
Well Bowles will love the plays he drops back into coverage…
March 26th, 2026 at 9:09 am
JL is a nervous and desperate GM
March 26th, 2026 at 9:12 am
“Potential” – pass! Not at 15, maybe round 2 if he is there. JTS and Braswell had potential. We need, cough, “Production “.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:13 am
Yeah our coaching staff certainly cannot develop a pass rusher
Id trade up for Sonny Styles for trade back to get picks
March 26th, 2026 at 9:19 am
Priduction over potential should be the theme of the draft.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:24 am
Don’t take Faulk. 2 sacks?!? In a whole season? Nope. Not that guy.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:25 am
I see him more as an impact defender than a QB eater. Since we already have our sackmaster in AQM, Faulk could actually be a solid every-down piece.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:29 am
Yeah, pick Faulk Jason, you’ll be out of a job next season. I’m no scouting expert, but I’m not using a 1st round pick on a player who only managed 2 sacks in college.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:29 am
Anyone watching that tape can see that is not 1st round talent
March 26th, 2026 at 9:31 am
So a less productive Logan Hall
March 26th, 2026 at 9:34 am
Pass, better run defender than pass rusher, but doesn’t have a pass rush plan nearly as refined as a Bailey, Bain or Howell.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:36 am
Production over potential every time. This guy smells like Joe Tryon, Logan Hall and braswell mixed together. Loads of potential. Little production. This is why I’m so curious to see Walker. Production every year he played. And even though Kancy is an injury waiting to happen, he was also productive in college and has been productive when he’s been on the field.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:38 am
At pick 15 Faulk would be an overreach. Trading back to receive another draft pick could make sense, but Jason Licht is unpredictable as evidenced in last year’s draft. He looks 😍 at need both now and in the future.
His choices are thoughtful. Haven’t a clue but it’s interesting to watch the reaction of the prognosticaders. That’s when their craziness begins in showing how clueless they are. It’s fun to watch.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:40 am
That doesn’t sound like a number 15 pick at all.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:42 am
TE from Oregon or a beastly guard….1st rd pick needs to be a legit starter. Pass rushers rarely pan out, generally minimal impact first year. I have more faith in the offense keeping our season a float than anything Bowles could put together on defense. Bowles has had countless picks dedicated to his defense and we’ve been avg at best. The offense is what has routinely made our season, league is built for offense to thrive. Let’s stop pretending Bowles can develop a pass rusher or that his defense is a difference maker. Opposing teams are taking our OCs, not a single team has went after our defensive assistants.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:45 am
Drafting Keldric Faulk is more stupid than drafting Vegas Ioane
SMDH
March 26th, 2026 at 9:46 am
Logan Hall pt. 2, hard pass. He is not explosive at all and not bendy
March 26th, 2026 at 9:49 am
He’s got a munch type talent level. I’m sure he and his mother are impressed.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:50 am
U draft this guy ur fired. Ridiculous. Nooo production. U draft messidor period.
March 26th, 2026 at 9:52 am
If we draft this dude I’m out this year..
March 26th, 2026 at 9:53 am
Big guy. Moves well. Why not?
March 26th, 2026 at 9:54 am
Joe … ‘“This Joe” will repeat his desire that the Bucs should not draft an edge rusher at No. 15. Joe just does not have any faith — until proven otherwise — this coaching staff can or will develop a rookie edge rusher. Bringing in a veteran is a totally different story.’
I like those 3 lines Joe, but we’ve already brought in a veteran … Muhammad. He was a full-time starter with Indy back in 2021 (801 def snaps) and did reasonably well on a very average (9-8) team, with 6 sacks, 13 QB hits, 7 TFL, 1 FF & 48 tackles (32 solo). And his production with Detroit last season in only 457 def snaps (11 sacks, 20 QB hits, 9 TFLs, 25 tackles (15 solo) impresses me.
I think that it’s a lot more important to Todd Bowles that our OLBs protect the outside than it is that they pass rush. IOW, I think he pushes Run Defense as THE priority, and that keeps our Edge guys from ever really turning it loose. I think he does the same thing in the middle (that’s what Logan Hall was talking about when he said …
“In Tampa, I think you know [I] was kind of stand and bang, fight the good fight,” Hall said. “I think here I’d have more of an opportunity to pin my ears back and go, which is outstanding.”
Bowles blitzes a lot, but with his ILBs & Secondary usually. Last season LVD blitzed 55 times, SVD blitzed 55 times & Winfield blitzed 53 times out of our total 276 blitzes. Our OLBs (Diaby, Reddick, Nelson, Braswell, Watts, JPP) blitzed a TOTAL of only 59 times for the 6 of them … only 4 more than either LVD or SVD blitzed.
Back in 2019 when Shaq got 19.5 sacks the Bucs blitzed 613 times. Shaq alone blitzed 174 times that year. Nassib blitzed another 84 times, while JPP blitzed 23 times for an OLB total of 281 blitzes that year … more than we blitzed as a team in 2025. Shaq was being used ‘differently’ than Bowles uses current OLBs it appears. Apparently paid off?
March 26th, 2026 at 9:58 am
I watched his tape he is just a tweener I saw nothing that was impressive and he has no burst or pop
March 26th, 2026 at 10:01 am
“Shaq was being used ‘differently’ than Bowles uses current OLBs it appears. Apparently paid off?”
If a guy shows you he can win, snap after snap. I’d think you’d give him more freedom/rope to do that, instead of doing what we’ve had to do post-Shaq and manufacture pressure.
March 26th, 2026 at 10:03 am
The Bucs haven’t shown they can develop edge rushers, no more potential, go with production. If Licht selects Faulk, he should be fired.
March 26th, 2026 at 10:09 am
Just draft edge rushers.
March 26th, 2026 at 10:10 am
I see a lot of missed tackles…not a first rounder. Who puts a tape together like that ? Supposed to be highlights. If that is his highlights, he is a 2 but probably 3rd rounder
March 26th, 2026 at 10:26 am
Faulk does not seem to attack the quarterback!
March 26th, 2026 at 10:34 am
Faulk is 20 years old. He needs to stay in school at least another year, or even 2 more.
Just stay at #15 and pick best player available. That might be Sadiq if he gets by the Ravens, and it might even be the generational talent Ioane at a natural Left Guard.
Cannot go wrong with either. Lots of desparate people want to try to force a pass rusher that would take 2-3 years to develop.
If Sadiq makes it to #15 just grab him. That allows Robinson to run the 12 formations he loves, and Sadiq is a terrific blocker. Something we lost with Evans leaving.
Lakeland and others have pointed out that we didn’t score many points in the last half of the season. Boosting the offense we have now would get us 9 wins or more before you account for a vastly improved Special Teams unit.
Too many trolls sowing negativity. Don’t buy it. This years team will be vastly improved by subtraction of the parts that needed pruning. And some smart free agent pickups.
GO BUCS!!
March 26th, 2026 at 10:36 am
Medics Faulk is all Potential needs to be developed. Do we really need one of those? Are you serious? That would be a nightmare Todd balls cannot develop a defensive lineman to save his life
March 26th, 2026 at 10:43 am
Trade back unless a top five back falls to fifteen.
March 26th, 2026 at 10:47 am
I’m just a little confused at how Joe is self-admitted football junkie and yet when it comes to college football, you DON’T watch the SEC….
A football lover not watching a conference that has some of the best football there is. Make that make sense and spread the love.
March 26th, 2026 at 10:51 am
I would draft TE Sadiq, OG Ioane, WR Boston if l can’t trade down
This offense is a long way from being a Top Offense
March 26th, 2026 at 11:01 am
Prisco is a giant goober when it comes to his draft analysis 🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️….
There’s ZERO chance his guy is the selection….
March 26th, 2026 at 11:01 am
If this is his highlight reel, it wasn’t too impressive. Good player but not at 15.
March 26th, 2026 at 11:05 am
Hard pass. Slow & late to the party on the majority of his highlights, and those are the highlights! Although, he might be perfect since virtually every edge we draft seems to be a half step late.
March 26th, 2026 at 11:15 am
If a stud offensive lineman falls to us at 15. Why wouldn’t we take them? We had revolving doors on our line last season and it hurt us almost as much as Baker playing injured.
March 26th, 2026 at 11:20 am
Based on what I read at NFL Draft Buzz, not a good fit for the Bucs. He’s a very high character guy who is excellent in the run game but only slightly above average in pass rushing. With good coaching he could develop his pass rush skills – but we know that under Bowles he won’t get that. However if Licht is drafting for the 2027 head coach, then maybe pick him up.
March 26th, 2026 at 11:21 am
Watch a David Bailey highlight video then a Faulk one. Then tell me which player will get 10 or 20 sacks in a season? Just the eyeball test is enough to know this is NOT the guy and certainly not in the first round at 15.
March 26th, 2026 at 11:55 am
TERRIBLE TAPE
Zero explosion. Soft moves. He just takes up space. He’s a dime a dozen.
I wouldn’t draft him in the 4th.
March 26th, 2026 at 12:04 pm
Taking your analogy, why is it ok to light a second round pick on fire and not a first? Given the state of the team.
The coaching staff is likely gone after this year. So draft the guy who you think has all pro level talent. Whether it’s guard, te, edge, lb or corner.
You have to trust that the next guy can get the most out whomever you select.
March 26th, 2026 at 12:21 pm
Faulk was incredible the season before last. Last season Auburn had him doing way too much two-gap work, which I think most draft guys attribute to his down year.
Faulk is a stud. He’s getting pushed down the draft board because some freak athletes tested great at the Underwear Olympics. I hate trusting Bowles with his development, but he would absolutely be the correct pick if he’s on the board at 15. If not Faulk, I’d be trying like crazy to trade down.
March 26th, 2026 at 12:26 pm
HECK NO!!!!!
mainly because Bowles hasnt developed a pass rusher and Faulk wont keep baker clean or improve the run game!!!
trade back…select OG Kadyn Proctor with the 1st selection
GO BUCS!!!!!
March 26th, 2026 at 12:29 pm
Im guessing the same people commenting that Faulk stinks think that Sonny Styles is a can’t miss prospect because he runs really fast.
March 26th, 2026 at 12:45 pm
Looks like Tarzan, plays like Joe Tryin-Shoyinka.
Faulk is a classic 4-3 DE, we run a 3-4 defense. Faulk doesn’t fit. We don’t need another edge that can eventually get to 7 sacks in a season – after 3 seasons.
No thanks, pass.
March 26th, 2026 at 12:48 pm
No production = Do not draft — especially given Bowles inability to develop a DE
March 26th, 2026 at 12:50 pm
Hahaha. Ya because raw with potential has been panning out. Either the prospect is a bust or they can’t develop the player.
March 26th, 2026 at 2:28 pm
Usually a highlight reel gets u pumped up! This was underwhelming at best! And a reach on top of it all!? No thanks…in the second round, sure take a chance
March 26th, 2026 at 2:42 pm
I can see this happening honestly he could Take over for Logan Hall an I think he is way better then Logan Hall the.more.i watch him the more I think he could be Great on our DLine with Robinson Vita Kancey an Roberts I actually wouldnt mind this pick at 15 he is already a monster at stopping the run an he has 7 sacks in 2024 so he can get to the QB an he’s only 21 he can develop into more of a pass rusher he takes on doubles he makes TFL an he gets nice.pressure if he is the pick he can take Halls Position on the Line an he gives the Bucs more Push up the Middle kancey Faulk Roberts for passing downs
March 26th, 2026 at 3:09 pm
I do not like Faulk at all. He’s another tweener guy, who is coming off a middling year. He’s too big for a stand-up 3-4 role, and too small for DE in a 3-4 – and in any case would be put into the Hall role where you’re there more to soak up offensive lineman than to get production.
I think out of everyone I’ve watched tape on and read about so far, Faulk is the guy I think is the worst fit for the Bucs, and I’m not really sure why he’s so highly ranked – I just don’t see anything about him that looks special, and the tweener label seems legit.
I certainly could be wrong, I don’t watch college ball, so only read and see clips after the year, so perhaps I’m missing something, but for all the hype on the guy, I just don’t see it.
March 26th, 2026 at 3:18 pm
He says this guy is kind of player the BUCS like to draft. Well he’s right. This guy sounds exactly like Logan Hall. 6’6″ 280. Defensive tackle. If he’s still there in the 4th round maybe.
March 26th, 2026 at 4:48 pm
I still like Mesidor better.
March 26th, 2026 at 5:36 pm
Just gotta draft it better.
Scheme it better, coach it better, play it better.
No explanation needed for a plan of attack to accomplish those things.
Just empty rhetoric and boring platitudes from Bowles and Licht.
They must really think we’re dumb.
March 26th, 2026 at 6:54 pm
Not much sack production in college. Bowles will solve that. He has proven methods.
March 26th, 2026 at 8:20 pm
Post a tape like that for someone you say is going in round 1?
March 26th, 2026 at 11:28 pm
Man his highlights are brutal to watch, no thanks.
