Zac Robinson: Bucs Offensive Line Can Be Top Shelf
February 6th, 2026New Bucs offensive coordinator Zac Robinson didn’t have to have his arm twisted to take the Bucs’ gig when he interviewed last month.
Joe had asked Robinson about what sort of “sell” Todd Bowles did to lure him to Tampa Bay. Robinson explained it wasn’t a “sell” at all. There was no need for Bowles to sell Robinson on the opening.
Later, Robinson was asked what he liked about the Bucs offense. The following won’t comfort the folks who always seem to think the offensive is the root of all evil and the source of unrest in the Middle East.
(Last season with all the injuries, folks were absolutely correct to stomp their feet about the Bucs’ offensive line.)
“You [have] to start with the offensive line,” Robinson said. “The offensive line is built the right way. When that group is going, there’s no offensive line that you’d rather have around the league, so it starts with those guys up front.”
Joe thinks that when healthy, the Bucs are easy a top-five offensive line in the league. Two years ago when then-Bucs offensive coordinator Liam Coen had the offense humming, Joe isn’t so sure you could find two teams with a better offensive line than the Bucs.
Is that line perfect? No. We saw what happened with Cody Mauch went down for the season. And it got worse when Ben Bredeson blew up his knee.
Hopefully, the Bucs find find a little more capable backups at guard so the line doesn’t cave in if Bredeson and/or Mauch go down again.

Who is responsible for the lack of backups? Who is responsible for a Defense bereft of Edge and ILBs?
Combine that with a coach with a pattern of 3-4 game losing streaks.
Anyone think good FAs want to jump onto the burning ship?
Anyone think a group of new assistants are going to fix the situation?
Don’t buy tickets. Don’t drink stadium beer or eat stadium hot dogs.
You’re wasting your money and feeding the disrespect.
Jay Glazer is right.
5-12 or 6-11.

Better draft Loane for that.

I’m with Ken. This team is an absolute dumpster fire. Todd is going to be using a lot of his go to’s next season…..”We got to coach it better and we have to play it better. If I never heard that phrase again it would be much too soon.
