Wagering On The Bucs

February 4th, 2026

Bucs fans looking for value.

The odds should be pretty long on this, which means Bucs fans who enjoy wagering could hit a major payday.

As we all know, the Bucs missed the playoffs. It has peeved a lot of Bucs fans off who have since, relentlessly, demand someone at One Buc Palace inspire change.

The Bucs had a 6-2 record with a shot at the No. 1 overall seed. They instead proceeded to puke on their shoes, lose seven of their last nine games and miss the playoffs.

That’s bad news all around.

There have been 58 Super Bowl. Only 13 times (22 percent) has a team that missed the playoffs and the very next season won a Super Bowl.

The last time that happened was after the 2020 season. You may remember that game. Tom Brady led the Bucs to a Super Bowl title.

So history frowns on the Bucs’ chances of winning it all next February. But one should get decent numbers to take a stab at a nice payday.

So long as Todd B remains coach, nothing good will happen to the Bucs. With Mayfield, the team will be entertaining, but with a bottom feeding defense this team is doomed. Doubt it? Look at the defenses of NE and Seattle in this season SB. Drake Maye “won” the AFC Championship throwing for 84 yards as NE won 10-7.

Agree w gipper- short of a massive free agent overhaul which won’t be happening

  3. Aqualung Says:

Bet the ranch on Todd Bowles. You can’t lose, it’s a lay down.

Gambling is ruining sports or let’s promote gambling. Which is it, Joe?

  5. Bosch Says:

Gipper if you really think about it, Denver lost that game when they lost Bo Nix. If not for his back up’s “backward pass”, Denver wins 7 – 3. And weather shut down both offenses in the second half.

    F*CK GAMBLING

  7. Kenton Smith Says:

I popped my gambling “cherry” on this Tampa Bay team in right before the 2024 season. I quit gambling “cold turkey” after the 3rd game of the 2025 season. Gambling is bad. But I don’t think it’s as bad as our 2025 team was.

    Normalized addictions, nice.

It’s up there with sugar and the devils dandruff

Some of you people are so slow…. context matters, clowns. Drake Maye threw for 84 yards… in a driving snowstorm… did you somehow miss all that white stuff falling on the field? Footing was awful…. Sure… 22%… maybe that’s because good teams tend to stay good, bad teams tend to stay bad…. the Bucs were far from bad. The Bucs of 2019 were far from bad… changing one player made a huge difference… not as big as the St Louis Rams difference in 1999 changing out one player, but it was a huge difference. The Bucs lost out on the playoffs due to a tiebreaker… the one player difference this time is going to be a coach… I’m not a Zac Robinson fan… he’s a little above average…. while Grizzard was definitely below average. That difference of 5-7 points will be the difference between 8 wins and 11 or 12.

Just bet against the Bowles defensive scheme.

You’ll clean up every time. It’s like giving away candy.

Worst HC in the NFL hands down.

  11. Saskbucs Says:

Hahaha or just light the money on fire. Bucs aren’t sniffing it with Bowles as HC. Robinson, Mayfield and the O would have to carry him a loooooong way.

As we see in these playoffs, you need a good Defense. I highly doubt enough defensive talent is added this offseason to overcome Bowles scheme and conservative ways.

Here is the blueprint for winning money next season.
Step 1 – Bet on the Bucs the first 2 weeks (assuming they come through preseason healthy)
Step 2 – Bet on opposing QB and WR yards
Step 3 – After week 8, if the opposing team has a winning record, bet them
Step 4 – 1st game outta the Bucs bye, bet the house on the opposing team

Step 2 and 3 might not hit every week, but keep at it and watch the account grow!

Glad I stopped making bets on them after the New England game.
